The bell dinged on the elevator as it opened into the Malone Family penthouse. The all walked out and paused as Big Daddy and Alvin helped in the newest member of their family into the house. Alvin's new so called twin looked like he was ready to drop and sleep. Tear tracks stained his cheeks as he looked up at the home.
"Let's get him washed up and into bed and we'll go from there." Matches said as he scooped up the boy easily. "Baby Doll, see if you find something for Baby Cakes to wear."
"Okay, Big Daddy. I'll be right back, Tim!"
Both Matches and Rojo helped Tim out of the tight clothing. Freddie came in with a pair of scissors handing them to Big Daddy who took them before carefully cutting off the collar before tossing it away. The rest of the clothes were gathered up by Freddie who took them to the fire tossing them in.
Tim just sat in the shower as he was scrubbed clean silently thankful for the warm water as he closed his eyes. Being here wasn't good considering he knew all about the Malone family. About what Alvin meant by twins. A long time ago Alvin had a twin brother who died in the sex ring. He knew that Alvin wanted him to be his new twin and that the other boy would convince himself that they were twins despite the truth.
The water stopped and Tim looked up before he felt a towel fall on him and soon two sets of hands started to dry him off. Protesting weakly Tim tried to pull away when something was pressed against his lips. A cup of water. Drinking in all Tim asked for something for pain and soon a pill was being pushed passed his lips. Swallowing it Tim drank the second sup of water offered to him.
They helped him up after putting him in a large shirt and boxers and he barely heard Alvin chattering happily about having Tim staying in his room and something else about going out to shop. However he did catch one last glimpse of Matches Malone as he was lifted and set in bed and warm covers were placed over him as the pain pill and sleep took over.
Matches watched as Alvin crawled into bed next to Tim smiling happily at him before looking back at him.
"Big Daddy, he's gonna need more clothes."
"We'll get him some as soon as he's feeling better. Until them why don't you find something for Baby Cakes to wear?"
"Okay!" Alvin hopped off running into the closet. "Big Daddy, do you think he likes black? Because I don't have a lot of black! Most of what I have is white!"
"It'll have to do until we can get his own clothes. Now than Baby Doll I have to go. I have a meeting and will be gone until tonight."
"What?" Alvin came out looking worried. "But… you just got back this morning… a few hours ago."
"I know, Baby Doll. I'll make it up to you boys tomorrow. Now than give Big Daddy a kiss."
Running over Alvin leaned up to kiss his cheek before hugging him tightly. "Be careful, Big Daddy."
"I will, Baby Doll. Have fun with your new brother, alright?" Matches smiled but noticed how Alvin didn't want to let go.
Robin typed in the names of the family that had been killed and pulled up all the places they worked at before finding which blood bank the woman worked at. She didn't go to Tim's school and did take blood there over the last year and a half. He had even been the one to take Tim's blood.
Going over a trail he saw that Tim's blood never made it to the blood bank. In fact it kept vanishing. Frowning he looked other missing bloods form the bank and found that every single one that had gone missing was linked to a missing person's case and that person had been proclaimed after finding substantial amounts of their blood.
Just like Tim's blood.
All that blood and no body.
Frowning Robin got back to work trying not to get his hopes up.
"And here's the kitchen!"
Rojo looked up from his nook. He had been sitting at the island counter on a stool reading when he heard Alvin's voice. He paused looking at Alvin as he walked in wearing some white shorts, a loose white t-shirt, white socks, and his beloved white chocker. He was holding onto Tim's hand with their fingers intertwined and Rojo could see that Al had picked out the same outfit for Tim except it was all black and Tim lacked a chocker.
"Hey, Al, Tim." Rojo said looking at them. "There's food on the stove if you're hungry."
"Yay!" Alvin smiled walking over pulling Tim with him. "Thanks, Rojo!"
A kiss was placed on his cheek as a thank you and Rojo was really surprised when Tim copied Alvin but then he noticed that the new addition to the family seemed to be on auto mode and was only doing what Alvin was doing.
This included what they ate. They got the same thing and sat down next to each other. The both had a glass of soda, both watched the tv that was in the kitchen. Alvin was talking none stop and Tim seemed inclined to listening. After eating Alvin took Tim's hand again to continue the tour.
Hours later Rojo found them both asleep on the couch leaning against each other their hands still connected. For a moment Rojo wondered if maybe Tim was Alvin's long lost twin but that was impossible because his brother's twin was dead.
"Rojo."
Looking up Rojo saw Freddie dressed up in his 'fancy' clothes. "What?"
"Let's go out."
"Out? Where?"
"I hear there's this big old fancy party going on. Lot of rich people gonna be there."
"And why are we going there? Not exactly our kind of people. We should just head to the club."
Rolling his eyes Freddie put his hands on his hips. "Yeah and all you'll do is read your books and I'll dance and attract some asshole. Come on, bro, I really wanna meet a nice guy. Someone who won't cheat on me or ask for a lap dance in the first five minutes I'm talking to him. Plus no offense Rojo but you need a boyfriend or a girlfriend because I swear all you do is read!"
"Hey, reading is awesome! Besides I don't need a lover right now."
"When was the last time you had a lover?"
"Uh…"
"See?! That's my point! Come on, just for a couple of hours."
Rojo looked around to see where Lil Match was but h was nowhere in sight. "Well… fine, but just a two hours and that's it!"
"Sweet! Come on let's go!"
Bruce was in the middle of entertaining some guests with a story about something when Dick gasp and elbowed him saying 'Oh my god, Bruce, look over there!' Turing around he saw Dick's bright blue eyes wide in shock and followed nearly letting his mouth hang open in shock.
There at the top of the stairs was Rojo and Freddie Malone. They somehow got an invitation because they handed it to the man at the door before they were let in. They walked down the stairs both smiling and looking around. Freddie was dressed in what seemed like an attempt to dress nicely because he had on tight black slacks, boots, a sleeveless white top that had a deep V neck showing off his chest. Matching bands on his wrists that said 'Malone' on them.
Rojo had black jeans on, a light blue shirt and a white jean vest on. He looked like he was on his way to go library rather than a high society party and he even brought he nook with him. That boy loved his nook way too much for he rarely parted from it.
They headed straight for food table to look at the snacks hat had been set out. They started to try a few things. Rojo tried to start up a couple conversations but the people ignored them. There was clear hurt on Freddie's face and Rojo looked upset too but not as bad. He must have known that this would happen.
"Bruce?" Dick asked looking at him. "What should we do?"
"I'll talk to Rojo. Anyways he is more socially awkward than Freddie and besides I think we both know why their here."
Grinning Dick crossed his arms. "Freddie's looking for boyfriend. Still why would he look here? Not like they're the most welcoming bunch to people like them."
"Good thing that I now support gay son since he tried to make out with the mayor when drunk."
"Oh my god, Bruce let that go! Haven't I suffered enough?" Dick flushed covering his face. "I swear I'll never drink that much again.
Chuckling Bruce made his way through the crowed carefully making his way over to the two when he saw them separate. Not good. He looked back at Dick who nodded before going the other way to follow Rojo. It was Freddie that had Bruce worried. If anyone hurt the boy's feelings than he would return to Matches Malone in tears and Malone wouldn't stop until he had his revenge.
As hr looked for that bright blonde hair the music started and soon everyone was dancing. Bruce was hoping since this party was to show support of equal rights and same sex marriage in Gotham that whoever Freddie approached would be considerate and used their manners.
However Bruce found Freddie being belittle by a Lord who looked disgusted at Freddie and that the boy looked like a prostitute. That sent a look of pure hurt over Freddie's feature and soon the look of a person ready to kill replaced it and Bruce stepped in just in time.
"Excuse me, Lord Oswalden, but you have no right to talk to anyone like and you certainly not to someone as beautiful as this creature."
The Lord made a face.
Freddie looked shocked.
"Mr. Wayne don't you see how he's dressed?!"
Freddie looked down at himself. To Freddie there was nothing wrong with his clothes. In fact Bruce figured it must have been the best modest clothes the boy owned. Probably the only clothes he owned that covered up that much skin.
"Yes. Very charming. Ah, where are my manners?" Bruce held out his hand to Freddie." Bruce Wayne."
"Freddie Malone," Freddie shook the hand. "Nice ta meet ya."
"A pleasure." Bruce brought the hand up to kiss it. "May I have the pleasure of asking you to dance?"
"Uh…" Freddie glanced around looking for help but lo and behold no Rojo and damn should have brought Lil Match. "Sure, but I don't know how to dance fancy."
"It's fine, I'll lead."
"Alright." Freddie let himself be lead to the dance floor. "So, you're like the Bruce Wayne? You like in like a castle huh?"
"I am that Bruce Wayne and I live witih my family in Wayne Manor."
"Yeah, that castle." Freddie shrugged. "So, is it true what they say about the Castle?"
"Is what true?" Bruce asked calmly.
"That it's hunted."
For a moment Bruce thougth maybe Freddie was joking but soon realized that he was dead serious about Wayne Manor being hunted. The look in his eyes was clearly determined to hear about it. Grinning Bruce chuckled as he lead him around the floor.
"If it hunted than the ghost must be shy because I've never seen them."
"I knew he was lying…" Freddie mumbled looking away to glare at nothing.
"Who was lying?"
"My ex boyfriend said it was hunted and that he had been in there and sawa monster there!" Freddie started to discibe what it looked like when the dance stopped and he looked around. "Wow that was fast. Well thanks Mr. Rich guy. See ya later."
"Wait a moment." Bruce walked over to him.
"Yeah?"
"Your last name. I've heard it somewhere before. Can you tell me your Father's name?"
"Big Daddy's' name is Matches Malone." Freddie said with an air of pride. "Do you know who he is?"
"Yes, I have heard of him." Bruce said nodding. "He's a good father."
That shocked Freddie. His green eyes widened as he mouth fell open. Normally people hear Big Daddy's name and suddenly they were afraid of them or acting nervous, a few screaming that they would call the police or something like that. Titling his head Freddie stared at Mr. Wayne thinking about it.
This was Tim's Daddy. He seemed really nice. Did Tim miss him? But Tim belong with them now and Big Daddy had already given him a pet name. A twin one to match Alvin's which made sense. Walking back over slowly Freddie wondered if maybe Tim's Daddy knew that his son was alive or maybe… maybe Mr. Wayne sold Tim.
Suddenly Bruce's face went from smiling to looking behind Freddie and up at the stair entrance causing Freddie to look up to. Freddie gasped at who was up there.
"Oh shit, I'm in trouble now!" Freddie turned screaming. "Rojo, run!"
The two of them started to run but form the top of the stairs Lil Match took out a small gun and aimed it up into the sky firing twice. People screamed running away but both Freddie and Rojo stopped both frowning, Freddie pouting as they both held up their hands in surrounded.
With a fake dry laugh Lil Match put his gun away. "Did you really think I wouldn't find you? Get your asses in the car."
The two walked back calmly passed the terrified as they trotted up the stairs to the youngest sibling who looked displeased at them. Bruce noted that Lil Match had grown. He must have been just as tall as Alvin now.
"Aw, Lil Match you found us," Freddie smiled hands on his hips."
"It wasn't that hard once he found a stolen invitation envelope laying on your bedroom floor. Rojo, I need to know…" Lil Match sighed trying to be as frustrated he was. "Why. Why did you tag along?"
"There's food here." Rojo stated taking out his nook with a small smile.
"Sure you did." Lil Match grabbed the back of their elbows and shoved them towards the door. "Car. Now."
"Whatever," Freddie waved his hand yawning.
Turning back around Lil Match eyes landed on Bruce Wayne. Walking down the stairs and straight up to the man he looked him over before turning away.
"Forgive my brothers, they can't control themselves."
"Not a problem."
Lil Match turned and left.
Alvin walked down the hallway with Tim right next to him as they ate small cones of ice cream. Al had figured that ice cream would be the best thing to get Tim out of his shell. In fact as he looked over he saw that Tim seemed to be enjoying his ice cream.
As they neared the bedrooms they both stopped at the man bags outside Alvin's room. Half of all the bags where white and the other half of the bags where black and on top of two twin chairs sat two envelpes. One off white one and one off black one.
They looked at each other before running up to them. Alvin opened his first reading it. "To my Baby Doll, as I was going through a few things I noticed that all the clothes you had are form last year so I threw them out and replaced them with all the brand new, latest clothes, shoes, ect, and I hope you have fun because I also left some money so you can go out and have fun. Love, Big Daddy…Aaaaahhhhh! He got me knew clothes!" Alvin squealed running around his pile.
Tim opened his. "I bought you new clothes, Baby Cakes, however I don't know what you like so I based them off of what Alvin likes to wear but I do know you like dark colors there for here is a new collection wardrobe od black. Also I left you some cash so you can go have fun with Alvin. Love, Big Daddy."
"This is so sweet of, Big Daddy?!" Alvin cied opening osme of his things. "Oh, la la la, I look fanatic!"
Trying and failing at smiling a bit Alvin took out a couple of things to wear. He had told them that he remembered anything. All they knew was that he could only remember his name Tim and that was all. It hurt a bit but it was better this way. He rather be dead than let Bruce find out that he killed someone.
"Hey, Tim let's get dressed and go to the Mall! Come on, it'll be fun to go out together!"
"Sure." Tim felt a tug at his lips but no smile came. "Let's go."
They got dressed both of them matching form head to toe. They put on sunglasses to hide the difference in eye color before heading on to the mall. When they got there Tim saw someone working there, selling something and talking to a red headed girl in a wheelchair.
Barbara Gordon the former Bat Girl.
Tim watched her for a moment before turning to leave tugging Alvin along with him. FOr some reason Alvin never wanted their hands to be parted when out in places like this. Why Tim didn't know. They walked around for a while buying things when Alvin's phone went off and Tim had to inwardly groaned at ring tone song. 'It's the Big Daddy song!' Did Alvin make that up himself?!
After a short talk Alvin said that the three of them where going to spend time together at a spa inside the mall. Good thing this was a high class mall. As they entered Tim could feel something wrong in his bones as walked in.
It stayed with the as they greeted Big Daddy who gave them each a hug and a kiss on the cheek which Tim thought was very strange considering how old they were. However TIm couldn't hide the fact that he was enjoying the attention that Big Daddy gave out. It was fair, it was kind and he was always so kind and knowing about what to say and what to do.
Maybe life wouldn't be so bad here.
"Baby Cakes, Baby Doll, come lay down here with Big Daddy! If we have to rest an hour we might as well take a nap as a family!"
"Yeah!" Alvin cheered rushing over in his rode before curling on the bed next to him.
Tim followed sighing softly. "The sheets are so soft..."
Match's got up and covered Alvin who giggled smiling up at him playfully. Matches leaned down to give him a kiss on the forehead telling him to close his eyes and nap. Nodding the grene eyes slid shut and his breathing evened out.
Turning around Matches pulled the blankets up around Tim watching the boy jump and twitch. Leaning down he kissed the boy's forehead gently promising that no harm would come to him as long as Big Daddy's around.
Nodding Tim rolled over not noticing that a part of the sheet and robe had gone down too making Matches stop what he was doing and sat back and looked at the old scar closely. That scar... he knew that scar and how it came to be.
Reaching over Matches covered the scar before kissing Tim's forehead gently one more time letting the boy sleep in peace as he stood up taking out his phone turning it to camera and while Tim was sound a sleep he took a picture.
There should be a Bat who recognized this scar.
Thank you to randomkitty101 for her idea.
thank you to all who reviewed. I'm so tired I fell a sleep twice trying to get this up. Drop a review and let me know if you like it.
ALSO SO WANTS TO SEE ROBIN SEE BOTH ALVIN AND TIM SIDE BY SIDE?!
