"Ladies and...actually just ladies, this is your captain speaking. We'll be arriving at our destination shortly. Please return to your seats and buckle up," Xander announces to the group.

"Just keep your attention focused on the road, Xander," Buffy remarks with a far off look on her face.

"Don't worry, Buff. We'll find out what's wrong with your powers and have you back to full strength in no time."

"Let's just hope nothing's wrong with this Faith woman and that this 'powers fading from existence thing' is just limited to you and me," Lily says. "The last thing the world needs is for the Slayer line to vanish."

The hospital

"Howdy Kate." Kate turns her head to the door. Charles is leaning against the door frame.

"Gunn?"

Charles' lips form a sinister smile and he holds up a knife. "You've been a very bad girl."

"...what are you talking about?" Kate asks; throat feeling dry.

"You know exactly what I'm talking about," Charles answers. He enters Kate's room and lets the door slowly close behind him.

"I don't. If you'd care to enlighten me-"

"I'm not in the mood for you playing dumb!" He shouts stabbing the knife into Kate's bed.

Kate flinches as the knife grazes part of her leg. "I don't know why you turned on Ava, but by the time I'm through with you-"

Kate kicks Charles in the stomach and he crashes into a chair. She quickly, but carefully pulls out her I.V. wire and gets out of bed. Kate takes two steps and her legs give out sending her to the floor.

Charles stands up and walks over to Kate, but she kicks him in his legs, knocking him back down. Kate crawls over to the door and grabs the knob to pull herself up. She opens the door and stumbles out into a doctor.

"Please help, he's trying to kill me," she pleads.

"I know," the doctor says and his eyes turn black.

Kate knees him in his privates and then shoves him into her room. Kate staggers away from the room and staggers down the hall when several other demons cut her off at the end of it. Kate turns to flee in the other direction, but Charles grabs her by the hair and presses his knife into her neck.

"Now where do you think you're going?" He asks.

"Out of your hands," a voice suggests. Charles turns around, knife still pressed against Kate's neck, and sees Sam, Dean, Bobby, and Castiel standing there.

"This place is heavily guarded. How the Hell did you guys get up here without anyone noticing?" He asks, then notices Castiel. "Damn angels," he curses.

"You have something we want. Two things actually, so let Kate go and give us your piece of the incantation," Dean orders.

"Hmmm. Let me think about it...get'em boys!" Charles shouts and the demons all rush the hunters.

Castiel charges at top speed and leaps at the demons, colliding with some and knocking them down. Castiel stands up as a demon jumps on his back, but he pulls him off and tosses him into another demon getting up. He parries a demon's punch and ducks a demon from behind him, grabs the demon by his neck and throws him down the hall while stopping another demon's punch. Another demon manages to hit part of his face hard and Castiel responds in kind just as another kicks him in the spine.

"Shouldn't we help him?" Sam asks.

"It looks like he has the situation under control," Bobby says as Castiel tosses a demon straight over their heads and he lands at Charles' feet. He looks down at the demon and Kate elbows him in stomach making him falter on his grip.

She slips out of it, but Charkes slashes at her, cutting part of her cheek. Kate falls to the floor and Sam and Dean run at Charles. Sam kicks his knife away, but Charles punches him in the neck and blocks Dean's next punch and kicks him in the chest knocking him down next to Kate.

"Hi Kate."

"Hi Dean-look out!" She warns as Charles comes at them.

Sam grabs Charles and throws him at the wall. He runs forward and pins Charles' knife hand to the wall and slams the hand against the wall twice. Charles drops the knife, but he tackles Sam to the floor. Dean drags him off Sam and the brothers pin him to the floor.

"Kate, search him."

"For what?"

"A torn piece of paper," Sam says, but Charles manages to get up and punch Dean and kick Sam.

He bends down for his knife, but Kate jumps onto his back and links her arms around his neck. He backpedals into the wall, ramming Kate into it. She cries out and loses her hold on Charles falling to the floor.

At the other end of the hall, a demon kicks Castiel in the back of his leg and his falls to one knee. The demon grabs the back of his head and another punches Castiel in his mouth. The demon then grabs Castiel's face and begins to recite something in latin. Castiel's eyes turn blue and something begins to smoke out of his mouth.

"Now you get to know what it feels like to be excoricised-ah!" The demon cries at as Bobby splashes it with Holy water.

He tosses more Holy water at the demons forcing them back and away from Castiel. The staircase door opens up and a few more demons rush out. Bobby shoots two with rock salt, but the third tackles him. Bobby drops his gun and makes a grab for it, but the demon kicks it away. He pins Bobby down and rains a flurry of punches on Bobby's face, but Castiel shoves him off and tosses Bobby back his gun.

"Duck!" Bobby warns and fires as Castiel does so, hitting a demon behind him.

Charles head butts Sam and punches Dean in his shoulder. Dean dodges Charles' next punch, grabs his wrist, and puts him into an arm lock.

"Sam, now!" Dean calls out to him. Sam runs to Charles and starts searching his jacket pockets.

"Get off me!" Charles shouts. He jumps up and kicks Sam in the stomach then breaks out of Dean's hold. Charles searches his jacket, but then spots Sam holding the last incantation piece.

"No," he says. Dean grabs his shoulder and turns him around.

"Yes," he says and punches Charles hard in the nose. He hits the wall and sinks to the floor.

"Cas, let's get out of here!" Dean sprints over to Kate and picks her up while Castiel forces the rest of the demons away from him and runs over to Sam, Dean, and Kate with Bobby. He touches them and they vanish from the hospital.

They reappear in a parking lot several blocks away from the hospital.

"Cas, you were on fire in there," Dean compliments then gets a good look at Cas' bloodied body, which makes him shudder some.

"I'll be fine. I have enough energy left to at least heal," Castiel assures Dean.

The group all piles into the Impala and Sam removes the other two incantation pieces from the glove compartment. He puts the pieces together and there is a flash of light. The light disappears showing the incantation to be whole. Sam hands it over to Castiel.

"Can you read it now?" Dean asks. Castiel looks over the incantation again and shakes his head. "How can you not? Your angel mojo can't all be gone can it?"

"I'm already cut off from Heaven and getting from Pylea and back used a lot of my energy up."

"Care to explain you fighting off those demons like it was no problem?"

"Adrenaline I guess."

"Angels have adrenaline?" Kate asks.

"Not now, Kate," Bobby says. "Any ideas about who else can translate this thing?"

"My friends at Angel Investigations. They might know," Kate mentions.

"Angel Investigations...why does that name sound familiar," Dean thinks out loud. "Wait. Buffy. She told me to go to them whenever we found the Scythe."

"You've spoken to Buffy?"

"We met in the future. Long story, but she appeared to me before we left for L.A. and she seemed to be a spirit, but the people at Wolfram and Hart said she's alive."

"She is or at least I hope she still is. There's a lot you need to know Dean. I'll fill you in on the way there."

"Rise and shine, Wesley," Future Lindsey announces entering Wesley's holding area. Wesley wakes up, but swiftly puts a defiant look on his face.

"I was beginning to wonder if you'd ever come back. I fell asleep, as you just saw, trying to figure out how to pass the time in my head since you left."

"Joke all you want Wesley, but now it's time to talk and if you won't give the information up willingly then my friend will coerce it out of you," he says pointing to a newcomer.

"A mind reader? Really. That's the best you could come up with?" Wesley scoffs. "Sure it will get the job done, but this is so...clean for a person such as yourself. I was looking forward to whatever sick torture I believed you had in store for me."

"Believe me, you don't want this mind reader inside your head. He'll get what he wants, but his power shreds every thought that gets in his way until he locates the information. If you don't try to resist then at best you'll be a drooling mess on the floor. If you do, well you don't want to know."

"I've always been one to welcome a challenge," Wesley defiantly states.

"Fine. Have it your way." Future Lindsey snaps his hands and the mind reader approaches Wesley.

He puts his hands on Wesley's face when screaming can be heard from outside the door. Someone then crashes into the door and a sickening crunch can be heard followed by a few more. Future Lindsey backs away from the door as someone rips it off its hinges and tosses it aside.

"Lindsey McDonald. I've been looking for you," the arrival says.

Lindsey has a dumbfounded look on his face at the individual. "Doesn't anybody ever stay dead?"
