Captivating

Hopefully this is a cute one, enjoy.

Sunshine

Birds chirped and sang as they walked hand in hand down the gravel path.

"Aww, what a lovely day! Good thing I brought a pic-nic for us." Orihime sang as she and her tired boyfriend strolled leisurely down the dirt path to the big park that Karin, Ichigo's younger sister, normally played football in. It was a Saturday, and sunny, therefore there were a few other groups of people congregating in the park, all having the same idea as them. Pic-nic blankets were spread out everywhere and Orihime was a bit perturbed at this, where were they going to put theirs? After scanning the area, she found the perfect spot, under a large leafy tree. She dragged Ichigo's fatigued and limp body swiftly to the location she'd spotted and plonked down spreading out her tartan pic-nic blanket and her basket of treats. Ichigo yawned and Orihime raised an eyebrow.

"C'mon be more enthusiastic, Ichigo-kun!" Orihime fist-pumped the air with determination "show some spirit!" Orihime had woken up early, with the idea of the pic-nic, having a strange sense that it would be a lovely day, her female intuition never failing her. Orihime pulled her large white sun hat off her head as she started unpacking the goods she'd brought with her.

"I can't show 'spirit' since I don't have any because you called me on the phone at 5 A.M." Ichigo mumbled, flopping down on the blanket and resting his eyes.

"I already said I'm sorry!" Orihime pouted, rolling over to him and resting her chin on his chest, he cracked an eye open to give her a weary smile, and she beamed back at him. "But isn't it wonderful? The sunshine is dazzlingly beautiful don't you think?"

"Orihime, I know something else that's dazzlingly beautiful." Ichigo said leaning up on his elbows, closing the distance between them. Orihime blushed as she leaned forward slightly, giving him a peck on the lips. They both couldn't help but smile brightly afterwards, and Ichigo observed her - if she wasn't the epitome of sunshine he didn't know what was. Broken out of his thoughts, his attention was brought to the things she was unpacking from the pic-nic basket, everything packaged in small tupperware boxes. "So... what did you bring?" Ichigo asked bemused, picking up a small box with what looked to be bright red... somethings. He didn't even fully know what that was in there.

"Oh! I packed some sandwiches, cake, biscuits, coke, fruit and all sorts really." Orihime grinned in reply, passing him a coke can. His eyes widened at her words 'all sorts,' that phrase really turned his stomach when it came to Orihime and her cooking.

"All sorts?" Ichigo echoed his eyes widening a fraction to which Orihime grinned even more, seemingly unaware of his frightened expression.

"Yup! And everything is 100% home-made!" Orihime said rummaging through the basket and fishing out more home-made delights. As he examined the biscuits and cakes she laid out on the pic-nic mat, he couldn't help but notice the weird rough texture of them or the slight brown/green substance oozing from them. He popped open the can of coke in his hands. He'd stick with the safer option.

"On second thought, I think I'll just have coke."

Hope you enjoyed. (ノ◕ヮ◕)ノ*:・゚✧
