Unstoppable Force, Irritating Kid
Candlehead had pulled up outside the castle doors. She climbed out and Jack slid himself off the back and the two walked quietly through the door. As they entered, they heard Vanellope talking to Oreanna.
"I don't care what they did to me." she said. "That was then and this is now. You will learn to respect them." Then she noticed Jack and Candlehead. "We'll continue talking later." Oreanna nodded and looked at Jack.
"So you've got new clothes." Oreanna observed. "They're not bad."
"Funny, I don't remember seeing them in the costume room." Vanellope said.
"That's because I made them." Jack said. Vanellope inspected the jacket and hat a little more closely and then took the sword out of the transparent sheath on Jack's back. She looked at it and spun it in her hand a couple times. "Careful. Even when made of candy, a sword isn't a toy." In response, Vanellope spun it even faster, watching for a reaction from Jack. For five seconds there was none, then Jack reached out and grabbed her wrist to stop the spinning and took the sword out of her hand.
"You're no fun." Vanellope said, pouting. Jack glitch-summoned a small mace and handed it to her.
"Go play with this." he said. Vanellope beamed with happiness and went to find something to break.
"You know, that's the most cheerful I've seen her in a while." Oreanna said.
"What about last night after the roster race?" Candlehead asked.
"I meant outside of racing." Oreanna corrected herself.
"I just hate it when kids pout." Jack said. "It makes me feel like a horrible person."
"OW!" Ralph said from outside. He came inside, hopping on one foot. "Whose bright idea was it to give her a mace?" Jack raised his hand. Ralph looked at him curiously. "Who's the new guy?"
"Jack Trader." Jack answered. "I am a new racer. And would you rather it was a blunt, safe mace or a sharp, dangerous sword?"
"Neither." Ralph answered quickly. "She's ten and shouldn't be playing with weapons. You are probably the same age so it's the same for you." Jack glared at him and turned to Oreanna.
"Who is this unintelligent sasquatch?" he asked rudely.
"I'm Wreck-it Ralph." Ralph answered.
"This is the guy who saved this game?" Jack said, glancing at Ralph. "I don't buy it."
"That would be me. And you're a pretentious brat."
"You don't even know what 'pretentious' means, you inflated imbecile!" Oreanna and Candlehead watched as their voices were raised, slowly inching their way to the door.
"What's with all the yelling?" Vanellope asked from outside.
"Jack and Ralph are trading insults." Candlehead answered.
"Untalented weakling!" Ralph yelled.
"Turtle-paced buffoon!" Jack yelled back.
"Hey Stinkbrain, Licorice-head, cool it!" Vanellope yelled over them, but she went ignored. "Well they're not listening. Let's go get some ice cream."
"Shouldn't we do something before they start fighting?" Candlehead asked.
"Nah, Jack isn't that stupid." Vanellope replied. "He should know that Ralph could crush him." Oreanna nodded and the three racers walked out.
(Ten minutes later)
Vanellope walked into the castle with Oreanna and looked around. There were huge holes all over the walls in the throne room. The throne itself was broken down the middle and stuck in the ceiling. The curtains in the back were torn down and spread across the floor in different places. In the middle of it all, Jack and Ralph were sitting down, laughing.
"You're alright, Wreck-it Ralph." Jack said.
"Bake at ya, Jack Trader." Ralph said.
"What the fudge happened here?" Vanellope asked, harshly. They both finally noticed Vanellope and Oreanna standing in the doorway.
"Ralph went too far with one of his insults so I hit him in the face." Jack answered. "He tried to hit me a few times so I dodged and ducked, still hitting him every now and then. One of his hits broke the throne. He finally grabbed me and threw me high in the air. He took the pieces of the throne and threw them at me but missed. We continued fighting until he got a hit on my left arm. It's broken in three places and that's when you walked in." Vanellope was definitely angry.
"I just finished cleaning in here an hour ago." Sour Bill said from the stairs without emotion.
"Don't worry about it." Ralph said. "I'll ask Felix to fix the damages."
"Anyway, we have that picture to take for the roster, right?" Jack asked. He stood up and walked over to the presidential sisters. "How long until the arcade opens?"
"Another hour." Oreanna answered. "Let's get you in front of a camera."
(Another ten minutes later)
"So the camera hates me." Jack said. He looked at the photo of himself in his hand.
"I can't believe it took you thirty shots to get it right." Vanellope said. "How do you break a camera by just standing there?"
"It wasn't my fault." Jack said. "I didn't do anything."
"It had happened the first four times. And only stopped when I said 'Let's try it without breaking the camera.'"
"Would you believe that it's a coincidence?"
"I could... but then you wouldn't owe me four cameras." Vanellope said. "That picture came out really well, though." Jack shrugged, looking at it again. In the picture, he was crouching down with his arms crossed. He also had a serious look on his face. "Anyway, I have to be somewhere. I'll be back before the arcade opens." With that, he handed his picture to Vanellope and jumped out the window.
(At Diet Cola Mountain)
Jack walked through the secret entrance of the mountain and walked over to the pool of diet cola. "Hey, Turbo, you still in there?" he said in a loud whisper. Turbo's hand shootout of the cola and tried to hit Jack, who quickly jumped out of the way. Another one came out and again tried to hit him but missed. The rest of Turbo pulled himself out. He had glowing red eyes instead of the craters that were in it earlier. Jack turned his eyes silver and looked at Turbo. The virus was even more entangled in Turbo's code than before. Sighing, Jack cracked his knuckles and looked at Turbo straight in the red eyes. "I dare you to try that again."
"With pleasure." Turbo said in a deep voice that wasn't his own. He brought down an arm on Jack who dodged and glitch-summoned a fire extinguisher. He sprayed it all over the arm which then hardened and stuck to the ground. Turbo tried pulling it loose but it was no use. Jack jumped on the hardened arm and sprayed the rest of the arm, running along it like a ramp so that he could reach Turbo's face, which he also sprayed. With the majority of Turbo hardened, Jack threw the fire extinguisher on the ground and started to rewrite the code of the diet cola golem.
"Get out of Turbo, Killer Code." Jack ordered. He pulled at the snake virus in Turbo's code until the snake's head was loose. He would have pulled it out more but the rest of the virus was already mixing itself into Turbo's code. He tried to pry the virus, separating the individual bytes of Turbo from the virus.
"Get away from me!" A hissing voice said.
"Then get out of this glob of cola!" Jack ordered. Jack could feel the statue of cola below him get hotter and knew he had to get off immediately. He ran back down the arm and jumped off, just before it finished melting. He ran for the fire extinguisher and aimed it at Turbo, but lowered it when he saw the diet cola golem sink under the surface. Jack was confused at why it had suddenly ran away. About a minute later, Turbo arose out of the pool again and rubbed the back of his head.
"Sorry about that." he said in his normal voice. "As I said, the virus and I are constantly fighting for control and he's gaining the upper hand." Jack nodded slowly, not sure if Turbo was telling the truth. He glitch-summoned a pocket watch and opened it, looking at the time. He had forty-six minutes until the arcade opened.
"Okay, let's get to work." he said. He motioned for Turbo to come closer and Turbo obliged. Jack reached for Turbo's head and began to separate the virus from Turbo's code, byte by byte and bit by bit until he could extract the snake slightly more. "By the way, I have a question. When I first met you, why didn't you continue fighting me?" Turbo thought for a moment, trying to decide whether to answer the question or not.
"I was going to." he finally said. "But I had decided not to when you told me you could help me. So I'm not gonna kill you." Jack smiled.
"You're just going to kill me as soon as I'm done, aren't you?" Turbo laughed.
"I might if I suspect that you're going to take over this game." He answered. "But I don't think you have to worry. So far you are Turbotastic!"
"I'm not even sure how long I'm gonna be staying here. I've gotten into this arcade on accident a while back and I've only revealed myself to everyone a few hours ago. In those hours, I wrecked the throne room, won a race on foot, and broke a few other rules. None of them are in any specific order. I don't think all of them will want me here for long." Most of this went ignored by the diet cola golem as he was fixated on one thing.
"So you're not even from the arcade?" he asked. Jack shook his head. "Wow That's like going Turbo times two." Jack pondered the idea. He hadn't given much thought to what happened to his home after he left. It was in his programming to fight his enemy and nothing else. Suddenly, Turbo felt a jolt of pain going through his whole head and part of his arm. He howled in slight agony, bringing Jack back to reality. He panicked and hurriedly moved some of Turbo's code around.
"Sorry! Small mistake." Jack said. Turbo felt better quickly.
"I thought you were an expert at this kind of thing."
"I never said that. I just said I'd help you. Little mistakes like that will happen often. Usually they wont be painful like that but the virus will be out." For the rest of the time, the two were silent. In about twenty minutes, Jack heard engines outside and ordered Turbo to hide. After he was gone, Jack ran outside and saw Adorabeezle driving away. He quickly ran after her. "How long until opening?" He asked.
"Five minutes." Adorabeezle said. "We're late to meet up with the preheat the starting line." Jack nodded in understanding and took an offroad shortcut.
Okay, you may have noticed some OOC in the last couple of chapters. For some of them, it will make sense later. The others, I will work on keeping them in character. Any questions, I will answer them next chapter.
