Alright I will not lie when I say this chapter took a bit more time to write than the others did. I spent one – two days figuring out how to word one sentence half way through the chapter, re-wrote it like seven times before getting back on a roll with it. Anyway hope you guys enjoy : )

Ember looked at everyone all at once "Not to be rude but what about what happened with the corruption?" asked Ember wondering if we had all forgotten the main reason for being there.

Flame looked at Ember as if she had missed something "What do you mean what happened?" Flame asked not getting Embers question "Haze defeated it, the corruption" answered Flame.

I as well as everyone else now looked at Ember, though I felt that she was implying something a bit more "I know that but it came from Malefor, doesn't that mean something?" Ember questioned once more to everyone.

Cynder looked at Spyro nervously "Spyro you don't think that?..."

Spyro just stared at the ground "No I don't think that he has returned, but I think we should play it safe and just take a look around where we last fought him" Spyro replied.

Terrador now looked out the window to his right "Spyro, you and Cynder will go tomorrow to where the dark master now rests" I found my heart skip a beat as Terrador turned in my direction "Haze I am also sending you as well, being affected by the dark masters powers I feel that you should be permitted to go as well" Terrador explained.

After taking a moment to think about it I gave an answer "It's not like I got anything better to do" I answered calmly without hesitation.

Terrador only continued to look at me for a brief second, his expression not even phased, he turned back towards the window. I felt myself now being drawn to the window as well though reason being because I found that the sun was starting to set.

"I recommend that you all get rest early tonight" Terrador said facing us once more "Only time will tell what's in store for you tomorrow so you will need as much strength as you can get" Terrador stated before walking past everyone heading out of the room.

Following Terrador I watched as Archer, Flame, Ember and Krystal left. Before leaving the room Krystal turning around giving me a smile before exiting, with that I started to feel warm.

I turned to Spyro and Cynder seeing how they stayed, they also had their focus on me. Looking into Spyro's eyes I could tell he wanted to talk to me privately. Spyro turned to Cynder nodding; Cynder closed her eyes smiling a bit before walking out of the room. I could only guess that Spyro wanted to talk to me alone and signaled Cynder to leave.

Again Spyro put his focus back on me "Although it isn't my place to question, are you sure you want to come with us tomorrow?" asked Spyro wanting to confirm my answer.

I stared at the ground wanting to choose my next few words carefully, I wasn't exactly the best when it came to wording things or convincing others "Yeah I'm sure, besides you even said that he probably hasn't returned" I replied answering Spyros question.

Spyro only sighed before walking to the doorway "Just wanted you to know that just because I said he probably hasn't returned doesn't make it fact" Spyro explained to me before leaving.

After Spyro left I continued to stare at the empty door way for a moment, I knew what Spyro was getting at and it was as Terrador said too. We don't know what we will find tomorrow and that probably is what has Spyro questioning my decision.

"I'm not naïve Spyro, I'm just not afraid…" I said only to start to question myself on the last part.

I felt doubt starting to surface; I shook my head "Don't question yourself." I told myself seriously now starting to feel a little bit of fear. Lifting my head up I started to imagine how others would take it if I didn't come back after tomorrow's trip.

I shook my head again eyes now closed, this time in frustration "Don't think about that." I told myself as I reopened my eyes.

I started looking around the room trying to find something that could distract me, after having nothing gain my attention I left the room "Congratulations Spyro, you've succeeded in making me nervous of tomorrow's outcome" I said in a low angered tone.

Walking down the stairs I found Terrador looking out his office window, I ignored him and continued down the stairs.

"Haze, I'm surprised that your still here is everything ok?"Terrador asked as he turned around surprised to find me still here.

Not wanting to look at him I walked down the hallway of his office "Everything's fine, was just thinking about how people should keep their opinions to themselves sometimes" I replied to him before quickly exiting his office.

After closing the door I leaned against it and sighed "Well this feeling sucks..." I said annoyed as I began to head toward the middle of the temple grounds.

Stepping foot outside I noticed how the fountain in the middle casted a long shadow, I looked up to see the sun about to touch the mountains in the distance "In my world it would probably be 6pm" I said trying to estimate the time of day in this world.

I continued forwards towards the big cafeteria, because of Spyros comment I know felt like I needed to do something. As I approached the cafeteria I veered left heading to the doors that would take me to the part of the building which had rooms in it.

I held out my paw to open the door "Hey Haze" I turned around to find Cynder approach me.

I withdrew my paw "Oh, hey Cynder, what's up?" I asked her.

Cynder looked towards the building she slept in "Nothing really" putting her focus back on me "I was heading back to my room after practicing some combat skills and just wanted to recommend that you should also probably retire soon as well" Cynder explained.

"Speaking of sleep, you can have back your bed tonight" I said in response.

Cynder smiled "Terrador finally got you your own room?"Cynder asked giggling a bit.

I chuckled a bit in response "Actually no I, well, it's complicated" I told her as I put my paw on top of my head scratching it.

Cynder just looked at me confused "Well ok then" Cynder said as she began to walk away "Just make sure you get a good night's rest" Cynder called out before heading to the building with her room.

After seeing Cynder enter the building I turned focus back to the building that was right behind where I was standing, I entered.

Stepping inside I found the door to the lunch room to my right and a hall just before it, my focus was on the staircase that was positioned on the left. Going up the stairs, I continued to walk down another hallway, as I did I stared at the ground thinking about what Spyro had said about the dark master.

I stopped walking; as I did I looked up to find Krystal's room just a few doors away from where I was currently standing. As I made my way towards the door I felt myself starting to get nervous. Now standing outside the room I felt my body freeze up, lifting a paw I went to knock on the door but then stopped leaving an inch of air between my paw and the door.

I shifted my focus so that I was staring at the ground; I felt myself now confused and starting to hurt. Slowly, I withdrew my paw before looking back at the door / I guess I'm not able to/ I thought sadly as I began to slowly walk away.

I felt my heart start to burn as I started to walk past the next door "Haze? Are you ok?" I turned to Krystal stepping outside of an opened door, she had a curious look on her facing as well as a concerning one.

I felt myself immediately get happy "Uh...yeah!" I replied feeling nervous.

Krystal took a step closer to me "So what are you doing?"Krystal asked curiously.

As she asked that I felt myself immediately go red, I looked to the side "Well since I was going to leave tomorrow with Spyro and Cynder I was hoping that you and I could hang out for a bit…" I said shyly.

Looking forwards I found Krystal who was a bit shocked and also slightly red "Well, if you want we can go somewhere".

"That's the thing, we don't even have to go anywhere." I replied quickly only to find myself blushing even harder.

Krystal stood speechless as her face was now completely red /Did I really just say that with her standing outside her room?/ I thought now thinking what I had possibly implied.

I shook my head "No that's not what I meant I, ughh..." I groaned closing my eyes and lowering my head feeling stupid.

I did exactly what I was afraid of doing 1 minute ago, I said something stupid and now I was probably going to pay the price for it.

I slowly opened my eyes back up and looked at the ground too embarrassed to look up "Haze it's alright." I looked back up at her "I just remembered Terrador telling you that you probably should retire early anyway so us going out somewhere really may not be the best idea" said Krystal in an understanding tone.

"Alright so what do we want to do?" I questioned to the both of us.

In response Krystal shifted her gaze to the inside of her room before looking back at me "We'll just hang out in my room" Krystal answered as she indicated me to follow her while she walked into her room.

Doing as indicated I followed her into her room, once inside I found her putting away 2 red gems that were on the floor before going past me and closing the door.

As she closed the door I noticed that there was now a mirror that hanged from it, I couldn't help but stare at me right eye "You alright?"Krystal asked seeing that I was feeling uneasy.

I looked away from the mirror "Yeah just fine, so how've you been?" I asked trying to start up a conversation.

Krystal went and sat down on a nearby pillow "Fine, it's been interesting the past few days though, I'll say that much." said Krystal truthfully.

I turned to Krystal who looked at her pillow before looking up at me "And you?" she asked curiously.

I sighed with a bit of laughter "Words can't even describe what I've been through the past few days" I replied meaning every word of it.

Krystal tilted her head "And today must have been rough for you too" Krystal added with a hint of sorrow in her voice.

"It was but thanks to you it didn't end up as rough as it could have been" I told her.

Krystal looked down at her side upset "I had to do something" she said seriously as she put her focus back on me "I couldn't stand the idea of possibly losing you" Krystal said affectionately before getting up and walking over to me.

When she stopped her face was only inches from mine, looking into her eyes I saw that she had been afraid from earlier, then as if drawn to do so I looked up at the bedroom window, it was night time now.

"Guess I lost track of time." I said not really feeling concerned.

"Can only imagine that you're itching to get to bed so that you're ready for tomorrow." commented Krystal.

All of a sudden I felt uneasy "What's the matter?" Krystal asked seeing that something was up.

I turned to Krystal "Does the temple have guest rooms?" I asked, face begging for a yes.

Krystal shook her head "No, why?" she asked.

I lowered my head in disappointment / shit…/ I thought.

"What's wrong?" asked Krystal not understanding the meaning of my question.

I yawned "Nothing" I started to head towards the door "Have to find a place to sleep tonight" I replied answering her question.

Krystal was now completely lost "Wait, where have you been sleeping the past few nights?" Krystal asked really wanting information.

Turning back to her I answered her question "Cynder's room, she took the pillows on the floor so I could take the bed, I told her that I wasn't going to sleep there tonight since I thought the bed might be better for her to sleep in" I explained.

Krystal sighed "Come on Haze, back into my room" she said unable to believe what she was hearing.

Not wanting to start something I decided to just walk back into her room "I'm sorry." I told her honestly.

After closing the door again Krystal came to my front "Haze I'm not angry, surprised but not angry" she explained before motioning her head to the bed.

I looked at her in confusion "Get in the bed, you need rest for tomorrow." she nearly commanded.

Deciding not to argue I climbed into the right side of the bed, I felt my eyes start to get heavy but what I saw in front made them open up wide.

Krystal had gotten into the bed as well, though her back was towards me, I still felt embarrassed that she did this, while I won't admit it to anyone though I kind of liked the idea of it.

She turned over "Sleep well you'll need it" said Krystal as she gave me a warm smile before turning her head back over.

I then heard something go click and after that the lights in the room turned off, I closed my eyes letting darkness consume me.

XXX Time lapse, Morning XXX

My eyes cracked open, as they did by reflex I stretched my body while at the same time yawning. As I finished stretching I leaned up and looked out the window, there was light outside, it was dawn.

I then turned to Krystal who facing me but still asleep, I smiled at how cute she looked while sleeping / I need to tell her…/ I thought as I started to see her move.

Krystal opened her eyes and looked up at me "Morning." she said sweetly with a smile.

Smiling back I replied "Morning to you to."

Before getting out of bed I sighed as if telling the rest of my body to get up "Can only guess that Spyro and Cynder are already up" I said aloud looking at the door.

I heard as Krystal also got out of bed, once fully up she went over to the bedroom door and opened "Mind if I see you off?" she asked.

I closed my eyes and grinned "I don't mind" I answered.

After we had both had exited the room we went down stairs and out of the building to find Terrador, Spyro and Cynder waiting in the middle of the grounds "We've been waiting for you for the past 10 minutes, get sidetracked or something" Spyro commented obviously pointing out that Krystal was with me.

"Morning Spyro, Cynder, Terrador" Krystal greeted.

Terrador only nodded, "Morning Krystal" Cynder greeted back.

Spyro gave a puzzled look to Krystal "Not that I object to it but why are you out here?" asked Spyro.

Krystal shrugged "Just wanted to see you guys off" she explained.

With that Spyro put his focus back on Terrador "Now Spyro, Cynder, Haze be alert today, even if the dark master has not returned I still feel that that there is a force brewing, I wish you all a safe trip" said Terrador giving his speech.

Spyro nodded "Will do Terrador" said Spyro as he and Cynder started to walk only to stop when they saw me facing Krystal.

I felt myself starting to hesitate, "Haze?" Krystal asked not understanding why I was looking at her.

Taking a deep breath I decided to say what I was going to say before I chickened out, now deep red I went to Krystal "Krystal, since I don't know what's going to happen today I just wanted to tell you that the past few days I've really enjoyed hanging out with you and" I was cut off by Krystal putting her paw on my muzzle.

She smiled "Haze you don't have to tell me now, just tell me when you get back." said Krystal before taking her paw off my muzzle.

Still flush in the face I nodded in response before joining Spyro and Cynder as we headed for the dark master's resting place.

Alright umm I really hope I didn't make anything too predictable right at the end there but uh that was how I originally had it in my mind so yeah I just have to deal with it. Now if the writing style in this chapter seems different then it's because I'm trying to expand the vocabulary and not constantly use "I" all the time as well as other much repeated words (if you didn't notice anything please disregard this sentence). Also I'm planning to release one more chapter before 2014 so be sure to look out for it : )
