Emotional Confrontations
It was weird to think that just hours ago, I was fighting with a robot but not just any robot; A former mobian turned Mecha. A mobian that used to be a loyal friend and Freedom Fighter.
I actually felt bad for fighting with her but when I thought of her frightful glare with her cold blue gems eyes they'd send an chill down my spine. I was actually glad she was gone because the battle between us was intense and for a moment; my life flashed before my eyes where I was in the body of my young child self. I saw through my eyes of frightful images of my foster parents screaming at each other and the mother torturing me everyday, every time I'd upset her. When Mecha Sally was beating me, her aggressive nature mirrored the mother of the family and the image of the mother locks with her.
I just hope that she wasn't too damaged from our fight even if she'd almost killed me. Sally may be made of metal right now and loyal to that fat egg but she's still Sally Acorn on the inside.

I was walking out of the hospital with Sonic, Tails and Amy. Hours ago I was fighting with Sonic and Amy destroying about 13 robots with my new found incredible strength and I may have demonstrated my chaos energy by throwing a few chaos spears. Due to Team Freedom retaliation Eggman and his robots flee. Meanwhile Axel and Jax managed to evaded the robots and kept out of sight. As for Nicky she was still at the hospital where the doctors put bandages on her burnt arm.
I was having a conversation with team Fighters, (That's what they're called now) the actual characters of my favourite Sonic games and I had to admit I was surprise that I didn't try to hug Sonic in a tight iron grip hug or even squeal when we were talking like longtime friends.
"So you have amnesia?" Amy asked when she casually put her hammer in the other hand, holding it like a regular shopping bag.
I lied through my gritted teeth, "Yes I have amnesia." Thankfully they didn't notice because they were too concentrated on the topic.
"That must really suck to not be able to remember anything. For if it was me, I wouldn't bare the thought of losing my memories of my friends or even Sonic!" Amy proclaimed passionately her arm hanging around Sonic's arm.
Sonic made an embarrass face while me and Tails just smirked at his reaction.
"Where do you live Jade?" Tails asked politly.
"I'm at the moment living with friends."
"I'd thought you said didn't remember anything."
"I did but some kind people took me in and that's how I got a place to stay."
"Are you sure you can trust them? I mean not to scare you but I'd heard some stories on the street...About the wrong kind of people." Amy said with concern in her eyes.
I'd stammered, "Yeah I know but...I believe I can trust them and beside one of them had a little brother. That doesn't sound like a psychopath to me" I said with my eyebrow raised in a humorous motion. Amy just shrugged and started talking to Sonic about their next plan of action.
"So Sonic what are we going to do now?"
"Now?" Sonic briefly pause and then he said " For now we have to protect New Mobotropolis until we find any information leading to Sally whereabouts when she's more vulnerable. So that when the time is right we can strike and save her!"
Tails and Amy have baffled look on their faces. " What?"
" Sonic I'm surprise that you are actually willing to be patient, are you sure you're okay?" Tails said with surprise. Amy remarked "Yeah aren't you suppose to be the fastest thing alive? You know Sonic the hedgehog who's too fast to wait for any one?"
Sonic retorted "Hey I can be patient! I just think for now we should help as much as we can here and think things through that what Sally would say. Anyway you're the one to talk Amy! You couldn't wait to be a freedom fighter so you transformed into a older version of you by wishing on the ring of acorn."
"Hey!" Amy shouted "First of all I was only 8 when that happened so I've got an excuse for acting immature. You on the other hand," Amy pointed a finger to Sonic, "Are still impatient today! In fact you're still your fun,loving immature self." Amy and Sonic both have poker faces on and their eyes looked deep into each other. But at that moment their play fighting was over as they laughed at each other and patted each other on the back.
"Ha ha ha yeah I guess I'm still immature and inpatient today even at my age!"
"Ha ha ha ha True that!"
Me and Tails joined them in their laughter erasing the anxiety of Sally and what the future can hold.
...
"What were you thinking?! Jade do you know what could happen if you were caught?! They would had turned you into a mindless slave and took away your freedom!"
Axel was yelling at me in the hospital where we were exposed in public with people starring at us; talk about embarrassing. Yeah so after walking and talking with team Fighters, I'd escorted myself to where Nicky was. I'd happened to found Axel and Jax but instead of warm hugs with absolute relief, waiting for me Axel started to snap at me.
"That was so stupid and so dangerous and-"
"It was also brave and heroic and you're welcome for me saving everyone lives!" I cut in like a loud bark.
"Yes you did save people but you'd put yourself in danger and you even got Nicky involved. Now look where she is now!" Axel gestured to the the hallway of the hospital with his hand not taking his eyes off me.
A horrible feeling made its way in my stomach and in my throat suffocating it. I felt like he spat poison at me. I gazed down and rubbed the floor with the sole of my foot. "I never intended for her to get involved...She just came because she saw I was in trouble and everything just lead to one thing to another."
Axel stared at me briefly then he relaxed his muscles and took a breath, " I'm sorry I should of known that Nicky involvement wasn't your fault...She like that you know always being selfless putting others before her...But you're right what you did may have been stupid but it was also brave."
Axel smiled and put a hand on my shoulder which made me turned my head. Despite the storm clouds in his eyes and his eyebrows raised moments ago he was back to his happy self. The storm clouds drifted away in his eyes and he had a lovely smile.
I was distracted by his smile that I didn't notice that we were so close enough to kiss...I blushed a little and gave him a thin smile. I had swiftly backed away without him noticing when he pulled back. "Let's just go and get Nicky."
He walked towards where Nicky was and I was about to go too when..." You thought he was going to kiss you wasn't you?" A scream almost came out of my mouth when I glanced at young blue fox. Jax! I forgotten that he was here! A huge blush sprayed my face bright red to expose my embarrassment over Jax's question.
"You're beef red." He casually said to me. I retorted " I'm not! You gave me a fright from staying quiet.".
"Really? " He said in mock while holding his chin. " I was here with Axel so why so surprise? Your heart must have been beating bells when you thought my brother was going to kiss you so that's probably why you did not hear me."
"NO! You're just really quiet and mysterious."
"Mysterious you say?" Jax asked looking innocent when he curiously inquired " Why am I mysterious? When you, yourself are a big question mark."
I tensed up when he said that feeling paranoia prickling all over my fur and my tail stopped moving trapped in his words. "What's that suppose to mean? If anything you are the one acting strange with you threatening me with a pencil."
Jax grinned, "Yes I'd suppose that my behaviour was strange for someone my age but it was for a good reason."
"And the reason is?"
"To protect my brother Axel from any harm."
I raised my eyebrows at this because why would he feel Axel need protecting? More importantly why did he see me as a threat? I don't have a big mustache or an egg shape body who laughs evilly to be considered a dangerous threat. I don't even have cybernetic to suggest I'm from the Dark Egg Legion. I asked in confusion "How am I any harm to Axel?"
Axel called after us and Jax just walked after him but he stopped in midway. "Because you lied."
Then he was off.

Nicky was not that damaged from Mecha Sally, her cuts to her neck were only minor because they were not that deep. If they were she would be...We were in her room where Dr Quack told us she can leave as long as she did not feel serve pain or any feeling of nausea. Axel lectured Nicky for not staying out of sight from Eggman's robots but with less shouting and more understanding than when he lectured me.
"Jade? You're blacking out again."
"I'm not blacking out Nicky. I'm just thinking about stuff."
"Hey don't blame yourself because of what Axel said to you. If it's anyone fault it is mine for being reckless."
I blinked and I quickly ranted "No I wasn't thinking- I'm fine really, really,really fine! I'm sorry for making you and Axel feel guilty, I'd never intended for this! I was just- I was just-I was just thinking how tasty the sandwiches are here especially the chicken and mayonnaise..."
An awkwardness indulged the room like a swift wind.
Nicky suppressed a laugh, "Well that totally was not awkward at all. So you really like sandwiches huh, Jade?"
"Yes..." I said it in the back of my throat.
"Ha ha ha ha! Well why don't you marry it!"
Axel, Nicky and Jax all cried out in laughter slapping the bed and walls causing a nurse to come in and scowled "Stop that some of the patients are trying to sleep! I swear no respect at all!"
At her command the laughter died down with a few snickers from Jax and Nicky.
"Uh Nicky was right I should have not overreacted and snap at you, Jade. Please forgive me I tend to let my worries out of hand sometimes so am I forgiven?" Axel said looking straight at me with his light blue eyes.
"No problem Axel I would probably had acted the same like you." I said with a smile.
"We should probably get going now."
I rushed to the door and opened it hoping this will be the last trip to the hospital "Yeah I can't wait to go home and-" SMACK! The door hit something or someone very hard and a groan escaped from it.
"Oh my gosh! I'm terribly sorry I didn't mean to-"
"YOU!" A bellowing noise came from a chipmunk who if looks could kill would as her glare definitely shot me multiple times and stab me multiple times but deep in my flesh and bones. I was met with icy blue eyes when I began to speak. " Oh you're-"
"Heather and don't forget it you stupid ****!"
I just opened my mouth and then close like a fish while Axel quickly covered Jax ears from Heather's fowl mouth. "I told you to get away from me or else and look where we are again. You got a lot of nerve blondy. Now...GET THE F*** AWAY FROM ME OR I WILL-"
"Or you'll what!" I shot back with confidence as there's no way I'm backing away from this fight after she called me the P-word. "I will make your life a living hell! She spat.
"Really? That's all you got Heather I faced more rotten threats than that."
"Said the girl who's a complete dodo who doesn't even remember her family or her friends if she had any!"
Nicky tighten her fists and took two steps toward Heather but Axel hold her back.
"If I'm a dodo as you have claimed then I wouldn't be talking to you would I?" I said with bitterness.
"That's the best you got blondy? Honestly there is no hope for you, you can't even come up with a witty comeback. A five year old could do a better job than you, you stupid Bi-"
"Enough with the swears already there are children." I gestured to Jax who looked uncomfortable.
"And at least I have enough decency to not swear or shout in a hospital!Which by the way can not cure you of your rotten heart or your manners". I hissed at her spitting a bit.
Heather was appalled by my words, one minute she was plain mean the next she turned into this horrendous tornado as her face darkened by the looming shadows of the hallway. She gave me the meanest glare and she harshly whacked my hand away like I was some badly behave dog "DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT! You have no idea-You have no idea who you're DEALING WITH! You're dead f****** B****!"
Heather hands clenched and unclenched like she was going to sheath out claws like a cat in a firey furry to land the first strike. Then she glanced at the passerbyer who looked genuinely disturb judging by their baffled expression. Heather then growled and sharply turned like we were just a sound she left but not before spitting out a few drops of acid words that burned.
A needle drop could be heard after Heather had left, passerbyers quickly went away avoiding eye contact like we were going launch a cannon at them. Nicky casually asked "So Jade want to try some sandwiches before we leave?"

Butterflies of relief swept into my body the moment I'd landed on bed. I didn't care if it was still light out, I wanted to sleep sloth style after what I had been through. Today wasn't so bad I got to battle some robots and meet Sonic and his friends. I nearly got beaten, lectured by Axel and a chipmunk was currently out for my blood (it wasn't Mecha Sally)! But the nagging though of my chaos powers sprung to my mind; Where did that Chaos Emerald come from and why did it gave me chaos powers? Did this link to the reason why Team Destructix tried to capture me?
I closed my eyes tighter due to the frustration.I tried to find answers based on what happened to me so far but there were still some puzzle pieces missing. I knew that Dr Finitevus was planning to capture me because he would no doubt try experiments on me to find out the source of my powers. I shuddered at the thought ,my legs shaking under the cover and my breathing increased. I knew what he did to Knuckles's "great" grandfathers and about the enerjak incident with Knuckles.
I was never good with operation situations heck I would probably faint in a coma if I was told I had to have a operation. The image of Dr Finitevus poking around in my body, touching and messing with my organs, taking them out and-
Suddenly I sat up straight so fast I nearly snapped my back that was still recovering. My pulse quickened like a bird was clawing against my veins and arteries. I took long breaths from the deep submerge of that terrifying pulse slowed down and I'd stopped breathing, I knew this wasn't the time to panic especially in the world of Sonic!
And I certainly didn't need to cram my head of these mysteries or of the suspicions of Axel's younger brother!
Out of the blue I'd remembered that Amy said that there was going to be a presentation of the new defence team; Team Freedom. That was going to happen in a few days she said, maybe I should try and meet them after all what the worst that could happen?
