Hi, guys! I'm back! I see you enjoyed last chapter, but really? Only four reviewers? Really! I'm not being a review junkie, but can the people who follow and favorite, because I got more reviews than that last chapter, can you take like five seconds to review? I don't care if you put a smiley face or 'good chapter' or ' I like it', but can you please review?
Anyways, it's officially been a whole year since I joined fanfiction! Well, it's been over year by only four days, but still. Yay! Go me, go me. It's my birthday, it's my birthday. Which it was a couple of days ago! Go March babies! Also, I came up with a new CluClu story! It'll be sweet and cute. Sad news is, I won't really publish it until I'm almost done with this story. Of course, I've already written a draft for it. On paper.
Now that I'm done talking, on with the chapter! :)
A raven head, green head, red head, brown head, and pink head sat at an oval table, all staring at a busty blonde with raised eyebrows. The blonde stared back at them with a huge grin on her face. She threw each of them a pack of paper, which looked liked a script.
Milly Ashford, daughter of the president of the prestigious Ashford Academy. She had this annoying habit of doing whatever she wanted to do when she wanted to do it, all the while dragging whoever was near her into her newest scheme. In short, a dangerous (or was it amusing?) woman.
Lelouch, Kallen, and Suzaku knew this firsthand, as they were all on the Ashford Student Council with said woman. Since they saw her almost every day during the school year, they were Milly's usual victims of choice. The three friends looked at each other, sure that this script she had just handed out was part of yet another one of her crazy plots.
Before touching the paper, the raven head gave the energetic woman an incredulous look. "You want us to put on a school play in the middle of the school year. We're not even having some kind of event, Milly."
"But it'll be fun, Lelouch! And it's the 174th anniversary of Japan's freedom." Milly beamed. "My grandfather already gave us permission. Besides, you need some excitement in your life."
"Milly. I run a pizza restaurant and have the loudest family on earth. What other excitements in my life do I need?" Lelouch said.
"Ugh, you're no fun." Milly pouted.
Lelouch skimmed through the script. "Are we re-enacting that war from a hundred fifty years ago? I have the main lead, where the boy wants to make a peaceful world for his younger sister. He then ends up making this rebellion called the Black Knights, and becomes the masked hero, Zero?"
"I like it," Suzaku says. "It sounds interesting."
Lelouch scoffed. "Yeah, right. You're the main character's best friend. Not only that. You become the hypocritical bastard of the story."
"What?!" Suzaku shouts in disbelief, skimming through the script. "I even try to kill you! The love of my life dies! And I betray you! There is no fun in that!"
"That's the point!" Milly claps. "You two are best friends! You're practically with each other all the time. You need some tragedy and drama in your life."
Lelouch and Suzaku shake their heads together, sighing at the beaming student council president. C.C., who was sitting next to Lelouch, spoke up. She smirked, saying, "Am I the main lead's girlfriend or something? We have a kissing scene towards the end."
"I am not kissing her!" Lelouch glares at Milly.
Kallen gaped. "Kiss?!"
Milly waved her hand in the air dismissively. "Don't worry. It's a sweet, short peck on the lips. Besides, I know Lelouch doesn't want to kiss anyone. His ego is way too big."
"I do not have a big ego," Lelouch growled.
C.C. smirked, examining her nails. "I think you do. It's terrible for me to know that when I've only known you for three months, my warlock."
"Shut up, witch," Lelouch glared.
Kallen frowned at the nicknames. Until now, she didn't even know they called each other that. Was Lelouch falling in love with C.C.? She groaned, slouching in her sit.
Milly laughed. "Well, now that we are off that topic, I think it's time to go home for the weekend! See you all soon!"
Everyone stood from their seats, and filed out the room. Suzaku stayed back with Euphie, who was going to clean the room, to tell her something. "Neh, Euphie?"
She looked up at him, a smile on her face. "Yes, Suzaku."
His face held an apologetic look. "Well," he started, "I can't come to the doctor with you tomorrow. My mom and dad need my help at the shrine, so..." the brown haired teen trailed off.
Euphie was a little disappointed but smiled. She put the stack of papers in her hand to the side. "That's okay. Family is more important."
Suzaku rubbed his neck. "Are you okay? I hope I didn't disappoint you. I broke the promise."
"It's okay. I'll just ask Cornelia nee-san." Euphie smiled, but inside she was very disappointed. She was really looking forward to Suzaku coming with her.
Suzaku put his hand on the doorknob. "Are you sure?" he asked one more time just to make sure.
"Yeah."
~The Next Day~
"Ugh, C.C.," Lelouch groaned, running his hand through his raven tresses. "It's not that hard to make tomato sauce. I just showed you how."
The green haired girl turned to her boss, crossing her arms and rolling her eyes. "Well, if you would let me work in the kitchen," she hissed, poking a finger in his chest, "I'd know how, Lelouch."
"Again," Lelouch glared, "I can't let you yet. You still need more training. Besides, you're just filling in for Suzaku for the day." The violet eyed teen then eyed the pot in the sink. "And no one can burn tomato sauce like that."
C.C. smirked. "And no one has as big of an ego as you."
Lelouch hissed through gritted teeth, "I do not have a big ego."
"Yesterday at your house, weren't you the one that was so sure you could beat me at Monopoly? And I. Beat. You." she teased, walking past him to gather more tomatoes from the refrigerator.
"Witch." Lelouch muttered angrily.
"Your witch." C.C. corrected with a wide smirk, loud enough for Lelouch to hear.
He scoffed. "Never."
~Doctors Office~
Euphie sighed, looking at her hands in her lap. She was by herself today. She had been disappointed Suzaku couldn't make it, so she thought she would feel better if she asked her older sister, Cornelia, to come with her, but that didn't work out.
Her sister had told her to leave the room before she could finish her question. She had said she was trying to work on the outfits for her upcoming fashion show, so Euphie was turned down before the words could even leave her mouth.
"Ms. Lamperouge, the doctor would like to see you now," the nurse smiled, moving a piece of her hair out of her face.
Euphie stood from her seat. "Okay." she answered quietly. The pink haired teen actually didn't know why she was here, but usually she only had a doctor's appointment once a month, but this was the third time this month she has had to go. She hoped nothing was wrong.
The doctor, Dr. Ayuzawa, looked at his clipboard. He had a serious expression on his face, positioning his glasses on his nose. "Euphie," he looked up at the pink haired teen sitting on the bed. "There seems to be a problem I found in your last test."
"What is it?" Euphie asked, a little nervous.
"I'm not sure, but I just need to do a few checks with you, and then we'll see the result from there," he explained.
After checking Euphie, the doctor went to run some results. He returned with a frown while she looked at him with a hopeful look on her face.
"There's something I need to tell you..."
~Geass Pizza~
"Finally, I get to change from kitchen to register with Kallen," C.C muttered, wiping her hands with a dish cloth.
After she finally got the hang of making tomato sauce, Lelouch made her work in the kitchen for the first couple of hours until it was her turn to be the cashier. She wondered why she wanted to work in the kitchen in the first place. She'd rather be the cashier.
She did not want to see Lelouch for the rest of the day. The guy was so serious and hard on her when it came to working hours! GAH! She hoped he stayed in the kitchen or at the front door.
"C.C.?"
Spoke too soon.
"Yes?" the golden eyed teen answered, irritated.
"Um, I just came to tell you you're still not working in the kitchen, even after Suzaku comes back," he told her, fixing some chairs at a table.
That's it? Wow, Lelouch. "Is that all?"
"That, and you can go home early tonight," Lelouch said, walking back in the kitchen before she could retort.
C.C. shrugged in response, typing in the total payment for one of the customers.
Later, C.C. was allowed to go home. After the last customer left, she plopped herself in one of the chairs at the table near her. She removed her beret from her head, running a hand through her hair. She remembered Kallen had left already, so only she and Lelouch remained.
Lelouch came out the kitchen, grabbing a chair and sitting next to C.C. "Hey."
The green haired teen turned her attention to him, her golden eyes bored. "Hmm?"
"Thank you for helping out while Suzaku was gone." Lelouch smiled slightly.
"You're welcome." C.C. replied. The atmosphere felt really awkward to her right now. Since when did she feel awkward?
A smirk pulled up on Lelouch's face. "Though, I can still see you can't cook. I never knew you could make tomato sauce turn black."
C.C. rolled her eyes, looking away from him. "If you didn't put me in the kitchen, neither of us would know. Of course, I enjoy working at the cash register more."
"Oh, really?" Lelouch asked, raising an eyebrow in amusement. "In that case, kitchen for the next week."
C.C. glared at her raven haired friend. "Now you give me the kitchen," she mumbled sarcastically. "Great."
Lelouch stood up from his chair, grabbing his friends also and pulling her up from her chair. "I say you complain about that later, and we go home," he said, whirling his keys around his finger.
"This time, I'll let you complain about something I'm about to do to you," C.C. stated with a smirk.
"And what exactly would that be?" Lelouch asked, raising his eyebrows and crossing his arms. He had a feeling she would do something that she knew would bother him. She knew him inside and out, even if it had only been three months.
"This," she smirked widely, kissing him on the cheek, just like he had done to her on the first day they met. With that she gathered her stuff, and headed out the door. "Take that as my long-awaited revenge. Bye, my warlock."
The raven haired man touched the cheek she kissed. It took a minute for Lelouch to process what happened before a warm blush spread across his face. "C.C.!" he yelled.
C.C. heard his yell from outside the restaurant where she was standing. She smirked to herself. "Ah, Lelouch. You make my day."
Done! What happened to Euphie at the doctor? Can't tell you that yet. So, how about you type in that box at the bottom and review for me? For now, see ya, my friends!
Read and Review! :)
