Kagome groaned in exasperation as she watched the two brothers attack each other she honestly did not understand why they were fighting. She watched with disinterested as Sesshomaru tossed Inuyasha through a few unlucky trees and then run off after him to continue the fight. She may as well be invisible for all the attention she was getting.
A sudden realization hit her, and she cursed under her breath. Sesshomaru was too preoccupied with his brother to notice her, a wicked smirk lit up her face. While they were busy fighting, she was going to use this opportunity to leave. Swimming to shore, she slowly lifted herself out of the spring and took off in the opposite direction.
The farther away she got from Sesshomarus aura the less enthusiastic she became about her chance of escape. She slowly came to a stop to catch her breath.
Why was she trying to escape from Sesshomaru? She wanted to be with him, to have him forever by her side. 'Who is it that you are running from?' she tensed, when a dark voice whispered, from somewhere deep inside her mind. 'Do not be alarmed Kagome' there it was again that deep rough growl that rumbled from within her mind. She began to feel frightened, she worried it was him poking around in her mind, trying to lower her defenses. 'I am not Naraku Kagome' she shivered at hearing his name, the name she refused to acknowledge.
'Then who are you?' she asked
'I am you' this answer confused her
'I don't understand' and she did not, how could there be two of her? No, this must be a trap that, or she was going crazy. 'You're doubtful? Then allow your mind to focus on my aura' she hesitated, still afraid it was a hoax to jump her when her senses were elsewhere.
However, a part of her deep inside felt the need to know. She looked around to make sure she was alone before allowing, her eyes to drift closed. All she saw was darkness, but she did not panic because she knew she was somewhere in her subconscious, she did not feel threatened she felt safe and at home. A sudden movement captured her attention, and she turned in the only direction that illuminated a light glow.
She gasped her hand flying to cover her mouth; she stared in awe at the beautiful creature before her and took a step towards it. Hovering in the air in front her was an unusual creature that resembled a dog, but it felt different, its aura was strange. It was beautiful, with soft silver fur and long white wings. It had big large fangs the size of her arm and long sharp claws; she also noticed that the creature could not move. Long black vines shackled its body to keep it restrained. 'What are you' she asked not quite sure what she was seeing
'I am your other half' it growled softly in her mind
'What do you mean my other half?' she asked in a daze, what did she have to do with this creature?
'What do you know about demons?' the creature asked, licking a row of long sharp teeth
'I do not know much about them, I've spent most of my life alone or near humans' thanks to that bastard she did not have much of a life.
'What about Sesshomaru' the creature asked, peering at her intently with unusual glowing orbs 'he has two sides does he not?' she paused in her appraisal of the creature and stared blankly into its eyes. She noticed that it sported a pair of glowing gold and silver orbs that added to its unique beauty.
'Yes he does, but what does that have to' she trailed off as a light went on somewhere in her head cluing her in on what the creature had been hinting at all along. 'No freaking way' she was not a demon, she just could not be 'You're lying.' the creature snarled baring sharp canines at her remark 'not a liar.'
'You are a liar' she shouted anger eating at her core driving her crazy with madness. 'Because if I was a demon I would have known a long time ago, not only that but' she paused finding it hard to speak when all she wanted to do was hurt something. 'I would not be in the situation I am in right now. I would not be the coward I've been all my life' she stomped towards the creature fury burning in her eyes. 'I would not have spent half of all my life running like a little sheep from the big bad wolf' she clenched her fest, her eyes swelling with tears. 'If I was a demon I would have had the power to fight for my life, to live as I pleased.' tears slowly slid down Kagomes cheeks, 'but I'm not a demon, I'm just a weak, pathetic human with no powers to her name.'
'But you do have powers, you are an Animelia the strongest creature to have ever walked this earth' Kagome stared with unbelieving eyes 'I'm sorry a what?'
'Animelia, a combination of a pure breed taiyoukai and a fairy. We have both demonic and magical energy housed in one body' the creature answered shifting against the vines that gripped tightly around its body.
'If that is true than how come I've never heard of this Animelia before?' she replied with doubt,
'Because only one Animelia can exist at a time more than one would throw the universe of balance, Animelia are rare and powerful, so their kept secret from the world and only a select few have knowledge of their existent.'
Kagome stared still finding it hard and to unreal to digest. 'Where were you all of my life and why are you speaking to me now?'
'I've been here, sealed in your subconscious' it glared at the vines that held it from moving
'Naraku sealed me away to leave you weak and defend less' the creature growled eyes taking on a reddish hue. 'He feared we'd be too strong for him to handle, so he hired a dark miko to curse me. I have been deep asleep since then'
'If that is true then how come you are awake now?' she asked skeptically
'Because our mate has appeared' it purred the intense redness dimming down a bit 'mates blood woke me up, but I'm still trapped' it strangled against the vines 'only mate can set me free'
Kagome stared silently not sure if she believed a single word she that heard. As if she could be a demon, she snorted lightly finding that idea to wishful
She did not have any powers she was a weak human with no courage what's so ever
'You're not weak, were not weak' it hissed finding that idea insulting for both of them
'my life says differently' she whispered, 'all the times I've spent running from that disturbing man, all the times I've gotten my ass handed to me'
'But you did not have power then, you did not have me then' it assured
'Now that I'm awake its different, you will be different' it growled
'If you accept me, I will fix our life'
'How?' she softly asked
She desperately wanted all this to be true, she wanted power to change her fate, but most of all she was sick and tired of being a coward.
'I'll unlock your full potential and give you the confidence to get what you want, what you need' it promised
'And what would that be? What do I want or need?' she knew the answer to that question but she wanted to hear it said out loud
'Sesshomaru' it answered knowingly 'because without him there is no us'
She bit into her bottom lip and contemplated what creature was asking
'just except me, let us become one again like we once were before the curse' Kagome stared into the creatures silver orbs, scared to believe only to find out it was a lie set up for her, it would not be the first time that is for sure. She murmured under her breath and began to pace back and forth
To believe or not to believe? That was the question she needed to answer.
'what do you have to lose Kagome' the creature persuaded 'if this were a trap, I know you'd find a way to escape like you have always done?' she stopped her pacing to gaze into its shimmering orbs 'but what if I'm telling the truth? Imagine all that you could gain' Kagome sigh silently deeply in thought
'If you truly want to make the right choice, then listen with your heart?'
She closed her eyes and felt with her heart her mind settling down to allow her feelings to consume her. Want, need, hunger, her heart felt that and so much more. She slowly opened her bright blue eyes and smiled brilliantly. For the first time in her life, she felt at peace with herself. There was no shame or anger over her failings. Just peace and quietness, she smiled and moved towards the awe inspiring creature than enveloped her arms around its body.
'I accept you.' she whispered surrendering her mind to the dark aura coating her own. Instantly her body began to pulse and gleam brightly. She wrenched her arms away a silent scream leaving her lips. She crunched down onto her hand and knees as her body shook with painful contractions. She felt something ripping into her body trying to break her soul in two.
'Do not fight me Kagome, let me back in' she heard it hiss out
She tried to calm her mind and body so that she was not so tense, but the pain was too great to allow her body to relax. Her body pulsed again sending electricity racing through her system. She felt her mind split in two and her shivering body throbbed with power. A smirk slowly appeared on her lips as her eyes took on an eerie glow. With one last pulse, the light faded along with the contractions the pain slowly disappearing.
Kagome slowly staggered to her feet her hair slightly longer than usual and her height a few inches taller. She felt so free, peering down at her hands she could not help the silly smile that bloomed on her lips before she broke into cheerful laugh.
'I feel so different, so unrestricted' she whirled around tossing her arms above her head 'is this what it is like to have confidence?'
'We are one now my strength is crossing through your veins' her beast whispered
Her beast, she had a beast now she had a partner that made her feel strong someone to share her pain. She was whole at last her soul was at peace.
'I am still not free we have no power yet' it reminded ' mate must set us free, he is the only one who can break our curse' Kagome smiled happily 'yes Sesshomaru will fix us'
A loud boom sounded from not too far, shaking the forest floor and sending wild birds flying off.
"Oh for the love of god" she hissed stomping towards the still bickering brothers 'mate is angry?'
"Our mate is being childish" she growled as Inuyashas body came flying towards her, she jump back and away to avoid being hit. Sesshomaru appeared still red eyed and enraged, he did not even look at her as he walked towards his injured brother.
"Sesshomaru" she shouted stepping between the two
"I'm going to need you to stop this silly game and leave Inuyasha alone" the beast snarled and bared its fangs clearly disliking the interruption.
"Yeah, yeah, yeah, grr to you too" walking towards him she grabbed his long flowing locks and used it to pull his face down to her waiting lips. The beast instantly forgot all about Inuyasha and eagerly deepened the kiss.
"Ok that is just nasty" Inuyasha gauged as he slowly wobbled to his feet
The couple ignored him and continued their tongue battle each trying to out win the other. Enveloping her small form, he pulled her body flush against his own.
"Seriously, cut it out you are making me sick" Inuyasha hissed in annoyance a blush slowly creeping up his neck.
Kagome sigh when she heard his whining voice and slowly pulled her lips away "you sure know how to kill a mood don't yea?" she asked while studying his battered appearance. His body supported many minor injuries, and his handsome face sustained a few bruises. Meanwhile, Sesshomaru looked untouched.
"Sure do, now try to keep your tongues and hands" he glared at Sesshomarus hand that was inching its way down to her ass "To yourself, please"
"My god what happened to you?" she asked
"Your mate happened that's what, do me a favor and keep him on his leash next time" he snapped
Sesshomaru hissed and made another go to attack him, but Kagome grabbed his arm and wrapped it around her body instead.
"Go home and clean up, I'll deal your brother from here"
"Fine but I'll be back later to speak with him" he rumbled
"So be expecting me" with that said he turned and walked of
Turning her attention back to Sesshomaru, she stepped out of his arms and glared
"I can't believe you hurt him like that for no reason, are you crazy?" she shouted, instead of answering her, he pulled her back into his arms and covered her lips with his. Capturing her bottom lip, he sank his sharp fangs into her soft flesh she moaned in pain and pulled away "ouch, what the hell?" she screamed slapping him in the chest.
He followed the small trail of blood as it dripped down her chin and towards her neck. "What the hell is up with you?" She asked, but he ignored her and once again pulled her back into his arms, then he dragged his tongue across her chain and followed the trail of blood down until he reached her long smooth neck.
"Would you stop for a minute and listen" she moaned as he sucked on the juncture over her pulse. 'I'd rather just eat you; you taste so good and am so hungry' his rough voice and naughty words sparked her insides causing her walls to contract. 'Oh you find that arousing don't yea?' her body spoke for itself sending hot fluids to coat her nether region.
Oh he what's to play does he? I'll make sure to give him something fun to play with she smirked. pulling her arm back she struck him in the belly causing the air to rush out of his mouth, once his arms loosed she stepped back and sent him flying with a hard kick. he hit the ground with a thud a groan escaping his lips. he slowly rose to his feet, his eyes hungry his body tingling. "You want me?" she asked rubbing her hands across her body. Starting from her neck she slide them down to her breast, where she caressed and squeezed, then down to her belly until she reached her thighs. his eyes followed her hands his growls turning to purrs. "come and get me if you can" she turned tail and dashed of. the beast stared after her retreating form, his lusful eyes glued to her firm bottom
'yeesss, just like a good bitch, run while yea still can' crouching down on all fours he raked his claws over the ground excitement rushing through his veins as he gave his pray a chance to get further away from him.
Kagome ran, feeling flushed with excitement desire surging deeply within her aching body with every step she took.
'Mate' her beast purred calling out to him
Kagome laughed still finding it hard to believe that she had a beast now. She was not weak anymore she would not run anymore she will stand and fight. Fight to be with her mate; because she was not a coward anymore, she had the strength and courage to stand on her own.
The sound of footsteps closing in on her drew her out of her thoughts she turned her head to find Sesshomaru right on her heels, letting out a startled screech she increased her speed.
'Give it up already' he whispered to her as he disappeared and then appeared before her. She stumbled to a stop then took off in a different direction. 'You know you can't escape from me' he appeared before her again and she scarcely avoided falling into his outstretched arms. 'Never' she growled as she continued to dodge his every move. 'I'll never give into you.' disappearing behind a large tree he masked his aura 'is that so?' she paused, when she lost sight of him. Glancing right when she heard a tree branch snap then left when she heard rustling leafs.
She took a step back only to bump into something hard and froze for a moment before slowly turning to find a tree blocking her retreat. She sigh in relieve and turn back to find Sesshomaru standing in front of her. She shrieked and jumped back her body flushed against the hard tree he closed in on her placing his arm on either side of her face. 'I got you' he purred softly nuzzling his nose into her smooth hair. She raised her arm to strike out against him, but he caught her wrist and held them both above her head. She then tried to kick him, but he shoved his right leg between her thighs to trap her tightly with his body.
'You smell so delicious' he whispered covering his lips with hers. His mouth was hard and hot and demanding, sweeping her into a storm of desire so that she shuddered beneath his kisses. This kiss was different from any other kiss they've shared before; this kiss devastated her senses and left her breathless. Her body melted against his body her legs feeling like butter.
Her mind went blank, and her belly tightened sending warm fluids to slide down her quivering thighs. He pulled back allowing air to rush into her starved lungs, and stared into her glazed eyes. She gasp for breath and tried to recover her sanity as his eyes slowly turned golden. She tried to contain her disappointed as the beast retreated because she was nowhere near done with him yet. That kiss turned her on like nothing else could and she needed him to finish what he had started. Sesshomaru glared at her for a moment his golden orbs cold and emotionless.
"Why do you look so disappointed?" he asked, leaning towards her face "did you think the fun was over?" he smirked as her eyes grow wide with confusion, he bent down to cover her lips with his own again. Coaxing her mouth to open for him, He slipped his tongue inside while running his free hand down her body to the juncture between her thighs. He brushed his knuckles against her core causing her to moan loudly against his lips
'Sesshomaru?' she tugged to free her hands but he made no move to free them. "Yes Kagome" he whispered gently next to her ear, 'growl for me' she whined rubbing her breast against his chest. He chuckled as he nibbled on her earlobe "Hn" he knew precisely what she wanted, she wanted to ruin the fun before it even began. 'Please, I need' she growled she lifted her right leg to wrap around his waist drawing him closer to her core
'What do you need?' he licked her cheek, then her other and then dragged his tongue across her lips, opening her lips she pulled his wet appendage inside her mouth and sucked gently biting down. He moaned his hips jerking up to grand against where she wanted him most the friction he caused almost sending her of the edge
"Get the fuck away from my woman, you mangy mutt!" a menacing growl cut between their haze causing them both to froze one the spot.
