Here's the last chapter of this fic, and I'm happy for that, after all now I can finish some other short fics, and can focus on the longer ones. Hope you all enjoy this last chapter. :)

Chapter 9

Final Battle and Renewal

As Shanti was threatening the girls, the Furious Five were soon arriving at their destination. Crane had flown ahead to see where Shanti had taken the girls, while the others were following as fast as they could on the ground. Po and Shifu were following as well, just at a slower pace, due to the dragon warrior's injuries.

As the warriors of the Jade Palace made their way to the mountain summit, Shanti had just finished sharpening her blade. She smirked as she looked down at the gold and red dragon twins. Opening the net slightly, she grabbed the gold one, Amunet, and was ready to take the blade to her throat.

Then it happened, Crane swooped down from the sky and blindsided the white tiger. Releasing her hold on the dragon, but sadly it didn't loosen her hold on the scimitar. The purple eyed tigress glared at the bird and was going to go after him, when she was blindsided once more only this time from behind by something small and powerful.

"You little bug, you'll be dead, same with your friends once I get through with you." Shanti growled, before turning her attention around her, looking out for the other members of the Furious Five. Crane was in the air overhead, watching the white tigress for any sudden moves that she would make towards the girls or the others.

Amunet growled, before turning towards her sister and loosened the net as much as she could, to allow her ruby sister out. "We have to help." Amaranta said, getting a shake of the head from her sister.

"Uncle Po needs us, and we aren't masters, they are." Amunet reasoned, while glancing to her side and saw Tigress fighting against Shanti, with Monkey and Viper helping her. Mantis was nowhere to be seen, and Crane was still in the skies watching over them.

"We have to, Amunet, these animals are our family now, not just Uncle Po; we have to help them." Amaranta insisted to her sister.

The golden twin was worried, but she listened to her ruby sister. Getting into an old dragon fighting stance, she and her sister were both ready to go against the dangerous white tigress.

Po and Shifu arrived just in time to watch as the girls ran towards Shanti in an unfamiliar fighting style. They were both low to the ground, as to not attract attention to themselves, while Tigress had just taken a heavy blow from Shanti's scimitar. She was still standing, but she'd soon pass out from blood loss.

Mantis was trying to pull her away and join the fight, but he was stopped by Viper, who attempted to lash out at the white tigress, who merely dodged and was about to slash at serpent. When Amaranta lashed out at her legs with her claws, she broke skin, and causes a small amount of bleeding to occur.

Jumping back quickly to get away, Amunet ran in and struck with her tail, before trying to get away, but she wasn't as successful as her sister.

The dragoness shrieked, in terror. "I've got you know dragon."

Everyone was about to move towards the golden dragon, when Shanti shoved her scimitar against the girl's heart. "One more step, and she dies, back away, and she might just make it."

Everyone eased away, everyone but Amaranta; she wasn't going anywhere until her sister was safely on the ground. "Put my sister down," the ruby scaled dragon growled, while keeping an eye on her trembling sister.

Shanti smirked, "If you insist." Using the hand with her scimitar, she plunged the blade into the heart of the golden scaled dragon. Shock was prominent on her face, so was pain and fear. There was a beat of silence, until the screams of "NO!" went through the air.

Shanti smirked, "That's another dragon dead, one more and all the dragons will cease to exist." A golden glow was now surrounding her; she grinned, and whispered something that no one heard. There was a rumbling coming from the ground beneath them. A large purple spotted arm sprouted from the ground.

The warriors were frozen, as a familiar face sprouted from the ground, fully alive, his golden eyes filled with anger and hatred. Looking at the warriors around him, he glared at all of them, all but his mate, his Shanti. "You've brought me back my mate," Tai Lung said with a purr.

Shanti grinned and threw the carcass of the dead dragon away, "But of course, once I knew that there were two dragons left, I thought it was best to bring back my mate, and then kill the one that took you away from me."

Both felines purred, while Amaranta mourned, and the others prepared for battle. Crawling towards her sister's body she nudged it with her face. "Net, Nettie, please wake up, please, please don't leave me."

As the crimson dragon nudged her sister's body and tried to get her to awaken. While the masters and felines were fighting, well almost, Tigress was being treated for her injuries by Mantis. Everyone was fighting, trying to defeat, even kill the others. "Please get up, please come back, I don't wanna lose you. Please don't leave me Nettie."

Amaranta was starting to glow crimson, but no one was noticing. The glow was similar but different to the glow that had been surrounding Shanti when she killed her sister. The first was cold and unfeeling; this one was warm and filled with hope. "Please come back," Amaranta kept whispering, and the glow kept growing larger and larger, until the point where it was finally noticed by the others.

"What's going on?" Shifu whispered. Everyone was shocked and scared, well almost everyone, Po was calm. He literally could feel the hope radiating off his niece, filling him with a sort of peace, as though Amunet wasn't gone yet.

"Please come back," the ruby dragon whispered one last time. Suddenly the eyes of her sister opened, revealing the ruby eyes, countered only by her sister's golden eyes. "You came back."

Amunet smiled at her sister, "I'd never leave you."

Both sisters smiled, soon both glowed with a light similar to their scales. Shanti and Tai Lung were both backing away from them, while the others were soon as calm as Po. All of them trusted the girls to handle whatever type of power was within them.

As the white tigress and snow leopard backed away in fear, the raw power coming from within the two dragons felt dangerous and somehow stable. This was the power of the Dragons, this is their chi amplified to a different level. It was what gave those who defeated them a single wish, for the chi was so powerful it could literally be used to do anything.

Shanti and Tai Lung both soon got over their fear and attempted to strike the two dragons, but were blown back by the force of the chi. Both snarled and tried again, only this time, they were met with a hard smack of both girls' tails.

Both glowing with the power of their chi, the dragons faced their enemies, "Shanti and Tai Lung, for crimes against the dragon race and the allies of our kind, you will be punished." Both dragons stated, their voices sounding as if over a thousand animals were speaking at once.

Both felines snarled, unafraid of the dragons. "We're not going down without a fight," Shanti stated.

Both dragons growled, "So be it."

Po, Shifu, and the Furious Five were all watching the soon unfolding battle in amazement. The girls were fighting against Shanti and Tai Lung as if they'd been Kung-Fu masters all their lives. Every move and breath seemed to be done as if in a dance. While Shanti and her mate attempted to defend themselves, the girls countered easily.

It was something truly amazing, as if the old legends were true, that once one see's a dragon battle. There is nothing else that the experience can compare to. And it was, seeing the girls battle, made every Kung-Fu fight seem to pale in comparison, no matter how big or small they were.

However as beautiful as it all was, the battle was soon over, Tai Lung and Shanti were both on their knees. Pain evident upon their faces, while the girls were calm and there wasn't even a mark on them. "It's time for you to face the consequences of your actions."

A light soon erupted from within both dragons, causing everyone to lose their sight for just the briefest of moments. When it went away, both Shanti and Tai Lung were dead, how would forever remain a mystery. But the reason why would always be known, they attempted to end the existence of dragon kind, and kill the dragon warrior.

Several months since the deaths of Shanti and Tai Lung, the girls have grown more powerful, and also have learned how to fly. They've even grown in size as well, they were becoming too big to stay at the Jade Palace, but that wasn't much of a problem. After all they needed to leave and find their own ways in the world, but they'd never be homeless.

"Is there nothing we can do to convince you to stay?" Master Shifu asked; both girls were floating before everyone, sad smiles on their faces.

"We're sorry Master Shifu, but we must find our places in the world. We'll come back someday, with more dragons, and more family." Amunet told the red panda.

"And don't forget, you'll always have a home here and in the Valley of the Dragons." Crane told them.

"He's right, we'll always be here, and so will our children." Tigress added, with Viper and Mantis nodding as well. Monkey smiling at the girls, and added into their bags a few dozes batches of his almond cookies.

"Thank you, we'll never forget this, and we'll ensure that our children won't forget as well." Amaranta told them. Her sister nodding, before both turned to face their Uncle.

He was sad about the girls leaving, but he knew that they'd have to eventually. Looking up, his emerald eyes filled with tears, "I'm proud of both of you, and I know that you'll be fine out there. Just don't forget to write, and don't forget to come home now and then alright."

Both dragons smiled and nodded, before moving forward and hugging their beloved Uncle. "We'll come back someday, we promise."

The girls soon nodded at each other and gently waved goodbye to their family, before taking off into the sky. The shouts of goodbyes could be heard coming from the ground. It wouldn't be forever, after all one day they'd come back, and when that happens, they just knew there'd be more dragons for them to train and also to watch over when the time was right. This wasn't the end; it was simply the beginning of something new.
