Chapter Ten
"Rai, you don't have to do this. I'm here, we could team up!"
"No. You ran. Now back to business. If you do not give me your stuff willingly, I will take it, along with your life. Now pick."
"I am not going to cower before a Quicksilver again. Hyyyaahhh!" Robbie used his good leg to kick his foe's sword out of his hand, but Rai just reached for his dagger.
"Okay, I warned you!" Rai plunged the dagger to the hilt in Robbie's thigh, then put the point at his neck.
"Yield. Give me your stuff, and I'll go. Last chance."
"I will not."
"Your loss." Rai raised his dagger, ready to plunge the red stained blade into Robbie's throat. Robbie saw his chance and rolled to the side, forcing Rai to jam his dagger into the ground. While Rai was straining to pull his dagger out of the ground, Robbie was crawling towards the last remaining chest, hoping against hope that Rai had left a healing potion in it. Luckily, he had!
Meanwhile, Rai had given up on pulling the dagger out of the ground. He wished that he had a bow. He had the arrows though, and even though he was a Quicksilver now, he was as resourceful as ever. He pulled an arrow out of his quiver and turned around, expecting to see Robbie laying on the ground where he was before. Instead he found Robbie, standing up, holding the sword that had been kicked out of his hand to his throat.
"All right Rai, now back to business. If you do not team with me, I will kill you. Now pick."
"No. You. Ran." Rai stared bravely at him, ready for death. Robbie realized that he couldn't kill the man who took him in, but he also couldn't let him go.
"Rai, I won't kill you, I can't. But... I also can't let you go free." Robbie slashed Rai's calf, but bandaged him up so that he wouldn't die of blood loss. "There. Now you won't be able to chase me for a while, and Quicksilver should come and pick you up."
"NO! P-please, do you know what they do to people who fail them? I'll give you a hint: they have a pet zombie. Just-just kill me."
"I can't."
"PLEEASSE!"
"Fine, I'll give you some healing potion if you promise to team with me."
Rai looked stubbornly at him. "NO."
Robbie looked stubbornly back. He could really use a fighter like Rai on his team, but he knew that he coudn't leave him to die. He scooped up the healing potion from the floor, and put it ten feet away from Rai. He knew that Rai could crawl, and it would be slow enough for him to escape. He left the building as the sound of hoof beats grew louder and louder. He started to run.
This is the only "note from the author" that you will get on mine-z, unless enough people pm me and say that they liked seeing this. First off, I want to thank everyone who read up to chapter 10, because this is the furthest that I have ever gotten in a story before. Also, and this is pretty frickin' shameless, I have another chapter story called "EDA: Beginnings" and I would appreciate it if you would check it out, maybe enter the contest, stuff like that. And also, as long as I'm advertising, please check out my one shot called "Why You Are the Only Person in Minecraft"
