READ and REVIEW
A/N: Line of stars = Change of point of view.
Ginny turned and walked away slowly. What was that about? She thought to herself. Shrugging it off, another thought came to her. The same thought from earlier when Hermione had grabbed her wrist. Humm, I'll have to think some more on that one.
Rounding the corner and into the field she suddenly stopped, backed up a few paces, then forward again, turning around she took half a step, That's it! That's the feeling. Magic! She could feel the magic of the disillusionment charm when she passed through it, and that was the feeling she got when Hermione had grabbed her. But that's not possible! She thought. No! She had met witches she didn't know before, but you could always tell they were magical, you could feel their auror.
Ginny didn't understand, she been within close proximity to Hermione a few times and didn't feel it, and come to think of it Hermione had touched her before that and since then, but that was the only time she had felt magic! I wonder if I could look it up, I'm sure it will be in one of the old school books, she thought. She took on a run to get home faster, desperate to find some answers.
Ginny burst through the door, "I'm home." She shouted to her mother about to head upstairs.
Her mother blocked her way. "Where have you been? You've been gone all day, you missed lunch!" She scolded.
"I had lunch out." rushed Ginny.
"Well where?" her mother repeated.
"I was with Hermione."
"Who?"
"You know the one who found my pad," Ginny replied, practically hopping from foot to foot.
"Oh," replied molly, changing her tone now, "did you have a good day?"
"Yeh sure." Ginny said squeezing by her mother and rushing upstairs.
"Dinner won't be long," her mother shouted after her, all earlier anger dispelled. She was happy she wasn't on her own, she didn't seem to socialize much and it worried her mother sometimes.
Ginny was rummaging through her old books with not much success, skimming through various ones but having no luck she sat back against her bed a bit deflated, just as she started to get lost in her own thoughts again her mother's voice rang through "dinners ready!"
Ginny pulled herself up off the floor and headed down to dinner.
"An owl arrived for you earlier," said Molly.
Ginny's head snapped up. She never got owls!
"Where is it?" She asked, her curiosity rising.
"Over on the mantel," her mother replied, "finish your dinner first please," she added seeing Ginny about to get up.
Ginny shoveled down her food and excused herself from the table, she headed straight over to the see who had wrote her. It wasn't just a letter but a parcel! She picked it up, it was quite heavy. Wondering if she should open it in front of her mother, she decided to go up to her room. Pulling the letter attached to the front off, she read the contents.
Dearest Ginny (hay pip)
I hope you've had some luck in figuring out what you want to do with your life, I'm sure it feels quite daunting thinking about immersing yourself in the muggle world, especially being so wizard!
I could partially feel you glaring daggers at me through your door the other night and I'm sure you would have taken any advice I had offered, but I felt you needed to see things on your own for a little while first, things that come out of the blue like this can knock you for six, especially when that thing is potentially life altering.
Therefore, here is my brotherly advice.
Do not live with regrets! You only live once so get what you want out of life and live!
I hope you know you can always talk to me about anything, anytime, I'm only an owl away.
I attached a parcel for you, I hope it will be helpful and ease your mind at times knowing you have some backup
All my love
Your no1 brother (I had better be)
Bill
Ginny sat there holding the letter. She loved bill so much. He was always good to her, the best. He let her have her first fly on a broom, always made the twins stop when they were teasing her He used to lift her up in to the trees when she was little and the boys were all climbing but she couldn't reach. Took the time to read bedtime stories to her, always making them come alive (literally). She was so glad her brother still cared even though they were adults now.
Ginny realized she still had not opened the parcel yet. Ripping it open, she found a big fat heavy book! The title on the front read Concise Oxford Thesaurus. Opening the cover a not fell out.
I picked this up in a muggle bookstore. I asked the lady for a reference book with explanations of what common words used in the English language meant. She gave me this book. I sincerely hope it is helpful xx
Ginny flicked through the pages, wow! The first word she looked up was Concise: Giving a lot of information clearly and in a few words, brief but comprehensive. The next word was Wi-Fi: A system of accessing the internet from remote machines such as laptop computers and other devices that have wireless connections. Well, that one just gave her more questions and words to look up! Skimming through the book some more she decided this could be handy, so much so she put a shrinking and weightlessness charm on it and put it in her bag, yes she thought this could come in very handy!

Hermione lent on the door behind her, her face in her hands. What was the matter with her? She had made a perfectly fine moment awkward! This was half the problem, she got so desperate for friends, when a potential one came along she got all weird and scared them off! But this was more than a potential friend, she was a potential college about to be scared off by Hermione's weirdness, Ahhhhh she almost shouted aloud. Chucking her keys in the dish, she stomped over to the sofa and slumped down closing her eyes.
She'd had a fantastic day, the best in ages! Ginny was easy to talk to, even though she didn't talk much back, probably because she can't get a word in edgeways, Hermione thought to herself. She's so easygoing and relaxed, happy and always smiling, her smile was infectious! Hermione liked spending time with her, a lot.
Perhaps I won't take her back to the fox and hound though, she thought. God Bex is a nightmare! Hermione could feel herself getting angry. How dare she try to take advantage of Ginny like that! Suddenly another thought popped in her head, Ginny's reaction to when she pulled her off the road. I'm sure she felt it that time mused Hermione, she gave me a proper doddgy look.
Hermione got up and grabbed a glass and the wine, she needed a drink, sitting down again, she ordered a take out and put some mundane television on. Do not stress about things out of your control she told herself, just take it as it comes! Hermione finished her bottle of wine and dinner and fell asleep on the sofa with the TV on.
Oooh …. Oooh…. Are you enjoying it?
