Hello everyone! I am so sorry about the wait, I'm hoping that this will hold you off for a while, we are almost to the end! Please leave some reviews!
"Hey Korra, what's that red stuff on your lips?"Meelo bounced in a large circle around her, hopping his way here and there as he tried to inspect the red substance that was smeared across Korra's lips closer. He squinted his eyes, giggling when Korra's cheeks heated ten degrees and she wiped at her lipstick stained lips frivolously. The source of the stain was slowly following her out of her bedroom, wearing a look of smugness and pride; when their eyes met, shivers ran up and down the length of Korra's spine.
Things with the heiress were certainly heating up. Their nights always started innocent enough, they would climb into bed together and hold each other close, but soon enough things would change. Korra's hands would run down the length of Asami's side, resting on her waist in an attempt to pull her warm body even closer. Asami in turn would bury her face in Korra's neck, and Korra loved to feel her breath ghost over the sensitive skin there.
At first, there had been a moment of shyness, as there usually is, Korra was hesitant to touch too much, to push too far, and Asami in turn was scared she would still somehow hurt Korra; even though the southern woman insisted everything was fine after another week of rest had passed. They'd had a talk about that the night before, Korra insisted many many times that she felt fine, and then proceeded to prove herself. Although they didn't quite get as far as she'd wanted to; it'd been about three in the morning when a soft knock echoed through her room, scaring the two apart.
Korra had grumpily stalked to the door, about to give whoever had interrupted them a very big piece of her mind. She'd flung the door nearly off its hinges, but paused when all she found was a tearful little Rohan clutching his blanket. Her mood immediately shifted from angry to compassionate, Asami had only caught part of his little cries, but from what she understood, little Rohan had a nightmare, and he wanted his big strong Korra to sleep with to protect him. So Korra scooped up the young boy, and tucked him into their bed between the two of them. Asami couldn't have been upset or angry if she'd tried, the way Rohan had snuggled up to Korra's side and had almost at once fallen asleep was way too cute to handle.
Rohan was gone when they woke, apparently Pema had come to take the little boy early that morning, letting the two young women sleep peacefully in each others arms. That was until Asami had rolled over, only to catch a glimpse of Korra sprawled out, illuminated by the morning sun. The heiress took her time admiring the way the sun glittered over dark skin and lean muscle. Korra's arms were curled around a pillow, clutching it in such a way that made the muscles in her arms stand out tremendously.
Asami couldn't help but imagine what it'd be like to be held lovingly in those strong arms while the two shared some intimate actions together. The thought had goosebumps raising up on every inch of her skin, and she reached out to stroke the skin of Korra's neck with her fingertips. The southern woman didn't stir from the action, so Asami continued her ministrations, she began to run her fingers down the center of Korra's back until she reached the hem of her night shirt. Her fingers touched warm skin and she flattened her palm completely against the small of Korra's back. She heard the sleeping woman murmur something softly when she let her hand glide north
over her spine.
'Spirits, she's beautiful'
Asami thought, her heart thudded in her chest. She could hardly believe where they were now, or that they had gone through so much together in just a couple of months. It was turning out to be an eventful summer for sure.
Yet, they still had so far to go, they had to take care of her father, that wasn't something she could just let go of. The heiress was so deep in her thoughts she didn't notice that Korra had rolled over to face her, now wide awake.
"Mmm g'morning Asami," Korra yawned. Asami jumped, startled a little. She pulled the hand she had on Korra close to herself, feeling somewhat embarrassed.
"Good morning," Asami squeaked quietly. The way Korra looked in that moment, sitting up now with the early morning light filtering in and illuminating her, had the heiress breathless. Her short hair was a mess, and as she stretched her night shirt rode up to reveal beautiful dark skin underneath. She had the overwhelming feeling to throw herself onto the southern princess and-
"Asami?" Korra waved a hand in front of green eyes, unfocused and seemingly lost in another world, "are you okay?"
Asami blushed a deep red and cleared her throat, forcing a smile, "I'm okay, just really hungry".
Korra grinned and bounced in place, "Let's go get breakfast! Today's gonna be a good day, I can tell!" she placed a quick kiss on Asami's lips and then bounded into the bathroom.
Asami let out a sigh and flopped back onto the the bed, she stared up at the ceiling, the feeling of Korra's lips still lingering. It seemed like it was getting harder and harder to control herself around Korra, and she couldn't bring herself to feel bad about it.
Chief Beifong approached the front steps of the Sato mansion, an officer at each shoulder. The summer sun beat down harshly on this particular morning, making her wish for a moment she didn't need to be in full police garb for this visit. Before they even made it to the door to knock, a maid had the door open and ready for them, instructing them to follow her to meet Hiroshi in his study. Her two officers spread to either side of the doorway.
He sat facing away from them in his small office space, the blinds were drawn shut and the room felt stagnant, as if he'd spent many days and nights in the room. At the sound of their entrance he turned, and Lin took the time to examine him in the brief moment of silence that passed between them. He looked tired, his eyes were swollen and red, and his beard had grown out to an alarming length for such a usually dignified man.
"Ah, Chief Beifong, to what do I owe this pleasure?" he cracked a smile and motioned for her to take a seat across from his at his desk. She took the offered seat as he continued, "I hope I've done nothing wrong," he paused for a moment, his face taking on a worried look, "please tell me this isn't about my sweet Asami."
Lin leaned back in her seat, "Actually that's why we are here, we had a few more questions to ask her about the attack she witnessed the other week".
Hiroshi rubbed at his beard, frowning he said, "I would love to help you, but she hasn't been here for weeks, and I'm worried to death something may have happened to her out there".
Lin raised her brow, leaning forward in her seat a bit now, "Do you know where she is?"
"She's on Air Temple Island, staying with Tenzin and his family," his voice turned hard, just enough to catch her attention, "ever since the attack she's been acting strange, I don't know what happened out there. She refused to eat, or even talk to me, and then one day, she just left. Please cheif, if you talk to her, convince her to come home," he choked back a sob and then cleared his throat to compose himself, "she's my little girl, I miss her very much, and I just want her home".
Lin stood, nodding one last time to Hiroshi, "We'll do what we can".
On their way back to their cruiser, Officer Dunske began to speak, "he seemed genuinely concerned, he looks like a worried father that hasn't slept in weeks, are you sure that he is the one that started all of this?"
Lin pulled the driver door open and turned to face the two men, "if there is one thing my mother taught me to do well, it was to tell when people were lying, and that is exactly what we heard in there".
"You've got it! Now just bend your knees a little and..."Korra held Asami by the waist, trying to balance them both on her longboard in the midst of waves and mist.
Asami struggled to keep herself balanced while trying to keep them steering away from shore. Earlier Korra decided it'd be a good idea to teach the young heiress how to surf, on such a nice day, why not. They came to a calm glide and Asami dropped to her butt on the board, it only took seconds for Korra to do the same. She turned to face the southern woman, and grinned when she saw all the wet hair stuck to Korra's cheeks.
"Shouldn't you be practicing for your tournament? It's only a week away," the heiress said brushing the stray hairs out of Korra's face.
"Nah, I'd much rather be spending my days with you,"Korra grinned, leaning in to receive a kiss.
"Now," Korra pulled her up into a wobbling standing position on the board, "let's try again".
Tenzin was always known to be the calm, level headed one in the family, but when he saw none other than Chief Lin Beifong walking up to the temple that afternoon, his calm vanished, leaving nothing but worry in the pit of his chest. He greeted her at the door, offering her something to make her feel more welcome in his home. She declined and instead went straight to business, as usual.
"I hear that Asami Sato is staying with you and your family, along with the young Water Chieftain's daughter," she began.
Tenzin cleared his throat, "she is welcome here as long as she wants".
Lin nodded, "and where are they now?"
Tenzin led Chief Beifong out onto the beach where he had last seen the two, 'canoodling' like lovestruck teenagers. They kept a respectable distance from the two, but as Lin watched, she assumptions became all the more clear.
"I need to talk to them both".
