I DO NOT OWN GHOST HUNT
Chapter 10
Monk's POV
Mai huffed on the couch.
"You okay Mai?" I sat right next to her patting her head.
"I'm fine just feeling weird." She squinted her eyes as if she was trying to figure out what it was.
"Have you had any dreams?" She tilted her head.
"Nope. Nothings come to mind." She smiled.
Mai's POV
I had to lie. WHY DID I LIE AGAIN?! Oh yeah, how do you tell someone "Hey, I had a dream of this guy cheating on his wife? Also, did I mention they were about to have some private time? No? OH OKAY.". It's just too weird.
"Miss Taniyama, tea." Oliver glared at me.
"Of course Dr. Davis" I got up from the ever so comfy couch.
'He still hasn't told us why we were here but I knew my dream was connected. When we got here a man had greeted us and basically got on his knees and thanked us even though we really did nothing yet.' I smiled at the thought.
The hallways were like your average hotel but felt warmer, it smelled of pine and maybe some cinnamon? The best part of it was we wouldn't be in the way of the customers. We had our own little section, 5 rooms, a kitchen, and our own little hot spring!
' I definitely am gonna enjoy that soon!' I grinned. I stopped midway and looked around. 'Do I even know where the kitchen is?' I sighed.
"I got myself lost...again. Of course, I did. Way to go Mai" I grumbled to myself. I winced I felt a pounding headache moving towards the surface. My vision started to blur, I felt myself get warm. Falling to my knees I felt a cold hand touch my cheek. Before I welcomed the darkness I heard a whisper.
'Welcome back my darling'
Oliver's POV
"That idiot girl has been gone 15 minutes," I grumbled my mask clearly crumbling due to lack of tea.
"You think she got lost again?" Yasu questioned, getting a snort in response.
"Of course she did. My little Mai is just a little trouble maker." Monk grinned.
"Someone find Miss Taniyama and tell her, her pay will be deducted again." I hissed. "And while you are at it set up the rest of the cameras." I glared at all the screens that showed nothing but snow.
"Yes, your highness," Gene muttered. "also I would refrain from calling an idiot girl if you ever want her to at least look at you I would be super nice." I turned and continue with my glare.
"Last time I check Eugene I didn't ask for any advice from you." I saw Gene's face contort.
"This. This is the reason she doesn't want to speak to you. You are just a complete jerk and all you do is take all this bottled up rage which by the way I don't even know where it's from but you take this and take it out on everyone." I scoffed and didn't answer back and just turned around and kept whatever anger I had down. "I'll be back Oliver" I would've flinched if I weren't angry enough. I heard it the door close and let out the breath I was holding.
"Well, he isn't wrong Naru. You have been a little-how do I say? Touchy?" Ayako put a finger on her cheek and tilted her head.
I glared once more.
Gene's POV
"Okay Mai you couldn't have gone far," I whispered to myself. "Plus to be very fair Oliver needs you he's been very grumpy without your love." I groaned at the thought. I looked around the halls, the little section they had given us had been very confusing. It's not like they had directions to give us the workers were too busy and on top of that, it's not like Oliver would've given us the tour. "Maiiiiiiii where are you?"
Leave my Reika alone.
"Who's there?" I looked around.
She's mine.
"Are you talking about Mai?" I questioned.
Leave my Reika alone!
'Oliver I think the spirit may have taken an interest to Mai. He keeps calling her Reika. It has to be connected to the case'
"Who is Reika?" I asked the spirit.
She's the love of my life.
A/N: I know I'm late with updating and I know it is really short but I'll make it up to you guys next chapter. I promise!
