Yuzu tapped her pencil impatiently on the table, eyes focused in heavy concentration. No matter which way she looked at it, it just didn't make sense!

Mei sighed in her seat, closing her book to tend to her older step-sister. "What's wrong?"

It didn't matter how long she studied the question. For the past 10 minutes, Yuzu had been stuck with the same math problem in her homework. She swore that with the amount of time she glanced over the formulas, she was beginning to mix up the letters and numbers altogether. "I need some help."

As much as she didn't want to admit it, she did. Yuzu wanted to be independent enough to solve her own problems, but it was proving to be much more challenging than she expected. So much for being an older sister.

Mei adjusted her seat, leaning over to read the question on the book. She then lifted her pencil, hovering over Yuzu's paper to check for any errors. By the time she finished, several circles were marked across, eliminating her sister's failed attempt at an explanation. There was no doubt about it, math was not Yuzu's strong subject.

Yuzu was embarrassed by the amount of errors on her paper. At this rate, there's no way she would pass the next test! She dropped her head against the table, feeling her soul extend from her body, ready to carry on into the next world.

"You'll need to work harder if you want to maintain your rank in the top 100." Mei reminder her sister. She glanced back at Yuzu's sad excuse for homework. "If you require any help I can teach you."

Yuzu's soul retreated back into its shell and she beamed at Mei's offer. "Really? You will?"

"Yes," Mei reopened her book, flipping through several pages of her notes. "I want you to do well with your studies." She remembered how proud her mother looked upon hearing the great news. To be honest, Mei was proud of Yuzu as well.

"Thanks, I could really use the help." Yuzu managed a witty grin at her step-sister before scooting closer eagerly. Her shoulder brushed against Mei as they began reading side by side, going through the problems together.

About an hour had passed before Yuzu slumped back on the floor with hands on her face as she rolled from side to side. It didn't matter if Mei was teaching her, she still failed to grasp the concept of algebra.

"We're not getting anywhere." Mei observed while pushing aside the papers to make way for a new one. She scribbled a problem from scratch, her pencil tapping lightly as Yuzu sat up to solve it.

"This is pointless." Yuzu stared at the letters and numbers. "I'm a lost cause."

Mei crossed her arms, thinking deeply. There had to be a way to get to Yuzu. "No, you're not. I think all you lack is...incentive."

"Huh?"

"Some sort of motivation for you to do better." But what could possibly stimulate Yuzu? Mei thumbed her lip, slowly reaching an idea.

At this point Yuzu was about to give up. She wasn't even motivated to complete the rest of her assignment.

"I'll make you a deal." Mei watched Yuzu's outstretched arms on the table, her blonde hair falling onto the table's cluttered mess of papers and books. "If you can solve the problems I throw at you," Yuzu turned her head rigidly, wondering what Mei was planning. "Then I'll give you a kiss."

"W-What?" Yuzu jerked up, the energy returning back to her entire body. "Like, what kind of k-kiss?"

"A real one." Mei replied vaguely.

Now this was something to look forward to. Yuzu swallowed thickly, feeling her throat grow dry as Mei began writing on the piece of paper. She had no qualms with her sister's idea. To be honest, she was looking forward to some intimate contact.

When she finished, Mei directed her index finger at the first question. "Solve for x."

The gears in Yuzu's brain worked diligently, her eyes scanning her book for reference. She plugged in the appropriate formula, double checking before turning the paper towards Mei.

Yuzu was close, but she made one error that threw everything off. "You missed this." Mei scribbled a few numbers that her sister forgot before explaining the reason why.

"Oh," Yuzu scratched the back of her head. She was so sure she had it.

"Yuzu," Mei rested her hand onto the older girl's, setting her pencil down. "Concentrate. I know you can do this."

Yuzu replied with a brief nod, returning back to the next question. Mei was encouraging her to do better, but more importantly, she believed in her. Yuzu solved the problem to the best of her abilities as Mei routinely checked her answer.

There was a pause as Mei's eyes trailed her sister's work, her pencil hovering over for any errors. To her surprise there weren't any.

"It's not wrong is it?" Yuzu leaned closer, waiting for her sister's verdict. "I mean, I did what you said."

"...And you are correct."

Yuzu met eyes with Mei, her lips widening into a bright, cheery smile. "Really?"

"Yes," Mei wasted no time sealing their lips together. She closed her eyes shut, feeling Yuzu reciprocate steadily. Her hand entwined with the blonde's, her fingers squeezing lightly for assurance. Their lips parted in sync, dipping at just the right moments. She had been a little too forceful as Yuzu pulled back slightly, snaking her hand around her neck. It were times like these when Mei wished Yuzu had paid more attention in class, so that maybe she wouldn't have waited so long for this.

The moment Yuzu extended her tongue, Mei withdrew regrettably, ending the kiss sooner than she would've liked. "No tongue." Her words came out half-heartedly. If Yuzu continued, there was no way she would stop.

Mei left Yuzu rosied, her cheeks ablaze, green eyes sparkling with a mild sense of disappointment. It was a real kiss, but it was way too short for her to enjoy it.

"Don't lose focus." Mei reminded her sister, recollecting her composure as she tucked away a strand of her raven hair behind her ear. She looked away instantly, perhaps to avoid the temptation of continuing where they left off.

Yuzu was forced back to complete the rest of the questions, though with time they began to make more sense. She couldn't tell if it was solely because of Mei's incentive, but one thing was for sure - her improvement was indeed notable.

It took a moment for Mei to read through Yuzu's answers, her lips slipping into a satisfied grin. She was simply grateful that they had made some progress, even if it was only a handful. Yuzu stared at her intently, patiently waiting for her promised reward.

"So? What do you say? Did I pass?"

Mei's grin retreated instantly, her lips remaining silent to draw out a more dramatic effect.

"Mei?" Yuzu raised her voice slightly. Her little step-sister was being somewhat harsh. The silent treatment wasn't really what Yuzu wanted at the moment.

"Well..." Mei's word lingered in the air until she set the paper down gently. "I'm quite sure you have the capability."

"Yes!" Yuzu exclaimed with triumph, her hands rocketing upwards to relish her accomplishment. Mei watched her sister indulge in glory before clearing her throat. It seems that with all the excitement, Yuzu had forgotten about her reward.

"Oh," Yuzu sat back down, settling closer to Mei than before. "Thanks for helping me out. I really needed it." She released a breath, her eyes meeting her little sister's. "Seriously."

Mei's hand connected with Yuzu's and for a brief second, she felt her heart flutter. "It's not a problem." She steeled herself and dipped in, stealing a witty kiss from the troublesome blonde.

Yuzu jumped in her seat, but obliged willingly. She really did forget the reward she'd reap after all her hard work. Their hands intertwined and Mei advanced eagerly, so much that Yuzu began to think that it was benefiting her sister more than herself. She grinned into the kiss, arching back until they fell over, Mei hovering over with palms on either side.

"Someone's excited." Yuzu laughed, feeling a pair of lips sucking onto her neck.

"You are a slow learner." Mei replied, rolling her tongue over Yuzu's ear. Her sister squirmed on the floor, her grin slipping into a satisfied smile.

As Yuzu closed her eyes and delved deeper into pleasure, she made a mental note for Mei to tutor her in every subject - for the remainder of the year.
