Being as the base had been destroyed, the Avengers and their children had been moved to Stark Towers. The majority of S.H.I.E.L.D agents had been moved to the helicarrier. And, with some reorganizing, the many families were able to fit inside the house comfortably.
Chase and Jhonny shared a room just a few floors below the top level. Their room was just barely big enough for them to fit in, considering all the extra things that had been shoved in there. Aside from 2 twin-sized beds, there was a large tv mounted on the wall with a shelf full of a variety of video games and one console For them to share. Already, clothes and dirty wrappers were strewn across the floor. Jhonny was pitching a fit.
"Chase, come on! Your so gross." Jhonny complained as he picked up a plate with a stale, half eaten sandwich on it.
"What? It's just food." Chase stared intently at his handheld game screen.
"Yes. Old food that could start growing mold at any minute!" He continued, dropping said food into the garbage. "Would it kill you to clean up a little?"
"Yes, actually, it would."
Jhonny scowled and crossed his arms, taking another look around the dirty room. He stomped over to Chase and snatched the game out of his hands. He tosses it away, onto the bed.
"What the hell?!" Chase sits up to go get his handheld.
Jhonny quickly stops him, forming a barrier between him and the game with his body. "Clean this room, and I'll give it back."
"No, I want it back NOW." Chase growled.
"Well too bad!"
"Hey, I'm the older one. That means, you do what I say. And I say, give me my game back!"
"Not until you clean this room!"
Chase and Jhonny hold a stare off against each other. Chase fuming silently, while Jhonny stood his ground in the center of the dirty room.
Chase lunges forward in attempt to grab the game, but Jhonny had the advantage if being small. He slipped right under Chase and grabbed the game, retreating across the room quickly. Chase yells out in annoyance and begins to chase Jhonny around the room, yelling abusive words and insults.
"Give it back!"
"Clean the room!"
Just across from them in a slightly larger room were the girls: Jaime, Crystal and Ashley.
The room was probably the largest in the house, holding 4 beds. One in each corner of the room. The walls were painted a bright green. Crystal had made a point of covering up the 'ugly color' with as many pictures and posters as she could get ahold of.
Ashley sulking around the room. She didn't like the idea of having to share a room with anyone, let alone a bunch of Midgardian children. She preferred her room back home in Asgard, where she had a grand area all to herself.
She looked around the room once more. This could hardly count as grand.
She sighed and plopped on her bed. She stared up at the ceiling, listening to Crystal fret about the walls. She closed her eyes and tried to look forward to when she'd leave this stupid planet.
Jaime didn't care much for the color, or the fact that she had to share a room. She was pretty happy with herself. She had a soft bed, new friends and a plate full of cookies with a side of milk.
She managed to block out Crystal's complaining and focus on her book.
"Would you shut up about the walls already?" Ashley snapped.
"No, I cannot. You may be an unstylized god, but I will not stand for the color of these walls!" Crystal retorted angrily.
"They're just walls!"
"It looks like someone threw up on them!"
Jaime checked the time and stood up, her timing perfectly matching Steve's as he walks down the hall announcing dinner.
The children, Steve, Tony and Thor all sat around the living room. They watched TV as they ate, chatting and having fun. The walls were temporarily forgotten, and so was the need to keep the room clean. It was just nice, 'family' fun.
"...Where's Zeena?"
Theres a shocked silence at the sudden appearance of Loki. The adults share uneasy gazes while the children fall into whispers.
"Brother! I didn't think you'd show!" Thor grinned, clapping his brother on the back. "Come, take a seat. There's plenty of food still left."
"I'll eat in a minute." Loki scanned the room once more. "Where is Zeena?"
Ashley set her food down and opened her mouth to speak. Thor silences her with a look and she goes back to staring at the TV.
"She's uh... On time out." Tony announces.
"I'll go get her. Where's she in time out at?" Loki turns and begins to walk away.
"She's in the dungeon!" Ashley calls out.
"...What."
"Don't be mad, brother. She couldn't be controlled, so, We put her down in Banner's cage so she could think about what she's done."
"No, don't brother me. How dare you put her in there like some kind of animal." Loki snaps. "Go get her out."
"We can't have her destroying this place too." Steve tries to negotiate.
"Now!"
Zeena glared at the plexiglass wall separating her from everyone else. She tries again to send an illusion out, but wasn't able to get it more than a few steps before it dissapeared. She growled in annoyance and turned away.
She paces around the round prison, very unpleased with her current situation. She whirls around as someone comes inside. She presses up against the glass and watches Jaime curiously.
"What're you doing down here?" Zeena grunted. "Are you here to make fun of me too?"
"No..." Jaime murmured, speaking into the microphone so only Zeena could hear her.
"Then what."
"I...I brought you some dinner." She announced.
Jaime opened one of the slots and slid a plate stacked with pizza slices, then a cookie wrapped in a napkin. Zeena watched, wary of this being some kind of trick. When nothing happened, she knelt by the food eagerly. She hadn't eaten all day.
"Good night, Zeena." Jaime said in her soft voice.
Zeena gave her a small wave/salute good bye. "Good night? I guess..."
