Chapter 10

"Why Emily..." Joey mutters.

"Emily..." Tanner says with doubt in his eyes.

"No no no no. I'm not the killer. C'mon. WHY WOULD I MURDER MY BEST FRIEND?! SHE'S THE ONLY PERSON I ACTUALLY LIKED IN THIS GOD DAMN PLACE" Emily screams.

"I don't want to believe it Emily but...all signs point to you" I say. "The bruise, the necklace, the knife. It all leads to you...Emily"

"NO. GIVE ME STONE COLD EVIDENCE THAT I KILLED ALEXA BECAUSE I DIDN'T. ALL THOSE THINGS WERE JUST COINCIDENCES. WHY WOULD I WANT TO KILL ALEXA?!" Emily continues to scream.

"If it were one thing then...maybe. But coincidences don't happen this often" TJ mutters.

"NO. NO. NO. I DIDN'T KILL ALEXA. I DIDN'T-" Emily gets cut off.

"Just...admit it Emily please. None of us can stand to sit here anymore wondering. Please. Just please end this. I don't want it to be you either but...I can't take much more of this" Dawson says with a sad expression.

"No...no. I didn't do it..." Emily begins to stop arguing.

"Let's make sure this is clear. Ben? Can you...please go through what happened just so we can prove to Emily that...she did it" Tanner hesitates to say.

I don't want this to happen. I didn't want to believe that any of my friends did this but it's obvious now. Emily killed Alexa. I don't know why but...she's done it.

"First...I'm not too sure how it started since I was so winded by my motivation but I'm guessing Emily and Alexa we're talking in Emily's room. Then later in the night when most of us we're asleep Emily went out of her room to get a drink or something of the sort, leaving Alexa in her room. Emily sees TJ hanging around in the lobby and spots his knife. She goes up to him striking up a conversation and in turn flirting with him acting like she's actually interested. While TJ is distracted she takes his knife with out him noticing. Right before she takes the knife Brett spots her and TJ "flirting" on the way to his late motivation. Afterwards Emily probably hides the knife somewhere in the lobby then goes back to her room where Alexa's been waiting. They stay there for a couple more hours talking and doing whatever until Alexa decides it's late and goes back to her room. Emily swiftly follows her and quickly grabs the knife. When going to his motivation Brett left his door wide open giving Emily a good chance to...kill Alexa. Alexa sees Brett's door open and goes in to see if everything's alright. Emily comes in too and quickly stabs Alexa in the back. To prevent Alexa from screaming Emily takes her locket and chokes her, leaving the mark we saw. After Alexa loses cautiousness Emily fills up Brett's bath and puts Alexa in there. Since Alexa's unconscious she ends up... drowning. Emily takes a chair in the bathroom and puts it against the door to make it seem like it's locked. She then uses the chair as a footstool to get into the vent above her. In a rush the chain of her locket falls out of the vent and into the bathroom with out her noticing. She then crawls through and finds another vent that lets out right at the end of the hallway. Since she's probably scared and shaking she falls trying to get out of the vent and injures her shoulder, therefore leaving the blood. Then she goes back to her room acting like she did absolutely nothing"

"...I..." Emily tries to speak. "I JUST WANTED TO SEE MY FAMILY" she breaks into tears. "I couldn't take it anymore. I had to see them no matter what it takes. Who knows what happened to them. This stupid bear could have done terrible things to them. SO I HAD TO GET BACK" Emily tries to hold back tears but can't help it.

"Emily..." Jarrett mutters.

"NO. BUT NOW YOU FOUND ME OUT AND I'M NEVER GONNA BE ABLE TO SEE MY FUCKING FAMILY AGAIN. Never..." she yells with tears flowing down her cheeks.

"But...why? Why would you kill Alexa? The one person that you actually liked here..." Dawson asks.

"BECAUSE SHE ACTED LIKE FAMILY DIDN'T MATTER. WE TALKED FOR HOURS ON HOURS AND ALL SHE TALKED ABOUT WAS HOW MUCH SHE HATED HER FUCKING FAMILY. I couldn't take it. I love my family more then anything in the world and the thought of not seeing them again is..." she pauses. "I can't stand it. I'd rather die then not be able to see my family again. My family got me through everything. All the tough times I had. All the friendships lost. All the bad days I had. My family was always there for me above all else. I couldn't take the amount of times Alexa cursed her family and said she wished they didn't exist. She just made the need for me to leave grow more and more" Emily falls onto her knees still crying.

We all sit in silence for a minute until someone breaks it.

"Haha...hahahahahahahahahaha. YOU KILLED SOMEONE JUST BECAUSE YOU WANTED TO SEE YOUR FAMILY?! DON'T MAKE ME LAUGH. I'm sure every day of my life is more tough then one year of yours. Don't feel special because you think your the only one who lives life in pain. And you killed someone just to get back to your parents who probably secretly hate you anyway? HAHAHAHAHA" Katie laughs.

Emily stops her crying and looks straight at Katie. She gets off of her stand and runs at her.

"I'LL FUCKING KILL YOU TOO. DON'T YOU DARE SAY THAT. MY FAMILY LOVES ME. MY FAMILY LOVES ME MORE THAN ANYTHING ELSE IN THE WORLD. YOU DON'T KNOW ANYTHING" Emily screams, lunging at Katie.

Dawson and Sydney hold Emily back.

"Please. Please don't fight. I can't take anymore" Dawson mumbles.

"Hahahahaha. It's funny to know that you'll never see your parents again. It makes me wanna laugh for days on days" Katie says with a smirk.

Emily lets out the largest scream I've ever heard. She then falls to the ground with Dawson and Sydney still holding her arms and bawls. She doesn't say anything. No one else says anything. We just sit there and listen to her bawl for who knows how long. It's like torture. No one wants to see their friend go through this. Why. Why did Katie have to do this. She made Emily cry and scream. I don't understand her. I don't think I ever will understand her twisted sense of humor and all the things she's done.

"Hey Bear. It's voting time isn't it?" Katie says.

"Oh! I was getting so involved in the story!" Judge Monokuma laughs. "Alright everyone! On your stand there is a place to vote! Please vote for who you think the killer is! If majority rules and the killer is right then the killer will then face divine punishment! Upupupupupupupu!" he laughs.

We leave Emily sitting there because we don't know what else to do. We all reluctantly go to our stands and vote for her.

"OHHHHHH YES! You are all right! It was Emily who killed Alexa!" Judge Monokuma declares.

Hearing it with my own ears just makes it worse. I still don't wanna believe it even though I know it's true.

"Well! It looks like it's execution time!" Judge Monokuma laughs.

"NO NO NO. PLEASE. I JUST WANT TO SEE MY FAMILY ONE MORE TIME" Emily screams.

"Upupupu. I think I can do that" Judge Monokuma says.

I don't want to watch this. I don't want Emily to leave like this. I can't believe I'm about to watch my friend...be executed right in front of me...

"It's PUNISHMENT TIME!" Judge Monokuma hits a big red button that makes a projection come up. It's a pixelated monobear pulling a pixelated Emily away and in big red letters is it says "THE KILLER HAS BEEN FOUND"

I see Judge Monokuma help Emily up and he grabs her hand. They go through a big black tunnel together and as they disappear into the blackness one of the walls in front of us pulls up to reveal a glass wall. We see what looks to be a school? There is no actual school but it looks to be some kind of school grounds. We see Emily and then we see two people walking towards her. The look on her face goes from despair to happiness. This must mean those two people are...her parents. They get closer and closer and then Emily reaches out her hand. We then begin to see and hear rumbling on Emily's side of the glass. Before she reaches her parents a stampede of high schoolers begin to run towards Emily as well. There's theater nerds, band geeks, football players, and cheerleaders running at her. As they get closer Emily's supposed parents pull of their face to reveal that they are just Monokuma's. As the smile on her face disappears she gets stampeded by all the people and as the last person stomps over her, the school that didn't seem to be there dropped onto her from above. She was full of despair in her last moments. She didn't even get to actually see her parents. There seems to be one thing left that she dropped right in front of the school that she was now under. It was her locket. Judge Monokuma brings it out to us saying "Here's a little memento!" laughing as he walks away. In my hands I hold the last remains of Emily. Everyone crowds around me to look at it. As I open it expecting see her friends like she said before, it's actually a picture of her hugging both her parents with a smile on her face like none of us have ever seen.
