Kellyn: *Takes one letter and reads it* It's an order form for the Kate and Keith photos.
Kate and Keith: WHAT?!
Mace: Hey, we told you guys you were popular and here's your proof. So Fro got any pics that survived the incinerator?
Fro: *Crying on the floor* MY EMPIRE! MY MONEY! GOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOONE!
Rhythmi: Looks like she's still suffering from the destruction of her pictures, thanks to Keith. By the way where is Isaac?
Isaac: *Voice coming from inside the mountain of letters* Help...me.
Cast: OH MY ARCEUS! ISAAC!
IMN: Don't worry people! We have a hero among us! BAT-ADOS! *Shines a torch revealing a bat over the light on the ceiling*
Snuggle-Buns: *Dressed like Bat-Man and smashes through one of the walls* GYAAAAAAAAA!
Bailey: Why is Snuggle-Buns dressed like that? o.O"
Rosie: It turns out that Snuggle-Buns is a Bat-Man fan for a long time. He wanted to be a Gyarados version of Bat-Man for Halloween, hence 'Bat-Ados'. He loves that costume and refuse to take it off. *Turns towards audience* Hello, just here to tell you that Infusion Masters Nightmare does not own Pokémon or it's characters. Chapter 10: Visiting Day
Normal Pov
It was a few days after the whole Hunter incident. Crawford and the rest of the Vientown Rangers managed to persuade the citizens, students and staff that it was a group of kidnappers trying to capture Keith for money but got Rosie by mistake. The good news is that everyone believed the story and moved on to one of the big events in the school; Visiting Day. Everyone was involved with decorating the school for the families that visited the school once every two months.
"I can't WAIT to see my parents again! It's been so long since I last saw them. I would have forgotten their faces if Mum hadn't sent me a picture every week." exclaimed Rhythmi with joy while cleaning the windows in the halls.
"I know how you feel. I couldn't sleep last night because of the excitement of seeing my grandparents and my little sister." Isaac said while cleaning the windows next to Rhythmi.
"I didn't know you had a little sister Isaac. What's her name?" asked Kellyn while collecting the dust and dirt from the pile Mace swept into the dust pan.
"Her name is Melody and she's eight years old. She's the sweetest little girl you'll ever meet." said Isaac with a smile.
"My sister Remi is eight as well. I'm sure they'll get along great. I really miss my parents, Remi and the pokémon back home." said Kate helping Rosie hang up the decorations on the walls.
"I feel the same way with my little brother. It's been a while since I last talked to him. I can't wait to see him and I hope he brings that girl he liiiiiiikes." giggled Rosie.
"I hear you. I can't wait to have my parents coming here to see me. I'm dying to show them the moves I practiced! JUST YOU WAIT MUM AND DAD, I'LL BE A MASTER OF KICKING BUTT IN NO TIME!" shouted Mace while sweeping ferociously.
"What are you talking about Mace?" asked Isaac.
"Her dad is a pro fighter and her mum is an ex-leader of a motorcycle gang in Johto. They been teaching her and I some fighting moves for a long time." replied Kellyn.
"Wow. That explains the astounding brute strength she has." said Isaac while shaking at the thought of meeting Mace's parents. Meanwhile Keith was on a cleaning frenzy. He was cleaning the halls so much that you could see your reflection everywhere!
"Oh my gosh! Keith this is amazing! I never thought that you would love cleaning." exclaimed Rosie while staring into the spotless floor.
"Keith, I never seen you clean anything since...ever! You must be really excited to see your parents." said Rhythmi looking at her childhood friend.
"Oh yeah! I forgot his parents are Jake and Lucy Adams, the best Top Rangers in the history. Who wouldn't be pumped to see them?" said Mace with a smirk.
"Less talking, more cleaning!" shouted Keith as he raced down the hallways mopping up the halls. Everyone sighed and went back to cleaning for the next hour.
Kate's Pov
"Ow, my body hurts so much." I moaned before collapsing on my bed, exhausted from the intense cleaning that Kincaid made the students do. 'I swear, Kincaid's sole purpose in life is to torture use! ARCEUS, WHY DID YOU MAKE SUCH AN AWFUL HUMAN?!' I thought before being dragged off my comfy bed and into one of the chairs in my dorm in front of Rhythmi's dressing table.
"Kate we can't take a nap now! It's 11 o'clock and our parents would be here in thirty minutes. We have to get ready." lectured Rhythmi before she took out my signature pigtails.
"What are you doing Rhyth?" I asked my room-mate.
"You always wear those pigtails every day. I think it would be nice to change your hair style once in a while. It would impress your parents and Keith if you have a nice hair do." Rhythmi said while grabbing my hair brush.
"What does Keith have to do with changing my hair style?" I asked.
"Nothing! Nothing at all! Ha ha ha! Forget what I said and let's get to work." Rhythmi replied nervously. I decided to let it slide and let Rhythmi have her way with my hair. She brushed my hair in silence for a few minutes before Rhythmi started talking again.
"You know, Keith has changed a lot since you came to school. You may not know this but Keith was distant from most people when we were kids. He was always causing trouble, pulling pranks and being a jerk around people. I kinda knew deep down that he was lonely even with me around." Rhythmi said and I saw in the mirror in front of me that she had a sad smile on her face.
"Why was he lonely? Didn't he have his parents around him as you both grew up?" I asked with confusion. I felt Rhythmi's hand freeze before resuming her brushing.
"His parents are always busy with missions and such. Most of them took very long to complete. Since they're the best Top Rangers the Union has ever had, they get more missions then average rangers. Sometimes they go to a different region for weeks. Keith stays with my family when they go away. I always remember that Keith sat by our front door, waiting for his parents to come home for days. He didn't have his parents for most of his life so when he does see them he wants to impress them no matter what. They're his idols and he wants to be a ranger like them." Rhythmi said in a sad tone.
"That's why Keith was cleaning so much. He wants to impress his parents." I said in understanding.
"Yeah, I just wish that they wouldn't cancel their visit. Keith would be crushed if they do." Rhythmi said before the dorm went into silence again. At 11:25 Rhythmi finished doing my hair and I looked pretty. My hair was straighten but was curled at the tips. I hadn't had a friend decorate my hair in a long time. It really brought back good memories before that day happened.
"Oh my gosh, we've got to hurry! They'll be here any minute!" shouted Rhythmi before we ran out the door and down to the school entrance. When we got outside I saw that there were lots of parents, siblings and pokémon in the courtyard. I felt happy because there was a carefree and joyful atmosphere.
"Guys over here!" shouted Keith with Rosie, Kellyn and Isaac with him. Rhythmi and I walked up to the group with smiles on our faces. We all looked out for our families in the courtyard until we heard a girlish squeal. We turned our heads to see a crowd of girls around the staircase.
"OMA! I can't believe this!" "It's a dream come true!" "It's a miracle! He must be looking for me!" "No! He's looking for me!" "LIAR!" screamed the girls.
"Ladies, ladies please calm down. I've just come to visit someone I care about." said a familiar voice before the girls started screaming again. The crowd parted a little bit to show a boy around fourteen years old. He had green hair and eyes that looked perfect to the tiniest detail. He wore a purple short-sleeved jacket, black long sleeved turtle neck, blue jeans and black boots. He looked so perfect that he could be mistaken for a model.
"WHOA! Is that THE Drew Hayden?! The super famous coordinator from Hoenn! He is HERE, in ALMIA, in OUR SCHOOL!" Rhythmi squealed like a big fan-girl. Something tells me she's a Drew fan. I saw Rosie's face light up like a Christmas tree and she ran at top speed towards the famous boy.
"ANDREEEEEEEEEEW! It is you! You're finally here!" shouted Rosie before she tackled/hugged Drew to the ground. I saw that all the girls that surrounded Drew glared murderously at Rosie as she hugged Drew. Meanwhile from what I heard from them via Mewman ears, let's just say that it's not suitable for children under fifteen.
I saw Rosie dragging Drew over to us with a grin so wide that it would swallow her ears. "Drew these are my friends; Isaac Jones, Rhythmi Heart, Kellyn Alphano, Keith Adams and you already know Big Sister. Everyone I would like you all to meet my little brother Andrew Hayden but he likes to be called Drew." Rosie said while pointing to everyone as she said each name.
"YOU'RE SIBLINGS?!" shouted everyone in shock while Drew, Rosie and I laughed at the faces they made. Priceless! When we were done laughing Drew turned to me and smiled that childish smile I remembered years ago.
"It's great to see you again, Big Sis." Drew said.
"It's great to see you too, Drew." I said while smiling.
"OI! Have any of you punks seen my kid?" said a deep scary voice. We all turned our head to see a man who was six foot five and was covered in muscles and scars. He was bald and had scary tattoos on his neck. He wore a black jacket, dark blue jeans and brown combat boots. He looked like he belonged in a gang with the terrifying glare he gave us. If I was a human I would probably be shaking right now.
"U-Um, s-s-sorry Sir. W-W-W-We don't know w-w-who you are r-r-referring to." whimpered Isaac while shaking at the sight of the man. Everyone was shaken up by the man and his glare except Kellyn. Dragon pride I guess. After Isaac finished talking I swear that the glare intensified by ten hundred times!
"You got something to say boy?" growled the man.
"DADDY!" screamed a voice from the school entrance. We turned our heads to see Mace running at top speed towards the man. The man's horrifying face turned into a happy face that reminded me of a laughing baby.
"ANGEL FIST!" cried the man as he held out his big arms for a hug. Mace ran into his arms and was spun around while being hugged by her so called 'Daddy'.
"Daddy? Angel Fist? This is your father?" asked Keith looking shocked. After Mace was put down by her father, the man let out a belly laugh and smirked at us.
"Fooled you really good didn't I? You should have seen your faces. Kellyn my boy, how are you? How's Chrom doing?" asked Mace's dad. Kellyn shook the man's hand and smiled.
"I'm fine Mr Stevens and Chrom is okay too." said Kellyn with a smile. Mace's dad did a double-take when Kellyn finished talking.
"Mister Stevens?! MISTER STEVENS?! That is what people called my father. Kellyn just call me 'Dad'." said Mace's father while patting Kellyn on the shoulder. Mace had a scared look on her face while looking at her father with worry when he finished that sentence.
"Okay? Why do you want me to call you 'Dad'?" asked Kellyn with confusion. Mace's father was stroking an imaginary beard while smirking at Kellyn.
"Because my boy, I believe that you'll be my-AAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHH!" said Mace's father before Mace wrapped her arms around his stomach and bent over backwards. Was that a Kanto Suplex?! SHE USED A PRO WRESTLING MOVE ON HER FATHER?!
"Not bad Mac-Kayla but NOT GOOD ENOUGH!" shouted her dad before he elbowed Mace's arms and rolled backwards while Mace's let go from the hit to her arms. Mace's father instantly grabbed her and did a wrestling move on his daughter.
"I should have known that this would happen." sighed Kellyn. The others stared at him in shock from this announcement.
"YOU STUPID OLD MAN!" shouted Mace before she kneed her dad in the 'jewels', rolled him on his stomach and pulled his legs towards his head. That looks painful.
"You mean to tell me that this happens ALL THE TIME?!" shouted Drew with horror. Kellyn just sighed and nodded his head in embarrassment.
"We should stop them!" screamed Rhythmi before Kellyn tossed her on his own shoulder and walked off.
"Just walk away. You do not want to interrupt their 'Family Bonding' time. Trust me." Kellyn said while walking away from the scene with an angry blonde girl on his shoulder. I felt two pairs of eyes glaring at Kellyn's back but I just ignored it and followed my cousin. The rest of the gang along with an angry Isaac following behind.
Keith's Pov
After we walked away from Mace's 'Family Bonding' time with her father, we ran into Isaac's grandparents and his little sister Melody. Isaac was right; she really is a sweet little girl. We met Rhythmi's parents and they told embarrassing stories of Rhythmi and I when we were kids. I kinda felt bad for Rhyth because Isaac, aka her best guy friend / big time crush, was listening to every word they said. Kate, Rosie, Kellyn, Isaac, Rhythmi, Drew, Mace (covered with a few bruises but not as bad as her dad after their wrestling match) and I walked around to see if we could find Kate or my parents while the other parents were talking to each other.
"So Kellyn when will you're parents come to visit?" asked Isaac with curiosity. Kellyn gave a weak smile but I could tell it was a fake.
"They won't be visiting this year, they're back in Hoenn." said Kellyn but I knew there was more to the story than what he let on. I suddenly heard a squeal from the stairs. The group turned their heads to see a little girl around eight years old with a Kirlia next to her running towards us. She had light brown hair with a hint of pink tied into long pigtails and was wearing a long sleeve white top, blue skirt, white leggings.
"KAAAAAAAAAAAAAATEE!" shouted the little girl with joy as she ran up to Kate. From the corner of my eye I saw that Kate's face lit up and she ran to hug the little girl along with Fro by her side. Kate hugged the little girl and laughed along with her.
"Remi, I missed you so much, you too Grace!" Kate said while smiling at the girl and the Kirlia. Fro was hugging the Kirlia while dramatically crying tears of joy.
"Are you forgetting someone Kate?" said a male voice. I turned my attention to the voice to see two people and two pokémon walking towards Kate. The man who called Kate was wearing a white dress shirt, black jeans and black shoes. He had the same colour hair and style as Kate but it was shorter. He had brown eyes and a smirk on his face.
The woman next to him had the same colour hair as the little girl but it was let loose. She wore a long sleeve green dress with a white belt around it and she had a smile on her face. There was also an Abomasnow and Gardevoir with them.
"Mum, Dad you're here! It's great to see you both." Kate said as she hugged her parents. Her mother looked over Kate's shoulder and squealed when she saw me. Her mother ran up to me and gave me an Ursaring hug. I thought Mace hugs were bad but Kate's mother takes the biscuit!
"It's so great to finally meet you Keith. I have been looking forward to seeing you for WEEKS! Do you have any idea how stubborn my eldest daughter is when I tried to talk about you?! She gets her stubbornness from her father that girl." rambled Kate's mum as she shook my hand furiously.
"Hey Uncle Albert, long time no see. Why is Aunt Sophia acting hyper? Did she drink too much caffeine again?" asked Kellyn while he giving Kate's Dad a bro hug as he stared at Kate's mother.
"Is it wrong to say 'hello' to my future son-in-law?" asked Kate's mother. The whole gang became silent at that. My face turning the deepest shade of red. WHO WOULD SAY THAT DURING A MEETING WITH YOUR BEST FRIEND'S MOTHER?!
"WHHHHHHHHHHHAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAT?!" shouted everyone in shock. I saw Kate covering her face with her hands. Rhythmi, Remi, Kate's mum and Fro (forgot she was there) were having a fan-girl moment. Isaac, Rosie and Mace stood there frozen with blushes on their faces. Lastly Kellyn, Drew and Kate's dad glared at me with a murderous glint in their eyes and cracking their knuckles. I knew that if I stayed here I would get killed so I did what any other person would do in my situation...RUN FOR MY LIFE!
"GET YOUR ASS BACK HERE ADAMS! WHEN I'M DONE WITH YOUR OWN MOTHER WON'T RECOGNISE YOUR FACE!" shouted Kate's father while chasing me with his Abomasnow, Kellyn, Drew and their pokémon following behind him. Someone, anyone, SAAAAAAAAAAVE ME!
Kate's Pov
"What do you have to say for yourselves?" I demanded at the three idiotic Mewmans that chased Keith for a WHOLE HOUR with their pokémon. They would have used their Mewman powers in public if they hadn't 'accidentally' slipped on some ice that appeared from nowhere (thank you ice type powers). Let's just say that mad doesn't begin to describe how I felt with the actions of my dad, my cousin and Rosie's little brother.
"We're sorry Kate." Drew, Kellyn and my dad said while nursing their sore heads from the whack I gave them for not only chasing Keith but threaten to expose Mewmans in front of people; but now Keith has gone missing.
"Andrew Isebella Grasio Oliver Hayden, I expected better behaviour from you. You can't just chase people and use your pokémon to attack them just because you feel like they deserve it." lectured Rosie while glaring at her brother (well she looks more like a pouting Pachirisu than an angry big sister). I heard some people including Kellyn and my dad sniggering at Drew's full name. Drew just glared at the sniggering people and hissed "Not. One. Word."
"Anyway, where is Keith?" asked Isaac after he calmed down from sniggering.
"He must be hiding somewhere because of Daddy, Kellyn and Mr Drew acting scary." said Remi while holding my hand. I just glared at the three suspects again and made sure it was a very cold look (no pun intended).
"We said we were sorry Kate please don't hate your Daddy!" wailed Dad while trying to hug me but Mum intercepted and put him in a head lock. Knowing Mum she'll be mad about Dad scaring off her future son-in-law. (Not like Keith and I are getting married in the future!) One rule about Mum: DON'T upset her, otherwise all hell will break loose.
"Kate why don't we all split up to find Keith?" asked Mum with a smile on her face while tightening her lock on Dad. Judging from the fact that his face turning blue now was not the time to disagree with her. So Drew with Rosie, Rhythmi with Isaac, Mace with Kellyn, Remi with Mum, Dad and their pokémon and I went with Fro. We all went our separate ways to find Keith.
"Now if I was a red-headed ranger prodigy, where would I be? Hmmmmmm." said Fro before she froze some ice on her head, made it look like spikey and struck a pose that looked like Keith's ranger pose.
"Fro, now is not the time to joke around. We have to find Keith soon. His parents are coming today and we have to find him." I sighing at Fro's actions.
"You're reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally worried about Keith huh? Ooooh, I can't wait to tell Sophia!" Fro said while happily floating in the air. 'What in the name of Arceus is she talking about?' I thought while looking at the pale Froslass. I'm a little bit ticked off because I can't smell his scent from all these people in the school yard. Where are you Keith?
"Are you guys looking for Keith?"asked a familiar voice. I looked down to see the smallest Bidoof in the school also known as my friend Bailey.
"Bailey! Where have you been all this time?" I asked while picking up the young Bidoof.
"I was secretly training myself while helping the pokémon around the school. Sorry I haven't talked to you guys much." said Bailey while rubbing her cheek against mine.
"That's okay. Anyway do you know where Keith went?" I asked the small plump mouse pokémon.
"Well, at first he was at Ascension Square and was panting a lot like he ran a marathon." Bailey said. 'Note to self; lecture Dad some more later' I thought while thinking of ways to punish my Dad for scaring my friend.
"Then he took a strange talking thingy out of his pocket and talked to it. He keeps mentioning 'Dad' during the talk."said Bailey. He must have talked to his dad on the phone he 'got' back from Kincaid; and when I say 'got' I mean took it without Kincaid knowing.
"Lastly Keith looked upset and said 'No it's alright. You're Top Rangers after all, I understand'. He then put the device back in his pocket and ran back to the school." Bailey finished. When Bailey stopped talking I thought back to the conversation that I had with Rhythmi earlier. 'Yeah, I just wish that they wouldn't cancel their visit. Keith would be crushed if they do'.
Before I knew it I was sprinting towards the school building leaving Fro and Bailey behind. Fro will give me an ear-full later for leaving her behind but I need to see Keith. I entered the building and ran into every room Keith might be in. I was disappointed when I didn't find him in the classrooms, the dorms or the library. I was about to lose hope until I looked up at the ceiling. I suddenly knew where Keith was!
I ran back to my dorm and opened the window. I looked around to see if anyone was watching, thankfully no-one was around, and changed into my Mewman form. I flew to the top of the building and saw Keith lying on the roof looking at the clouds in the sky. I turned back into my human form ten feet above the roof and made an AMAZING landing!
"Hey Keith, what's up?" I asked while walking over and lying down next to Keith.
"The sky." answered Keith in an emotionless tone almost like a robot, very unusual for Keith. There then became an awkward silence between us which, once again, was very unusual for Keith.
"I heard from Bailey that your parents can't make it. Sorry about that." I said breaking the silence. Keith just let out a sigh and sat up.
"It's no big deal. I know that my parents are Jake and Lucy Adams. They're just very busy with all their missions. It's nothing." Keith said with a smile but to me it screamed 'LIES'.
"Just because you know it doesn't mean that you should put up with it. You deserve to be with your parents and not sit on some roof looking at other families with an ugly look on your face." I said looking at Keith. He was shocked at what I said but shook off the shock in seconds returning to his emotionless face.
"They're helping people and pokémon all around the world. I can't hold them back and be selfish." Keith said seriously.
"Everyone is selfish, it's basic nature. Keith, time is precious and limited. We all deserve to be with our loved ones until we die. If you keep being quiet and don't tell them how you feel then by the time you come out with it, it's too late to change anything. They're your parents, they love you regardless of the decisions you make. Just think about it." I said smiling at Keith. I didn't want him to make the mistakes I had in the past. Keith looked at me in surprise from my speech.
I leaned onto my shoulders, pressed my hands against the roof and pushed myself up stand. I turned towards the red headed boy with a smile on my face. Keith didn't look at me and was thinking about what I said. I let out a sigh and stepped forward.
"Come on, everyone is waiting for you." I said. Keith looked at me like I just asked a hard Math question.
"Even though your parents aren't here you shouldn't spend the whole time grumbling to yourself on the roof and be alone. So until Visiting Day is over you are officially an Icecia and the first rule about being an Icecia is that we don't leave our family behind!" I said while offering Keith my hand to help him get off the ground (roof, ground-roof? OH YOU KNOW WHAT I MEAN!).
Keith just looked at me for a minute before he burst into laughter. What in the name of Mew is going on?! First he was upset and the next minute he's laughing! Laughing?!
"You're really an odd one Kate. Ha ha! You're so different from most of girls I know." Keith said before gripping my hand and pulled himself up. I felt a smile appear on my face as Keith and I climbed back into my dorm via the window. My heart was beating faster than usual thinking about Keith spending time with my family and I.
Normal Pov, Time 10:16pm
Somewhere in a forest outside Ranger School was a flash of pink light. When the light disappeared there stood two figures in the dark. One looked human but he had Mew ears and a tail, the other figure had blades on it's elbows and head.
In front of them the ground crumbled until a bulky figure taller than the human shadow jumped out of the hole in the ground. There was a bright purple light until the figure separated into two. The bulky figure was still there but now there was a shadow that looked like a monster in the night with parts of his body covered in spikes, long claws and deadly looking tail.
"What's the situation, King?" asked the human shadow with the ears and tail.
"That Ranger dump may look defenceless but it's actually impossible to get in any normal way. There are alarms everywhere and cameras that aren't noticeable to the human eye that cover the place top to bottom. The only way to get in and out without getting caught is using 'Dig' under the building." said the bulky figure.
"The floor in the room is hard wood with a layer of steel underneath the floorboards. The case has 'impenetrable' glass and the only way to open it is to get the key from the principal if you're anyway normal."said the spiked creature.
"Think we can break through them? Remember we don't want to get caught." said the human shadow with the ears and tail.
"A little acid here and we're in the room. Ste and El can cut through the glass easily. The cameras are the real problem though." said the bulky figure.
"Cameras have a mechanism so Arthur can handle it and we can escape by the ocean. Let's go back and tell the others." said the smaller human figure. They were about to walk about until the smaller human stopped and looked at the school. He could practically hear the laughs, cheers and conversations from the building thanks to his special senses. There was something about that place that made his senses go off.
"Is everything alright Master Wes? You seem distant this evening." said the figure with the blades on his body.
"It's nothing to worry about old friend. Let's go back." said the small human figure before the foursome touched the smaller human and in a flash of pink light the figures vanished into the night.
