Hey guys! I'm on vacay, visiting some family, using my free time to update and everything. Again, I apologize for the really late chapter 8. Here's chapter 10. Hope you like it.

Percy woke up in a jolt. He looked up in front of him, seeing Annabeth. Holy shit, what happened last night?. He gasped softly, realizing what he did. No, that was wrong. I shouldn't have done that. Maybe it isn't. She obviously has feelings for you, a voice said in his mind. No, I need to push these feelings out. It's too dangerous. Annabeth may still have feelings for Luke. Percy got up, carrying Annabeth to her room. As she slept, he watched her. She looks so peaceful. Like an angel. He sighed. Push it aside. She never even existed. The intimacy between us never happened. And with that, he left.

Annabeth woke up feeling very pleasant. She reached out next to her smiling, but then touching an empty space. She was in her bed. "W-what?" She said out loud. Where's Percy? He shouldn't have left. He told me he loves me! She thought desperately. She jumped out of bed, hurrying to find her A.W.O.L kind-of boyfriend. "Percy?" She called out. If I were Percy, where would I go? "The pool!" She exclaimed. As she went inside, she saw Percy coming out of the locker room heading towards the exit. She marched towards him. He saw her and tried to walk away, trying to avoid her as much as possible. "Percy!" She called out. He kept walking. "Percy!" Annabeth said, with more intensity. He hesitated, but kept walking. "Percy! She said, catching up to him. She walked in front of him, trapping the space between him and the exit. "What, Annabeth?" He said, his face unreadable. "Percy Jackson, you know full well what happened between us last night, that gives you absolutely no reason to treat me this way!" She exclaimed, earning the attention of the people in the community center. "Annabeth, you're making a scene here!" Percy said through clenched teeth. "Oh, I'm making a scene?" She said, putting her hands on her hips.

"Annabeth, I didn't want to have to do this but," Percy picked her up, placing her midsection on his shoulders. "Percy! What are you doing? Put me down!" Annabeth screamed. "Stop making a scene and I will." He responded. She quieted down. "Look, Annabeth , whatever you think happened last night, probably didn't happen. You were tired and you probably dreamed that I did. I have to go. Bye." He said, getting into his car. Before he could react, Annabeth ran out in front or his car, pushing her over. "Oh my God! Annabeth!" He shouted. He took her bloody, battered body in his arms, seating her in the back of his car. "911, what is your emergency?" The operator answered. "Hello? Please send an ambulance. My friend just got run over by a car. Please! Come quickly! She's bleeding!" He shouted in to his end of the phone. "Alright, try to stop the bleeding. An ambulance will be there as soon as possible." The operator responded. "Thank you." Percy said, hanging up. "Hang in there, Annabeth. It will be alright." He said patting her head.

He took off his jacket and shirt, wrapping the shirt around her foot, and the jacket around her arm. The people from the community center poured into the parking lot, asking questions and chattering. "HEY!" A familiar voice shouted. The voices silenced. "Percy? What happened to Annabeth?" Thalia said, walking through the crowd of people. "She…She got hit by a car…" He said, his eyes watering. It was half-true. He didn't say who's car it was. "W-What? Annie wouldn't…she…it's not i-in her…" Thalia said, crumpling to the ground. A teardrop ran down her cheek. "What happened here?" The lifeguard said. "She got hit by a car." One of the club members answered. Sirens blared through the street. Percy silently cheered. He picked her up, bridal style, walking to the ambulance. "She's lost a lot of blood." The man said. Percy continued, but the man stopped him. "Sorry son, you're gonna have to stay here. You can visit her later at the hospital if you like." He said. "Which one?" He asked. "John Hopkins." The man replied. The ambulance left, leaving everyone in silence. Someone finally spoke up. "Come on, Perce. We're going to that hospital." Thalia said quietly. Percy sat in the driver's seat starting up the very car that Annabeth got hit by. They drove to the John Hopkins hospital without a word. They got to the front desk. "Annabeth Chase." They said. "Room 312." The nurse said, obviously bored out of her mind. The two ran to her room. Annabeth was in her room, her parents at her bedside with red, puffy eyes, but strangely, wide smiles. "Ah! You must be Annabeth's friends." The doctor said. "Will she be okay?" Thalia asked. "At first, she lost a lot of blood, but now, she only has a broken ulna and a broken tarsal. So, yes, she will be alright." He smiled. Thalia smiled. So did Percy. The both whooped and hollered in victory.

As they both said goodbye to Annabeth and her parents, they went back to their homes. Percy, feeling better that he knows Annabeth will be alright, thought that in time, maybe he would heal too.

Oh my gosh, what the hell is wrong with me for putting off the Percabeth like that? It's just a roller coaster ride on this chapter isn't it? Well, I hope that you enjoyed this hell of an excuse for a chapter. I've got to go. Bye!
