Reincarnated

Despite what I had recently gone through, I have decided to continue posting this story on fanfiction. Because of a large amount of PM's and several reviews, I will continue to write this story and post it on this site. While i understand that some readers are being literal, they do not 1) need to post comments in a derogatory manner and 2) should realize that all authors writing fiction choose to use literary license to crate stories. the fact is that vast majority of fiction has elements that alter some elements of fact. I enjoy having reviews, but if any readers find something they don't like, please don't write a comment about it that deteriorates the story. There is no need to humiliate yourself. And another thing, you never want to get an author angry, you may become a character that is majorly punished in a story.

Chapter 8

Hunter led Diana up to the restroom in the building, the sound of the crowd and music fading with each step. He gestured for her to sit on the cloth covered bench across from the room he was entering. The archer stayed silent as she watched him search and find the products he required. He returned to her and began to dampen the tissues he brought with him.

"You know I could have done it myself." She stated to him.

He looked up at her for a second then went back to prepping the medical supplies. "Then what kind of friend would I be?"

She went silent, allowing him to continue with the process. He pulled the bandage out of its packaging and set it aside as he went to the wet tissue.

"This may sting a little." He warned her.

Diana turned her head, telling him to continue. First wiping off the small trail of blood that streamed out of the cut, he moved to the wound. She winced slightly as the peroxide entered her cheek, causing the cut to sting harshly. Hunter quickly removed the makeshift rag from her face, checking to see if she was okay.

The dark brunet waved him off. "It's okay, just a little pain."

With a bit of hesitation, he moved on to cleaning the cut. She bit her lip slightly as Hunter continued. For some reason he was having Deja Vu with this situation, like he had done something similar to it before.

"That was bravely stupid, you know." He said, gaining a slight laugh.

Her response was sound. "I wasn't going to just stand by when I knew she was going to get hurt. I'm surprised you didn't jump in to help her."

"I tried." He nodded. "But she told me that she could handle it and didn't want me involved. I wish I didn't listen to her, you wouldn't have gotten hurt if I got involved."

She rolled her eyes. "I'm fine, trust me."

He placed the band aid over the cut and gently patted it to her skin. "There, all done."

"Thanks." She stood and began to walk down the stairs to join up with Percy. Hunter followed behind her.

They found their date's shortly after in the same area that they had left them. The party was back to normal when Ace had left the building. Lanna was laughing at something Percy had said when Hunter and Diana had walked up to them.

"Oh, Diana." Lanna spoke first. "I'm sorry about Ace, ex-boyfriends are so hard to deal with. Thank you for protecting me, even after how I treated you."

"Don't worry about it." The archer responded.

"Um, would it be okay if I stole a dance from Percy?" the blonde asked with a nervous smile.
Diana motioned for them to go with her head, which they gladly accepted. Hunter stood next to her as they watched them go and breathed a sigh.

"Well, both our dates left without us." He looked to the girl next to him and saw she was giving him a 'really' look. "Might as well make the best of it. May I have this dance?"

He held out his hand to her and she took it after a second of thought. They went into closed position and danced to the slow song that was playing, enjoying every moment of it. In the corner of the room Ayden watched them with a glare, his date rather annoyed at him for ignoring her through the whole night.

They're getting too close. Ayden thought. If I don't stop this soon, my sister will be broken hearted by that seductive hunter. I'll protect you, sister. I will protect you from him.
