To all of you who asked me how Bella is preggo, um…let's see…this is awkward, but…when a boy and a girl like each other very much, they get these urges…haha, no way am I giving you all the sex talk. And for you humor-deprived people, that was a joke, and I know that's not what you meant.

To CierraIsACullen, haha wow, even though you're kinda yelling at me for going all Non-Canon, your reviews really entertain me.

To dawnismyenemy, that's really cool that both you and your friend read this story. I don't know why, but hearing that really made my day. Gracias!

And thanks to everyone who had to quote "OOH! This is intriguing!" It made me laugh.

And if anyone's looking for an AWESOME song to get stuck in your head, go listen to Human by The Killers. The lyrics are kinda(really) stupid, but I love it! I've been raving in my room all by me lonesome, and now I'm all out of breath and hyper. Teehee.

"Yup! That's really what it's like! I'm telling you the truth, Henry! I mean it!" Melody was having an argument with her cousin, making me chuckle. It reminded me so much of Bella and Emmett when they were that age.

I walked slowly back up to the attic, knowing Mel would find me when she was done. Dust swirled in the glow from the single light hanging above my head. The box marked 'College' stood proudly in front of me, as if it were illuminated by a spotlight. I reached in, grabbing the first item my hand touched.

A small ornament rested on my hand, picturing a mother and her baby. A dusty smell wafted into my mind, one of cinnamon and pine, warm hot chocolate and cold, wet snow. Christmas time…

Bella and I didn't say anymore the night I found out she was pregnant. We just sat together, starring into space, until we fell asleep. I left that morning before she woke up, entering my house as quietly as I could. Like a mouse, I passed Rose's room, embarrassed to see Emmett in there with her. Strange, their clothes were still in place, and the bed seemed tidy enough…

I smiled. They really were made for each other. The way Rosalie's curves seemed to fit in with Emmett's muscles, like pieces of a puzzle. The same way Bella and Edward had been…before…

I fell onto my bed, exhausted from the shock. Bella was pregnant. Sweet, innocent, pure little Bella…knocked up? My mind couldn't comprehend it.

The next thing I knew, Emmett was shouting at me, cheerful as ever. "WAKEY WAKEY EGGS AND BAKEY!"

Ugh. "Rosalie! Control your fiancé!" I pulled a pillow over my head, trying to drown out his boisterous laughter. Rose's rich laugh harmonized with his as she walked in the room.

"Calm down, Emmett. Now, my dear brother Jasper, where were you last night?" She wagged her eyebrows suggestively, giggling. I scowled.

"Hanging with Bella. What's new? And anyways, where were you last night, Mr. Swan? Hmm? Not at your house, that's for sure." I mimicked Rosalie, wagging my eyebrows. He laughed.

"Ah, you caught me. Just don't tell Charlie, or he'll go all Police Chief on my ass," he said, winking. I rolled my eyes.

"So what are y'all doing today?" I asked, changing the subject. Rose stood up, stretching, and said, lazily, "Christmas Shopping." Emmett's face lightened at the word 'Christmas', then fell at 'Shopping'.

"Oh, crap. I have to do that, too." I jumped out of bed, and ran to my closet, pulling out some random clothes. Emmett and Rosalie left, laughing, and shouted, "Just don't go to Seattle! That's where we'll be!"

I slipped on my clothes and dialed Bella's number. I needed to talk to her in private, and shopping would be the perfect way. Not that either of us enjoyed it.

"Hello?" She answered groggily. I felt bad about waking her. She must've gotten less sleep than I did.

"Hey, Bella. It's Jasper. I just kinda remembered that Christmas is about a week away. And…I need to go shopping. With female guidance. Please, I'm desperate!" I was desperate. Desperate to talk to her.

She giggled a little, a melancholy sound, and said, "Of course, Jazz. Just give me thirty minutes and I'll come pick you up. Where should we go?"

I thought about it for a moment, then answered, "Port Angeles. We can go eat at that Italian restaurant you like afterwards." My stomach growled at the thought, and I walked into the kitchen to grab a quick breakfast.

"Mm, sounds good. Okay, see you in a few."

"Bye." I hung up and shoved a granola bar in my mouth, almost disappointed by how easy that phone call had been. It was as if I hadn't found out about…it.

Thirty minutes later and I found myself in the passenger seat of Bella's rusty truck, watching her intently as we silently drove to Port Angeles.

"You look like you're about to choke, Jazz. Just spit out what you want to say. I know that's the real reason you invited me along. You're a better shopper than I am," she said nonchalantly. The scenery flew past in a blur, and a minute passed before I spoke.

"So…what are you going to do about it? You can always get an…abortion, Bells. You don't have to go through with this." I blurted out quickly. She froze.

"No! I can't! Never. And it's not an it, Jasper. He's a human being. He's my baby." She rubbed her stomach affectionately with one hand, steering with the other. I looked away in shame.

"Sorry, Bella. I didn't mean to insult you."

She smiled. "It's okay. EJ forgives you."

"EJ? What's that stand for? And how are you sure it's a boy?" I asked, twirling a loose piece of her hair between my fingers.

"Oh, I'm sure." She tapped her head with her finger. "Mother's intuition. And EJ should be obvious, Jazzy." She giggled, sounding genuinely happy.

"Um…Edward Jacob?" I said, naming the first two names that popped into my head. She grimaced, the snorted.

"Uh…NO. It's for the two most important guys in my life. Emmett Jasper." I smiled, rubbing her shoulder.

"So, no Albus Severus? I'm highly disappointed." I joked, poking her gently in the ribs. Rolling her eyes, she continued starring at the road.

Another question popped into my head, and I cautiously asked, "Why were you trying to kill yourself then? If you're so protective of EJ, why would you risk that?"

A lone tear ran down her cheek, but her voice was composed when she spoke. "I wasn't trying to kill myself, Jazz. After…after I woke up in the hospital, and realized how close I came to dying, and losing everything, I was terrified of feeling that way again. So…I took extreme measures. When you weren't there to keep me alive, I had to resort to cutting."

We had pulled into the parking lot now, so I was free to pull her into a hug. Her eyes remained dry, but she wrapped her arms tightly around me all the same.

"We'll work through this Bella. Don't worry. This story will have a happy ending."

Okay, yeah, lame chapter, but I have some fun stuff planned for the next one, so hang in there!

BTW, if you're still confused to why Bella's been cutting, go read the lyrics to Hurt, by Nine Inch Nails. I heard it on the radio and was like, "Dude, it's Emo Bella!" Soo…yeah. I would put it in the story, but I really don't like it that much, so…

Also, I was bored so I made some covers for OFY and HEA. There are links to them on my profile.

R&R!
