"That's definitely Middle Earth," said The Doctor.

"Oh God. I can't believe I ended up in the same place as my earliest child hood hero," Jim said as he trotted along a winding path towards the small village. At one point James was traveling with a another, but this other pulled a red shirt and fell off the cliff almost as soon as he woke up. The road was approximately 5.5 miles long but Jim had only traversed 5 of those miles. He would shortly be meeting a man that would change his life.

"Could'a been worse. You could've crashed in an ocean and drowned," said The Doctor

"Oh wow that's really encouraging, Doctor," replied Jim.

"At least I tried."

Kirk continued down the path until he reached a stone bridge where, just across, was a village of short, fat, pleasant creatures called Hobbits. Because he wasn't dressed or verbally attired appropriately for the era, he decided to lay low, which was hard because he was at least 2 foot taller than the tallest residence of the town.

As soon as he crossed over the bridge all he saw were beady little eyes. He made his way towards what looked like a marketplace. He began to ask a melon farmer where he could get some clothes when a curly-haired, eager looking Hobbit asked him "Where are you from, then?"

"Uh, well, far far away."

"I imagine you'd need some clothes. Looking like that I'd think you were a force of evil or something," stated the Hobbit.

Jim flinched after the Hobbit said that and then replied, "Yeah, I do."

The Hobbit gestured for James to follow him and so he did.

The two arrived at a quaint Hobbit hole no more than 5 minutes from the market. They stepped inside and, like any tall person, Kirk hit his head on the door.

"What'd your name be?" Asked the Hobbit.

"James Tyberius Kirk."

"That's a strange name, stranger."

"I'm not from these parts. And what's your name?"

"Landabon Took," he said as he dug some robes out of a chest. "I used to work for a man and when he passed I was the only person he really knew, so he gave me all his belongings." Landabon pointed toward a door that Jim then walked to and opened, where he changed into the robes. He later found the Hobbit in the kitchen cooking a fish.

"Sit," said Landabon. James sat at the tiny table as Landabon set the fish down. Landabon took half, Jim took the other half. "Are you from the future?" Landabon said as he took a bite of fish.
"No. I'm from another world. Though our society would seem futuristic to you. I crashed here in my ship, a flying ship. All my crew are dead. I'm marooned here."

A seemingly unbreakable silence crept through the room as they ate their fish. Neither of the two knew what to think.
