A/n I have decided that I am going to do a few more chapters before the road trip. A couple of people have been asking me to do something you don't expect so I have a few things planned for future chapters. I have also decided to change Josh to the same age as Maya. They are both still one year older the Lucas, Riley and Farkle though.

Chapter 10:

A new week had begun at John Quincy Adams High school and the talk in the halls was of the school dance they just had. People were still talking about how much fun it was getting dressed up dancing having dates. There wasn't a day that passed that people didn't talk about it. Maya riley Lucas and Farkle decided to play a game they usually did it was called remember when. In this game you just say remember when and then something you remember from a certain time. This time it was the dance.

''remember when Farkle skulled 5 glasses of water'' Maya said

''Remember when we used up all the chocolate from the chocolate fountain'' Lucas said

''remember when I fell over dancing'' Riley said

''remember when Lucas dropped him phone into his drink'' Farkle said

''Remember when Riley and Maya looked better then missy'' Lucas said

''Remember when Farkle kissed Maya on the cheek'' Riley said

''Remember when Lucas and Riley danced together'' Maya said

''Remember when Maya just called me Lucas'' Lucas said

''Remember when we had the father daughter dance'' Riley said

''Remember when the music disk broke'' Farkle said

''Remember when we went on with remember when's to long'' Lucas said

''I remember'' Maya said

''They were some good times'' Riley said

'' the dances are so fun'' Lucas said

''When your with your friends'' Farkle added

The bell then rang for the students to move off to their first lesson.

''Ugh why is Math's so long and art so short'' Maya grumbled

''Because they want to punish you'' Riley said

''I don't see how her second home is detention'' Lucas said

''Thanks Ranger rick'' Maya said

''People people are we here to learn or not'' Farkle said

''please guys I come here to learn' 'Maya said before bursting out laughing with all her friends

''don't worry we got home group first' 'Riley said.

''they just make you hold out on the boredom'' Maya said

Maya actually liked home group what she didn't like about it was she wasn't put in the same one and riley Farkle and Lucas instead she was put into out of everyone Missy Bradford's however on Thursdays when Einstein academy joined with John Quincy Adams for the debate team they would get split up into the Home groups and Smakle was in Mayas so it was a little better. And her home group teacher Mr Matthews which wasn't so bad.

''ok everyone take your seats'' Mr. Matthews said

''shall I take the roll'' Smakle asked

''thankyou Smakle'' Mr Matthews said

Home group was the same as usually kids doing some work others talking and Missy Bradford was flirting with all the boys.

''Miss Hart you late again'' Mr Matthews said

''its ok you wrote me a note'' Maya said handing the note to Mr Matthews

''Maya is late deal with it'' Mr Matthews read out

''See easy'' Maya said

''You get my signature right this time'' Mr Matthews said

''It was easy you write like a girl'' Maya said

''Miss Hart please find your seat you have detention after school'' Mr. Matthews said

''oh look at the ugly monster over there'' Missy said

''Missy please we have been through this I am not a mirror'' Maya replied

''you think your all cool and all don't you'' Missy said

''I loth you'' Maya replied

''grow up'' Missy said

'' bite me'' Maya said

''Enough Girls Missy over there Maya over their'' Mr Matthews said as he separated the two girls.

''with pleasure'' missy said

''Please the pleasure is all mine'' Maya replied

''let me get to the school notice's'' Mr Matthews said

''the school cafeteria doesn't want you leaving your dirty mess when you leave please put it away, The girls cheerleading team is open for tryouts again so come along, The lacrosse team is having practice today at lunch so please stay off the field and Mrs. Kennedys Math's class will be in from 16a today, and last one lesson 4 will be cut today because we have a special assembly on today in the Hall. That's it.'' Mr Matthews said

The bell went for students to move off to their next lessons and everyone in the home group started packing up their books ready to leave.

''ok everybody have a great day Miss Hart can you please stay behind'' Mr Matthews said

Everyone had left the room and it was now just Maya and Mr. Matthews left there.

''Yes'' Maya said

''Maya How many detentions have you got this since the start of this term'' Mr Matthews asked

'' Three?'' Maya asked

''twenty seven'' Mr Matthews replied

''Sort of close'' Maya said

''Maya this isn't funny you have to start taking responsibility for the things that you do and know that you can't get away with everything you do. I have known you since you were a little girl and I know you haven't had the easiest life but there are some things that you can do to change your future'' Mr Matthews said

Maya just stared at him knowing that he was right

'' I have seen you in art you get straight A's if you put in some effort you could do that on all your subjects even simple things like Homework. Sometimes you just take things to far'' Mr Matthews said

''I have nobody at homes that helps me with my homework'' Maya said as she got up and walked out of class.

Mr Matthews just stood up knowing that Maya was right and he felt instantly guilty for what he had said.

Maya's first class was Math she walked in late as usual and found her seat next to Riley Farkle and Lucas.

''Maya you late'' Mrs. Kennedy said

''sorry it will probably happen again'' Maya replied

''yeah yeah just show me your homework'' Mrs. Kennedy asked

''I can't'' Maya said

''Maya did you do the homework I set'' Mrs. Kennedy asked

''That depends did you mark the test I did?'' Maya asked

''Maya I have other students test to mark'' Mrs. Kennedy said

''And I have other teachers Homework to do so I guess were even'' Maya said

''Its ok Mrs. Kennedy she did it'' Riley said Handing up some homework she did for Maya the night before.

''You did my Homework didn't you'' Maya asked

''Yes I did and I really enjoyed it'' Riley confessed

''You don't have to save me riley'' Maya said

''I know but I want to'' Riley said

'' Riley just let me be me'' Maya asked

Maths had finished and it was time for the surprise assembly that the school had held. Maya saw Lucas and riley and went to join them.

''Hey'' Maya said

''Howdy'' Lucas replied

''you seen riley?'' Farkle asked

''Yeah she stopped off at her locker she'll be here in a bit.'' Maya said

''So do you have any idea what this assembly is for?'' Lucas asked

''no but usually the assemblies are just notices like clean up the yard and stuff'' Farkle said

''But janitor Harley does such a good job'' Maya said

''Remember when me and Lucas had to do janitorial services'' Farkle said

''Remember when Maya tried to fix the Mash potatoes'' Lucas said

''Remember when Lucas cleaned up vomit'' Maya said

''Remember when we made a sculpture out of our food'' Farkle said

''Remember when you didn't include me in remember when'' Riley said as she sat down

''I remember'' Lucas said

''took your time'' Maya said

''Sorry anyway what's this assembly for'' Riley asked

''Your guess is as good as ours'' Farkle said

''Can I please have you attention up here'' the principle said

''well I bet some of you are wondering what this assembly is for am I right. Well I'll let you know why. The rest of the staff and myself have realised that our school had been around for 100 years and we would like to celebrate that. So we are doing something that we have never done before. We have a guest speaker from John Adams high all the way in Philadelphia and One of my close friends Mr George Fenny'' The principle said

The whole school clapped and welcomed Mr Fenny to the stage.

''Thankyou everyone and let me start by just saying how happy I am to be on this stage here today. I have some encouragement for you which I hope will help you in your school life. Believe in yourselves. Dream. Try. Do well. For those of you who don't know I have taught a few of your teachers when they were in my school many years ago. An example of this is Mr Matthews if you asked him what he wanted to be before his answer was always a player for the Philadelphia Philly's but now look at him he's a history teacher. Thankyou'' Mr Fenny said

Again the whole school clapped as Mr Fenny left the stage.

''Thankyou Mr Fenny for those encouraging words and now for a surprise you didn't expect. Mr Fenny and I have been talking and we have decided that because it is John Quincy Adams 100th year of being a school. We have decided that we are going to have some of John Adams and John Quincy Adams Join schools so some of their students will be coming here and some of our students will be going there'' Said the principle

Everyone in the school started to cheer and clap and were getting all excited about this.

''so in order for this to work I would like you to treat our guest with respect they will all be arriving tomorrow and please expect that you will be having some of the Other schools students in your classes. So please be nice and welcoming.'' The principle said before leaving the stage.

''Hey Maya you know who might be here right?'' Farkle whispered

''Who?'' Maya asked

''Josh'' Farkle replied

Maya just sat there half happy and half nervous

''What happens if they split us up?'' Lucas asked

''you gonna miss us cowboy?'' Maya teased

''Maybe mam'' Lucas said tipping an imaginary hat

''I will break you'' Maya said

''if that's what you wish to do then be my guest'' Lucas said

''I Wonder if josh will come I'm so excited'' Riley said

''One day at a time'' Maya said

Maya was ok with Josh coming she just wasn't sure how she would feel if he was in all her classes.
