Pride held after school review sessions for his students whenever he was about to give a test. The students always did well with the sessions, but there was one problem with him actually having them…
Everyday, Pride was at the school by 7:30 in the morning. School let out at 3:30, and he started the review sessions at 3:45 to give the students who either moved slowly or needed to handle other obligations enough time to make it to his classroom. Needless to say, Pride's days as a teacher were full. Every review session started out the same.
"Hey Pride… Pride?"
Candice called to her history teacher. After hearing no response, she walked to his desk and saw him with his head down, fast asleep. She grinned.
"Pride." She said once again.
"Hm? Yes, what is it Candice?" he asked as he rubbed his eye.
"Well, you dozed off again. Do you get enough sleep at night?" she asked curiously.
"I get plenty of sleep. I didn't require as much before, but my powers were alchemically altered when I started probation. The same is for all of us." He said, going through the papers he accidentally went to sleep on top of. He closed his eyes and yawned, causing Candice to smile.
"Aaaw, you just need to have a little nap time since you're so small." She said.
"I'll have you know that I am well over 300 years old. I don't need naps." He said angrily.
"If you say so, but you were just asleep on your desk. It's okay. I'm sixteen and I still take naps."
"Now if only you didn't do so in my class." Pride replied bitterly.
"Hey, that's what review sessions are for. That, and I can catch you napping on the job." She said, still bearing a goofy smile.
"Get away from me and get ready for the review."
A/N: I don't write with Pride and Wrath enough. It's just so much easier to write for Greed and Envy though… Oh well, at least I'm trying.
Now I have to go disappear again for a while. I wish I could write some more for my other stories, but this is all I have enough time for right now…
