Hello Everyone! I've unable to post or practically do anything the past month because I was really sick but I've been getting through it and now I'm feeling a lot better:) I hope you enjoy this chapter as it took me a while to finally post it on this site.
When I finally transformed into the Silver Zeo Ranger again after all of this time, the electrifying power flowing within me felt as if I never left me. The suit embraced me like a second skin with its metallic silver tones and gold accents reflecting from the lights held inside the Power Chamber while the Silver Crystal that once hanged around my neck became fused inside the suit's chest plate and took the form of the same shape of my visor, a six-pointed star. As the protected helmet over my head felt light as a feather and my brown irises easily viewed through the six-pointed star shaped visor, the illuminated bluish green readings within the helmet picked up the disruptive activities happening right now in the downtown district where the other Rangers needed my help and soon teleported towards the area of the battle.
"You can do this again, Steph! Everyone is depending on you!" I told myself trying to hold down the nerve inducing butterflies that were kicking inside my stomach profusely while my heart pounded rapidly through my chest feeling the adrenaline pumping into my veins once more.
As both my feet touched the top of a small building position near the fight between the leader of the Black Hole Galaxy, Gulo and the Zeo Rangers, the small computer inside my helmet zoomed in on the sight as I was able to see my friends completely out of breath and struggling to stand on their feet while the new threat sent down by the Machine Empire stood tall and mocked each of the Rangers. I clenched both of my fists knowing this fur-ball wasn't going to get away with this, not while I was here.
"POWER RANGERS! All of you truly…truly disappoint me! If each one of you would have cooperated in giving me what I desired the most than none of this would have occurred. Sadly, it is too late to help me now and leave me no choice." My ears picked up the piercing snarl words of the creature Gulo causing my heart to suddenly freeze up as I had to act and prevent any more harm and possibly death to my friends and Jason.
Jason's P.O.V:
As Gulo glared at us with those horrible emotionless golden orbs after he grew tired of us and decided to destroy my friends after not receiving what he wanted which none of us knew exactly what he was talking about. I needed to stop the sadistic beast before he kills my friends, he needed to be stopped.
"SAY GOODBYE TO YOUR FRIENDS, GOLD RANGER!" The wolf-bear alien hybrid roared out angrily and began to extend out one of his clawed hands as the familiar black and deep purple colored orbs of energy began absorbing into his palm.
"NO! STOP..!" I tried to push myself on my feet and stop him but the lingering injuries made it difficult to move at all, the pain completely numbed my whole body as the Gold Ranger suit took too much damage to repair itself under these circumstances.
"Haha…ARGH!" All of a sudden, the Black Hole Galaxy leader yelped out in pain as his laughter was disrupted by an unknown object slashing his hand in seconds as the purplish black energy formed within his hand evaporated in the air.
All of us gazed our eyes to the sight of something shimmering from the sunlight above us as my eyes were caught in surprise and I couldn't believe it, there standing on top of the building was another Ranger catching the unknown object in their hand which looked like a crescent boomerang. I realized it was the Silver Ranger.
Gulo quickly withdrew his wounded hand and held in towards his chest as he turned his attention to the sight of the Silver Zeo Ranger as I wondered if it was truly Stephanie in that Zeo suit.
'It has to be you in there…No one else can take your place…'
"Well…it's about time you decided to grace us with your presence, Silver Ranger! I've been waiting for you!" The black large beast began to growl lowly snapping down his jaw and those yellowish sharp fangs visibly shown as the sudden images of the time Steph and I were surrounded by a group of Cogs flashed through my head again. The attack wasn't random and the Machine Empire knew about the Silver Ranger and targeted Stephanie because of it.
"What? That's impossible!" Kat's voice let out in surprise as all of our eyes stared at the metallic Ranger standing high on the top of the building in front of us while the voices of my friends continued to buzz through my ears.
"It can't be…" Tanya, the Yellow Zeo Ranger spoke out in confusion following by Rocky, the Blue Zeo Ranger sharing his surprise.
"I don't understand, Zordon promised us there will be no other Ranger in Steph's place."
"And there couldn't be…We were told that within each of the Zeo Crystals there can only be one individual chosen…there's no possible way the Silver Crystal chose someone else to become a Ranger…" Adam reminded each of us about the crystals as Tommy finally spoke out.
"Unless that is Stephanie…" Once the Red Zeo Ranger said this, the Silver Ranger jumped off the building and twisted her body into a front flip before landing perfectly on her feet and now faced the new threat of the Power Rangers.
End P.O.V.
As my feet became planted on the cracked asphalt ground, I was now several feet away from the Machine Empire's solider viciously bearing out his terrible fangs and looked straight at me with those hypnotizing golden orbs while I tightly clenched my fists resting beside me.
"So, you're willing to put up a fight with me, Silver Ranger? Maybe you can prove to be more of a challenge than your weak friends here." The hairy creature growled as he spoke out while my eyes scanned over to the sight of the Rangers struggling to pull themselves back on their feet as the ground underneath them was stained with blotches of blood and the ground teared up aggressively with rubble of concrete and dirt.
"Leave them alone, Gulo. You have no purpose on this planet and I suggest you leave…" I began to speak up to him and pulled my fist out towards my chest preparing to defend myself in this upcoming fight.
"Foolish girl, I believe I have a right to be this pathetic little planet and it concerns you, my dear. Your friends have no business with me only you." He howled with a grimace appearing along his snout but I decided to provoke him.
"Bring it on then…" I softly let out with a smirk showing at the corner of my lips and caught the devilish grin playing on his face soon after he heard me.
"Finally a challenge…" At the last of his words, I began to push myself forward and sprinted towards Gulo head on.
The Black Hole Galaxy leader roared in response revealing his yellow sharp fangs as they protruded outwards while those hollow golden eyes flickered dangerously in my direction. It was the kind of look that tried to disable me from the fight except I wasn't going to fall under his tricks. While I began to inch closer to the shadow color bear-wolf creature, I took a leap into the air and twisted my body over his head perfectly landing on my feet behind him before throwing my closed fist straight into the monster's chest in an attempt to make the first attack.
"Hi-Yah!" My voice yelled out with my fist almost in close contact within the rough hide of the Empire's solider but he proved to have quick reflexes and easily brought his arms out in front of me blocking my punch. I was able to regain myself crouching to the ground and swung my leg underneath his feet in order to bring him down to the asphalt as once again he avoided it by leaping back.
Suddenly, Gulo threatened me with an aggressive snarl placing his hands on the ground retreating to a quadrupedal animal state and I watched intensely as his sharp claws scratched against the pavement before he came running straight at me to attack. My legs stood firmly on the ground as the fast moving monster opened up his jaw filled fangs and quickly lunged at me in an effort to pin me against the ground. Although before he could have succeeded, I escaped from him by performing a quick sequence of back flips giving myself a good distance apart avoiding his forceful attack.
"Stop running away and fight me, Silver Ranger!" He angrily growled out as I stood back on my feet and engaged in combat with the monster.
Gulo began to strike his claws at me as he intentionally tried his hardest to inflict pain upon me and I desperately was able to dodge those powerful weapons from cutting into me even though there were several close calls that enabled him to leave visible claw marks along the sides of my helmet, shoulders, arms and torso as despite being light scratches they were effective enough to leave minor cuts and bruising on my body.
"You're pretty quickly, Ranger…" Gulo let out a low rumble within his throat as the two of us were deeply engaged in combat while I waited for an opening to appear in order to catch him off guard.
"Don't try to sweet talk me…" I spat out and gritted my teeth as the bright green illuminating readings from the inside computer of my helmet flashed red as a target narrowed in on the monster's opened jaw which found my chance to land a fist against his jaw. The surprise punch made him stumble backwards before holding his hand out in front of me while facing me with a glare as he spat out deep plum colored blood from his mouth and slowly I began to witness purplish dark spheres of some sort of energy absorbing into his extend hand.
"Now you're mine, Silver Ranger!" Gulo spat out with satisfaction laughing evilly as my ears rang to sound of Jason's panic voice shouting at me.
"STEPHANIE! MOVE!" The glowing dark spheres suddenly transformed into a large wide beam of energy heading towards me as I quickly rolled out of the way dodging the powerful blast watching it rip through the asphalt like paper.
Once I pulled myself back onto my feet, I was surprised by Gulo, who slashed his razor claws across my stomach causing the suit to shoot out sparks of electricity causing the barrier within the suit to be affected. The power of the Silver Zeo Crystal prevented severe injury within my targeted stomach as it protected me revealing light markings where Gulo had struck me. Yet despite being shielded from serious injuries, I easily felt the burning wave of indescribable pain from the attack as I screamed out painfully.
"STEPHANIE!" The cries of concerns from the voices of the other Rangers echoed into the air as I fell to the ground on my knees while the Zeo suit powered by the crystal activated its restoration process to heal the suit as lingering pain caused my skin to burn. My friends pacing footsteps pounded against the ground as I could hear them running towards me only to be stopped by the Black Hole Galaxy leader.
"DON'T! Don't think about moving another step, Rangers! I will not hesitate to obliterate each and every one of you..." Slowly I opened my eyes and tried to ignore the numbing pain as I found the Zeo Rangers stopped dead in their tracks easily frustrated even if I couldn't see it on their faces I knew they wanted to help but couldn't do anything.
"You disappoint me, Silver Ranger. The only thing you proved to me is that you're weak just as your friends. I thought you were different but you are only pathetic, no matter, you still have use for me." The monster let out another low growl mocking me as I began to rise back to my feet with some struggle and holding one hand over the healing pain within my stomach while Gulo began to move towards me on both legs. Within that moment, everything seemed to slow down instantly as the hard pounding of my heart drummed through my ears as small bullets of sweat streamed down my face while trying to stay focused in this battle.
Suddenly, the weighted object resting inside the hoister of the golden belt attached around my waist touched the tips of my fingers as I still had my main weapon to defend myself with. Firmly, I placed my left hand over the comfortable grip of the golden handle belonging to the Celestial Chained Whip Sword while I waited for the Empire's solider to be close enough within range.
"Hi-Yah!" I quickly pulled out my weapon swinging it towards Gulo as the silver and gold blade extracted itself into a long extended chain separated into crescent blades striking him instantly allowing the blades to cut his face.
"ARGH!" The ruler of the Black Hole Galaxy horribly howled in pain within the seconds of impact as he quickly cupped his injured face with his hands.
"You little…BITCH!" Those golden orbs welcomed me with an enraged glare as I returned the gesture with a satisfying smirk while the whip chained blades returned to its sword like state.
"Looks like I'm not so pathetic after all…." I let out with a provoking tone proving Gulo wrong as it only angered him more and responded with an irritated snarl.
"This is just the beginning, Ranger. I'm not through with this yet, next time it won't be so easy…" As he roared out at me, Gulo became completely engulfed by onyx flames tinted with purple before vanishing on the spot leaving the Zeo Rangers and me on the ruined streets.
Before I became overwhelmed with feeling lightheaded and fatigue, I used the last of my strength to pull out the small glass vile from the compact within the buckle of my belt and placed several DNA strands of black hair found along my suit inside of the vile as I sealed it tight and held it in my hand. The power of the Silver Zeo Crystal reverted back into the chained necklace hanging around my neck as the suit disappear from my body and returned to my normal self and slowly fell backwards. I was seconds away from hitting the ground as I felt myself caught in the arms of someone familiar.
"Stephanie, are you alright!?" The concern voice belonged to Jason as I began to reopen my eyes and found him still as the Gold Ranger with the others surrounded around me.
"I'm fine…I guess it's been a little too long since I've used the powers of the Silver Crystal." My lips let out a soft smile to reassure him and in response I could sense the warm smirk underneath his darken visor.
"Come on. Let's get back to the Power Chamber." Tommy soon advised all of us and we agreed as I held onto Jason tightly before I felt my body enveloped in the comfortable electricity of the familiar colors of silver and purple energy.
