Chapter 9

POV's Bella, Jasper, Edward

Bella's POV

I noticed Rose and Emmett sneaking upstairs and it made me smile. They were so cute together I hope it lasts. Edward and I were wrapped in each others arms swaying to the music. I looked up at him and smiled. How did I get so lucky to have someone like him? Edward saw me smiling and smiled back. I blushed and looked down at my feet. I felt Edwards hand brush my cheek making me blush even more.

"Bella, you are so beautiful," he whispers in my ear. I look back up at him to see Edward only a few inches from my face. I bit my lip as he leaned in closer, gently pressing his lips to mine. I feel him smile into the kiss and making me smile too. "Let's go outside." Edward says, unwrapping his arms from me and grabbing my hand. We walked down to the wooden dock and sat on the end. My feet dangled over the edge skimming the water below.

"Its so calm out here," I say looking out on the lake. Edward puts his arm around my shoulders and I rest my head on him. We sit there peacefully for what seems like forever when Edward points up at the sky. "Look a shooting star," he whispers in my ear, "make a wish." I closed my eyes and thought of a wish. "What did you wish for?" He asked.

"For this to be the perfect summer," I answered. "I'm positive it will be," Edward says and leans in to kiss me. The kiss was perfect and sweet. I never wanted it to end. All of a sudden I was flying off the dock. I screamed as I hit the water with a splash. I came up sputtering only to see Tanya, Kate, and Lauren standing at the end of the dock. Oh my god I'm gonna kill her.

Japer's POV

Alice and I had gone out in the backyard and were laying in a hammock looking up at the stars. "I've never seen the stars like this before, living in Seattle we don't see them like this." Alice whispers. "You live in Seattle?" I ask her. She nods and turns her head to look at me. "I live in Forks! Thats not too far away!" I exclaim. Alice squeals and kisses me. I kiss her back and pull her closer. She tangles her fingers in my hair pulling me even closer to her. I run my tongue across her lower lip which makes her giggle. I smile and pull away to look at her. Alice was the cutest girl I've ever seen. She looks back up at the sky and points.

"Look a shooting star!" She exclaims, "make a wish!" I close my eyes. "I wish for a perfect summer with an amazing girl," I say kissing Alice on the cheek. "Well I wish for there to be a shopping mall here." Alice giggles and I roll my eyes. "And an awesome summer with a great guy," she adds kissing me quickly on the lips. We stare up at the stars for a long time. I show her the different constellations and we kiss some more. Nothing could ruin this night. Then I hear a loud scream which I knew was my sister. I sit up quickly and look at Alice.

"Let's go check it out" she says and jumps out of the hammock grabbing my hand and pulling me through the house and to the front yard. I see a crowd gathering at the end of the dock. I can hear Edwards furious yelling but I can't see anything. We push through the crowd until we get to the front. "what the hell is going on?!" I yell.

"Bella are you okay ?" Alice asks, rushing over to help her out of the lake. She was shivering and looked extremely angry. "You bitch," Bella sputters, she steps forward like she's going to hit someone but Edward holds her back. That doesn't stop Alice, she marches right up to Tanya and slaps her right across the face. The crowd is silent. I can't help but grin. That's my girl.

Edwards POV

I can't believe this. I hold a soaking Bella against me so she doesn't hit any of those bitches. I don't want her to do something she will regret later. Alice doesn't care at all, she marches right up to Tanya and slaps her in the face. I hear the other girls gasp and Tanya looks furious. I look over at Jasper and see him smiling just a little bit. He glances at me and raises his eyebrows and shakes his head silently laughing at Alice. I shrug and look back at the action. Alice is yelling in Tanya's face using some very colourful words making me chuckle. Finally Jasper comes over and pulls her away but she still continues to scream at Tanya and Lauren and Kate. Bella is still shaking and I can tell she is freezing. Just then Emmett and Rose come rushing in.

"What the hell is going on here?" Rose yells looking around at us. "Tanya pushed Bella into the lake" I said through clenched teeth. Tanya glares at Bella and I before turing to Rose. "It doesn't concern you, slut," Tanya spit at Rosalie. "What did you call me?" Rose sputters. "A slut, because you are one," Tanya smirks and Lauren and Kate laugh. I could see Rose almost shaking from hate. Thats when she lunged at Tanya pushing her off the dock and into the lake. "Stay the hell away from us." Rose growls and stalks back to Emmett. Tanya screams some cuss words at all of us but Rosalie just gives her the finger.

"I think it's time to go home," I say pulling Bella along with me. "I'll get the boat" says Emmett dragging a furious Rose behind him. So much for a great night.
