A Sound Soul chapter 9:
A "Sticky" Situation (part 1 of 2)
A/N: To whoever the hell still reads this, I apologize for the delay. BTW, if you're following my other story, The DWMA's Newest Students, that will be updated soon. So, without further adieu, let's get started!
Disclaimer: I don't own Soul Eater.
"Alright. I'm gonna take attendance." Yugure said, putting his feet up on his desk. He began reading everyone's name off of the list as usual. After that was over, he began teaching about the soul.
"As I'm sure you all know, there are multiple types of souls. The soul of a human, a kishin egg, and a witch's soul. If you don't know anything about souls by know, well, you sir, are totally screwed. But, it's my job to do this, so I gotta teach you it..."
Yugure continued on with the lesson until the bell rang.
"That's all for today! See ya later." Yugure said as he left the room to go home.
So Fusion and I left and went into the hallway. We walked up to the mission board to see if there were any good missions to go on when we saw the DA and some other person standing there, looking at the mission board.
"Hey." I said walking towards them.
"Oh! Didn't see you there Zack. Nice to see you again. Same goes for you, Fusion. This is my partner, Katherine. Oh, by the way, I chose a name. It's Ike." The DA, newly revealed to be Ike, said, smirking a small grin.
"Yeah nice to see ya too. Katherine was it? A pleasure." I said, shaking Katherine's hand, a grin similar to Ike's (gotta get used to calling him that) smile.
"Nice to meet you Katherine." Fusion said, shaking Katherine's hand. She let out a small whisper of
"Hi." and looked away. Fusion looked kinda confused.
"Did I say something wrong?" She asked. Ike chuckled.
"No, don't worry. She's just a bit shy." He said.
"So then, what were you guys looking at?" I asked.
"This mission. It looks pretty hard, but that's probably why it says that three teams are required to go on it." Ike said.
"In that case, we'll do it," A new voice said as it entered the conversation. Everyone looked to the direction it was coming from. Walking up to us was Dan and Sam. "after all, there's you guys which makes two teams and us which makes three teams. No need for you two to introduce yourselves, I overheard your conversation. I'm Dan, and this is my partner Samuel. Nice to meet you two."
"Good to see you guys again. But, I never said anything about me and Fusion going-" Sam cut me off and said "Well, you guys are going now, so deal with it. Come on! Let's get ready to go!" He yelled.
"Now hold on just a second, Sam! No one said we were going!" Fusion shouted, pulling up her sleeves and getting ready to smack the crap out of him, but I stopped her, smiled at Sam and said "Sounds like a deal. See ya later."
Unknown Island, Pacific Ocean
"WHAT DO YOU MEAN HE RAN AWAY!?" A witch said, glaring at her subordinate.
"P-please lady Octo, D-don't kill me! I-i told you, the boy whom you were experimenting on ran away in the dead of night! P-please spare me milady, I-it wasn't my fault!" He said cowering as his mistress picked him up by the collar. The witch revealed to be Octo threw him to the ground and spat on him.
"Well, than go find him, idiot! If the DWMA or any of it's separate branches were to discover this, than they could find us and obliterate us! Go find him RIGHT NOW!" she yelled, slapping him with one of her tentacles. The man ran out of the room and rang the alarm, summoning his fellow servants. They all hustled out of the floating, octopus shaped castle and began their search.
A/N: As the story progresses, a new threat is revealed, and danger fills the air... Just who is this witch, and who was she experimenting on? Why am I asking you these questions you don't know the answers to? If you're lucky, we'll find out next time... No, we won't because next chapter will be the non-cannon, Christmas special! So happy holidays to you all and may you all have a joyful season.
