I'm back! I hope

She sat on the floor and heard the door open but ignored who ever entered. She didn't want to talk to anyone anyhow. She tried to stop the tears and dry her eyes but it was not working. She glanced up and seen Victor sitting beside the door looking at the floor. She loved him for not saying anything and just being here. She didn't know how long she sat there for, but eventually Victor got up and walked towards her. He sat down in front of her and pulled the laces and slipped her ballet slippers off. He stood up and extended his hand and helped her up.

"Come on kid. Another advil and off to bed." He said motioning to the door. "Tomorrow is anoth-"

"Another day." Cassie finished for him. He has been telling her the same line since she met him when she was twelve. "When will you stop being so happy go lucky."

Victor guided Cassie out of the room. "Leave them. I will get them." Victor told her as she went for her shoes. He opened the door and Cassie walked out as he followed he snagged her shoes. "It looks like we are playing some hookie tomorrow."

"Was hoping it would involve some of your driving skills. Dads' lawyer sent some houses for me to look at."

Victor groaned. "You are not normal. You are suppose to do nothing on a hookie day not go and look at properties for sale."

"I want to find a new place for all the old reasons and for the new reason. That someone broke into my house." She told him, opening the cabinet above the kitchen sink. She took the bottle of Advil out and poured two into her hand. She swallowed them dry before Victor could pour water into a glass.

"I hate when you do that." Victor said as he handed her the water anyways.

Cassie grinned. "I know." She took the glass with her and headed up the stairs. "As always it's been a pleasure." Cassie told him as they stopped at her childhood bedroom.

Victor chuckled. "And as always the pleasure is all mine." He told her as he handed her an ice pack. "I will get in touch with the lawyer and I will wake you up around ten."

"Thank you." She said opening the door.

"Good night kid." Victor told her as he closed the door and headed to his room across the hallway.

FLASHPOINT

Cassie switched the lights on and she cringed a little. Her bedroom was spacious and very very Prima Ballerina. The walls were light grey with famous ballerinas framed all over the place. Signed of course. Her canopy bed was grey sheets and ballet slipper printed comforter, with pink sheer curtains.
She had nine pairs of ballet shoes that had been signed by the enter cast of the nine productions she starred in an adult. They were hanging off of different things one was hanging off her lamp and a few hung off her canopy bed. Her older ones were on the bookcase. She had a walk in closet with a vanity table and a private bathroom. She slipped into the bathroom and grinned. Her mom had the maid put out pjs and a new toothbrush for her. She quickly changed and headed to her bed. Her sheets had the freshly launder smell to them. She crawled into bed and hoped for no nightmares.

FLASHPOINT

The knock on the door happened at ten on the dot. "You decent." Victor asked, as he turned the door handle and opened it a crack.

"I'm awake." She answered from her walk in. "I am even dressed and ready to go." She told him surprised. She walked back into her room and sat on her bed to put on her socks.

He looked at her bedstand and seen the bottle of advil. "You take any recently?" He asked a she stood up and he handed her a new ice pack.

"Thank you." She placed the ice on her face and the relief was instant.

"Your lawyer sent me the list of properties and I have contacted your real estate agent and he is setting up viewing today. Our first one is in thirty minutes. So there is breakfast waiting for you in the kitchen and the car is waiting out front." Victor explained.

"Perfect." Cas said following Victor out of her room. She walked into the kitchen and praised her parents cook. Chocolate chip pancakes were sitting in the warming tray. "Yes!" She cheered loading her plate up and drowning them in maple syrup. She sat at the island and started eatting. She looked around, listening.
"She's gone." Victor answered her unasked question.

She nodded grimly. Hating the thought had appeared in her head. If her mom seen her eatting all this she would make some comment about carbs and working it off. She listened to Victor as he talked about the plans for the day as she ate. Her phone chirped and she reached for it and looked at the message. 'HOW'S THE HEAD?' The message read from Ed. 'PEACHY' She replied back. She put her dishes in the sink and followed Victor out of the house. He had the car parked out front ready to go.

It didn't take long for them to arrive at the first house. She frowned at it as she studied it's curb appeal. 'THANKS DAD FOR THAT' she opened the door and headed up the walkway. She wasn't surprised that her dad and real estate agent were already there. The front door opened before she made it to the front steps and her dad and real estate agent Kelly Michaels stood in the doorway.

"Hi Sweetheart." Her dad greeted her, kissing her cheek.

"Hi Dad." She turned to Kelly. "Hi Kelly. Thank you for helping me out." She shook his hand.

"Pleasures all mine Miss Phantom." He returned the hand shake and stepped out of the way to allow her to enter the house. "It's a nice place we have here." Kelly said jumping right into the details.

She followed Kelly and her Dad as they walked around the house. Victor trailed behind her. Kelly and her Dad walked around talking about square footage and all the other specs and new upgrades. "And the neighbourhood?" She interrupted.

"Just like you. All young working professionals. It's a very quiet neighbourhood." Kelly answered, as they stopped in the very spacious kitchen.

"Well what do you think?" Kelly asked.

"It's very nice." Cassie told him, looking around the kitchen. "Unfortunately not exactly what I am looking for. I don't have room for a dance studio,
I'd have to convert one of these rooms." She contemplated. "No I really don't want to convert a main room into my studio." She was talking to herself out loud.

"I guess that means we are on to option number two." Kelly told them, closing the folder in front of him.

"Sounds great. I need to stop in at the Firm. I will meet you three at the third option if it gets that far." Her father said, winking at her. He kissed her cheek. "Bye."

"Bye." She replied. As the rest of them followed behind him.

"I think we are going to stop for coffee before the next showing." Victor told Kelly as he opened the door for Cassie.

"Sounds good. I will head over and talk to the real estate agent before you get there." Kelly told them.

"Would you like something from Timmies?" Cassie asked him.

"Double Double would be great." Kelly replied, waving as he went to his car.

Victor hit the drive thru on the way to the second option. Cassie looked up the listing on her phone to see where they were heading next. It looked like a beautiful home from the pictures on the ad. Victor handed her one of the ice capps and headed to the second option. They drove to the outskirts of the city to a quiet neighbourhood. She liked what she seen as Victor stopped infront of the house. It had a two car garage and was a beautiful modern victorian house with dark grey brick black trim around the doors and window and natural wood beam accents on the porch. Kelly opened the door and walked down to meet them in the driveway. The real estate agent was standing on the porch watching them. Cassie handed Kelly his coffee as they walked up to meet the other real estate agent.

"Vanessa I would like you to meet my client Cassie Phantom and her friend Victor." Kelly introduced them.
"Miss Phantom!" Vanessa nearly squeaked. "It's a pleasure to meet you." Vanessa said as she shook her hand then greeted Victor.

"You aswell. I love the look of the house. What is the neighbourhood like?"
