Lily's Timeline of Pre-Meeting-Ash

Seven years ago: met Paul

Six years ago: started dating Paul

Four years ago: got into pageants, received bracelet from Paul

Two years ago: met Jacob, started to drift from Paul

One year ago: broke up with Paul

Present: Ash Era

Chapter ten: Lily

I ended the conference with Daisy, Iris, and N and put away my watch. I mounted Uniswan, and she flew down to where Paul was standing with the rest of the group waiting for the report.

"They're attacking as we speak. We need to do so as well in order to keep the element of surprise," I told them.

"Right. You ready, Mamoswine?" Dawn asked. When he nodded, she climbed onto his back. "First wave, let's go!" The Pokémon followed Dawn onto the field. I could hear Team Rocket members yelling as they were suddenly attacked.

"Go on, find Ash. I can lead the second wave," Paul told me. I nodded and urged Uniswan into the air. We flew higher than the flying types in order to avoid being attacked ourselves. I scanned the ground visually, but there was no sight of my boyfri….

"Charizard, use Flame Thrower!" I yelled as the attack blasted us away from the fight. Uniswan lay still ten feet from me, passed out from the surprise of the attack.

"Uniswan, no!" I climbed to my feet, but Charizard blocked my path as I tried to rush to her side. Ash landed in front of me as I took a few steps back.

"Where do you think you're going?"

"Ash, you gotta snap out of this! You can't side with Team Rocket! They're the bad guys!" I pled, backing away further.

"Oh, can't I? Charizard, use Dragon Tail!" I jumped back to avoid the attack. "Keep using it until you hit her!"

"Ash, please! Stop this!" I kept jumping away from Charizard.

"Why won't you fight me?"

"Because if I do, something bad could happen to the boy I love. Please, don't make me have to fight you." I pulled out a Pokéball. "I really don't want to."

"There's no way you can beat me even if you did fight me." I cried out in pain as the Dragon Tail actually hit me while I was distracted.

"You leave me no choice. Charizard, help me out!" My Charizard came out, roaring at the other.

"Tch, it's probably weak."

"Never underestimate the trainer that only uses rare Pokémon." I slowly stood and slid my Key Stone from underneath my shirt. "Go, Mega Evolution!" The stone around my and Charizard's necks glowed as he mega evolved. "Mega Charizard Y, use Dragon Tail!"

"Do…! What?!" Ash yelled as my Pokémon hit his before he could even finish the word.

"Mega Charizard Y's speed and strength are higher than other Charizards. Use Flame Thrower!"

"Dodge it!" The attack hit, rendering his Charizard unable to battle.

"Ash, please. You have to stop this."

"I never give up!" Ain't that the truth?

"I didn't say give up. I said stop." I walked closer to him and grabbed his hand that was reaching for a Pokéball. "Please. This isn't like you." His eyes began to soften.

"Oh, no you don't!" Ash cried out and fell to his knees as… something blasted him. I knelt down next to him. "Controlling the Twerp Leader is the biggest investment we've ever made! And we are not about to allow you to take him away from us!"

"Charizard, hit whatever machine that is blasting Ash with Flame Thrower!"

"Hurry, Meowth!"

I heard the machine blow up soon after. I helped Ash stand, but was surprised when he suddenly shoved me away from him. Charizard fell unconscious from a sudden blast.

"Ash, it's me! It's Lily!" I told him urgently as he glared at me.

"I know no one by that name," he growled darkly. I backed away as he approached me.

"That's right, Ashy-poo! Lily doesn't exist, which makes that girl your enemy!" laughed Raven.

"Pignite, I choose you!" The Pokémon appeared. "Use Flame Thrower!"

"Use Protect!"

I closed my eyes, but the heat never came. I looked up and saw a shield protecting me. Paul's Electivire. "Thank you, Electivire and Paul," I muttered as the mauve haired boy joined my side. "Where are they?"

"Pikachu!" Pikachu and Pikachuett landed in front of me, standing ready for battle.

"It seems like I'll have to shock some sense into you five! Pikachu and Pikachuett, use Thunderbolt on Team Rocket!"

"Pikachu!" They blasted off, screaming their catchphrase. Now to convert Ash back to his normal self.

"Ash, please. It's me." Electivire held back Pignite as I approached the trainer. "Please, Ash: it's me. You don't have to attack me: I'm on your side. I'm with you." I cupped his cheek in my hand and kissed his other right before falling from the pain and exhaustion.

"Lily!" I smiled weakly as Ash caught me; my world then went black.
