-Butterfly Daydreams
-Chapter 10-
Tsuna was warm. Oh so very warm. But it was extremely comforting. He vaguely remembered getting gently lifted somewhere, but he was too groggy to actually see who the person had been. After getting comfortable next to their chest, he let their heartbeat relax him back into his dreams. Shifting slightly, he felt that he ended up on a couch. The more he came to his senses, the more he noticed. There was the light scent of coffee wafting throughout the air. 'What room has a coffee maker and couches?' Propping himself on his elbows, he tried to gather his bearings. 'Wow, I slept really hard, didn't I.' Looking down, he noticed that there was a blanket over him. Whoever had taken him here had made sure he was comfortable. 'I've got to thank whoever the person was.' Pushing his body up to make himself sit up all the way, he slowly took in his surroundings. Feeling apprehensive as he slowly realized what room he was in, he unsurely looked ahead. Answering his internal question, he saw Hibari sitting at his desk. Initially flinching, he took a look at him and noticed that he was asleep. It had looked like he was in the middle of working, because his hand was the only thing holding his head up, and still had his pen wedged between his fingers. It was oddly cute, to say the least. But thinking of the scariest man on the planet as cute was oddly unsettling.
'What should I do? Hibari wakes up at the sound of a rose petal. Thank God he isn't someone who likes to have flowers in their room, or I'd more than likely be dead right now.' Deciding that it'd be best to leave as quietly as possible, Tsuna, now having past experience with the Carnivore sleeping, slowly got up, and tip-toed towards the door. Now that he thought about it, was Hibari really that comfortable with allowing him to see him so unguarded? It was oddly pleasing, in it's own sense. Hibari wasn't one to trust people with much of anything that had to do with his personal life. Feeling a tinge of happiness as he crept closer to the door, he felt like he had accomplished something as the Decimo as well. Although he didn't like to admit it, he was the Vongola's boss, whether he liked it or not. And having a family and guardians included having trust within the entirety of the family. Knowing that this was Hibari's way of showing the slightest bit of trust was a small step in bringing the whole family together. Although he didn't quite think that many of the other members would really get to know him all that well, he still felt as though there'd be lest hostility. Finally reaching for the doorknob, he heard something shift behind him. Hearing a thump above his head, he looked up and realized it was a hand. Stifling a small squeak, he unconsciously jumped back, right into a solid chest.
"Herbivore, did I say you could leave yet?" He should've moved faster. Tsuna knew just from the way things were going, that he was going to be roped into something that made him uncomfortable. And the more he leaned against Hibari, the more familiar his chest felt. 'Oh no. No, no no no. Hibari carried me so gently in here? Why hadn't I thought of that when I woke up in his office for God's sake?' Reveling in the new information that he uncovered, he began to feel the tips of his ears heat up. He fell asleep on Hibari, and listened to his heart beat to help soothe him back to sleep. How embarrassing was that? 'Hibari's a guy, and so am I. It'd be best if I completely disregard what had happened before, and act as though I was knocked out to the point that I don't remember a single thing.' Juggling all of his thoughts at once, he had forgotten the extremely close proximity he was within Hibari's personal space. Finally realizing, he squeaked once again, and pushed himself forward against the door. 'This guy is going to be the end of me, I swear it.'
Hibari was displeased. Not in a angry way, but more or less an embarrassed way. This was the second time the Herbivore has seen him asleep. He doesn't even allow Kusakabe to do that, and making it worse, Tsuna is his potential mate. As far as he was concerned, you have to impress your mate with strength, not sleeping while on duty. Deciding it was best to put the Herbivore in a position where he wouldn't turn around and notice his embarrassment, he had placed his hand above his head on the door. He was not going to let him leave without making himself seem decent and back to normal again. Perhaps, he could even continue with what he was going to do, before he had even found Tsuna asleep. Noticing the reddening of the boys ears, he smirked and said "Herbivore, go back and sit down, I'm not done with you." Hearing the light response of 'Yes Hibari-San' coming from the smaller boy, he studied the back of his neck. It looked so soft, and unmarked. 'Soon, very soon, that neck will be marked as mine, and mine alone.'
Smirking at his thoughts, he turned back and head towards his desk. After making sure that Tsuna sat down, and that he had his full attention, he went on to tell him about the announcement that Kusakabe had been making before he had fallen asleep in the classroom. "You more than likely didn't hear this, because you were too busy sleeping in your class, but I'll repeat it for you, and only once. So listen carefully. There's a beach trip coming up next week. Everyone is allowed to go, because there's going to be some renovations within the school. And as much as I'd like to stay and watch the progress, I've been adamantly ordered to go on the trip by the principal, and he won't back down from his decision." Recalling the argument he had with the principal earlier, Hibari frowned. Remembering how he had vehemently rejected Hibari's wanting to stay in school irritated him. Normally the principal was completely alright with him overseeing what was going on, but it more or less felt as though he wanted Hibari to just go out and experience the everyday life of a 'teenager'. Huffing as he continued, he saw Tsuna slowly realize what he was telling him. He guessed that the beach was more than likely not his forte. He wasn't the only one thinking that.
Tsuna couldn't believe his ears. He had to go to the beach, and it was mandatory. And to top it all off, Hibari had to go as well. That was going to be extremely awkward. Either Hibari was going to have a flock of unknowing females following him, or he's going to make everyone else feel so awkward that they're not going to enjoy their day. Or both, who knows. But what makes it worse was the fact that Tsuna didn't even remotely like the beach. It was too hot, he burned easily, and the last time he went there he and his friends were attacked by a giant octopus. He just really didn't want to go. But from the way Hibari was looking at him, it became crystal clear that there was going to be no way he could avoid it. 'Damn it. Couldn't he just like, have me excused from that day or something? I'll try and feign sickness or something. Because there is absolutely no way that I'm going to go.' After Hibari was done, he figured it was time for him to leave and head to whatever classes he had left. He wasn't quite sure for how long he was asleep, but he knew that he might as well sit through the rest of his classes to get it over with. Heading towards the door, he heard Hibari clear his throat. Knowing this was a sign for him to stop, he turned around and looked at Hibari with as much interest as he could possibly plaster onto his face. What he heard next was something that he wouldn't have imagined in a thousand years.
"Don't go anywhere. We're going out to go eat something. I'm..treating."
