I could feel the sun on my eyes I rolled over but hit my head against the wall my bed was against I groaned, and sat up lazily yawning, I stretched my arms and slowly got out of bed, and walked to the kitchen, to get breakfast. I saw a note on the fridge from Kakashi.

Dear Luna,

I had to go do some important things this morning, so I left early, there's cereal in the cupboard, and milk in the fridge, feel free to watch TV, and go look around the village, I suggest you try to find Star, I meet you in training area three at 2:30 for training for your ninja certification.

p.s. Tell Naruto and the others if you see them that there isn't any training today

After I read the note I looked at the clock which read 10:30, I threw away the note and looked for the cereal, which to my surprise was kid's cereal, I figured he would have cereal that was more along the lines of bran, not sugar I got myself a bowl of cereal and milk, and went to go sit on the couch, and watch TV, I flipped through the channels finding mostly infomercials, until I found a sitcom to watch.

I watched TV for about an hour before going upstairs to take a shower and change my clothes, afterwards I left the house and walked down the street. Whistling for Star since she hadn't found us last night, I was walking around for about an hour before heading towards the woods 'I thought I would have found her by now' I thought though the village was huge, and Star could have easily gotten lost, 'I shouldn't have assumed she could find us easily in the first place'.

I went closer to the woods looking around in the brush. "Star!" I yelled looking in the bushes "Star!" I yelled again I heard the bushes rustle and a flash of white, Star jumped out from the bushes and started to jump around my legs, I kneeled down to pet her. "Where have you been?" I asked scratching her ears, the bushes rustled again and, a girl with short black, purple highlighted hair stepped out and looked at me nervously. "A-Ano…" she started, Star ran up to her pawing at her leg excitedly.

"Wow, she really likes you" I said standing up, she looked down blushing mumbling to herself shyly "I'm Luna, I'm new to the village, and that's Star, were you taking care of her?" I asked trying not to be to forward I could tell she was uncomfortable.

'I-I-I'm Hinata…I found h-her here earlier this m-morning…" she stuttered looking up from her bangs slightly. "Well thank you…" I began, I stopped when I noticed the headband around her neck "Oh! You're a ninja like Naruto and the others" I said suddenly, she looked up at me surprised "Y-you know N-Naruto-Kun?" she asked.

"Yeah, him and the rest of team seven, but not very well, are you friends with him?" I asked curious, she looked down again and picked at her fingers. "I-I guess…h-how did you meet Naruto-Kun and the others" she asked quietly. "Well I met them on their last mission which was eventful to say the least" I sighed. "W-what happened?"

"well first, I'm just sittin' in the woods minding my own business then I see these guys walking around and tried to see what they were doing then suddenly a man appears with this huge sword on his back" I said holding my hands far apart. "It was wider than this I think" I was exaggerating slightly, I never got to see it up close.

We sat on the ground while I told Hinata all about the mission while she looked at me with wide eyes, or skeptically when she could tell I was exaggerating, or laughing when I told her something funny that happened. "Do you have any stories Hinata?" I asked her when I finished. "U-um there w-was this onetime a-at the academy…"

"Oh?" I inquired

"I-I don't know if I should tell you…" she stuttered looking down blushing "Aw come on Hinata" I whined, she looked up and mumbled. "Okay…b-but promise me that you d-don't tell Naruto that I told y-y-you." I nodded eagerly, she told me about how they were all in school one morning waiting for class and Naruto started to glare at Sasuke really closely, but someone bumped into him, and caused him and Sasuke to kiss. I started to laugh so hard my face turned red.

"Oh my gosh I wish I was there I would have taken pictures!" I said snickering, Hinata laughed quietly, probably at my reaction, the bushes started to rustle and we both stopped and looked up, two guys our age walked out from the brush, and looked at me suspiciously.

"Hinata you're late for training" one of them said quietly, he had spikey black hair, was wearing round sunglasses, and a high collared shirt. The second was wearing a fur lined hoodie, had sharp eyes and red triangles on his cheeks. Hinata and I stood up she stuttered a 'sorry' to them blushing.

"Sorry I distracted you Hinata…I'll see you later?" I said, she nodded before leaving with her teammates, I picked up Star and held her in my arms. "She's really nice, I see why you like her so much" I said petting her soft ears, she wagged her tail happily, I looked up at the sun to get an idea of what time it was, 'Past noon…Wait a minute! What time did he say I have to be there!?'

"Aw crap! I spent too much time looking for you, then I stopped to talk to Hinata, I going to be late!" I ranted, Star looked at me tiredly and yawned. "Of course you don't care, but I don't want to be late for my first training session, the second fine, but the first no." I looked at around and realized I didn't really have any clue as to where I was. 'I don't even know where I am…maybe I should have thought about it more before making this career decision…' I thought, but no I made my decision, and navigation can be learned, right?

"Maybe if I go the same direction as Hinata and catch up with her she can tell me where it is…" I quickly walked the same direction she went and came into a clearing, I saw Hinata but she was busy training something that looked like it needed intense concentration.

"May I help you?" a woman's voice asked, I jumped slightly and turned to see a very beautiful woman with long black hair and red eyes, she smiled at me kindly. "I need to get to training area…"

'I forgot the number….'

"Six I think"

"Okay, well you see that path over there?" she pointed to a path at the opposite side of the clearing. "You follow that path to the end and you'll come to another clearing like this one and you're there"

"Okay thank you" I gave a quick bow and ran onto the path.

{Kakashi's P.O.V}

'She's late' I thought, it was now 3:30 we were supposed to start about an hour ago but there wasn't any sign of Luna. 'She most likely got lost, she better not have gotten into trouble' I sighed and stood up to go look for her, I walked towards the other training grounds hoping to find her.

"Hey Kakashi" I heard Kurenai greet me as I walked by.

"Hey, have you by any chance seen a girl about thirteen, white hair, blue eyes, probably had a dog with her" she tilted her head in thought

"…Yeah she came here a while ago asking for directions to training area six" I gave her my thanks before leaving, for the training area. 'I can't believe she actually forgot...' I grumbled to myself as I walked along the path.

"GIVE IT ANOTHER HUNDRED PERCENT!" screamed a loud voice, which sounded like Gai, I ignored it and I kept walking towards the training ground, as I entered the clearing, I saw a very exhausted Luna, Gai, and one of his students.

"If I give it another hundred percent I'll pass out!" she said in between deep breaths, her face was red and was beaded with sweat, and her clothes were damp with sweat as well. "Nonsense Luna-Chan if you give it another hundred percent there be nothing to stop you!"

"Well said Lee!"

"Thank you sensei!"

"Kakashi! My rival are you here for another challenge?!" he said in his usual excited voice. "No, just came looking for my student" I said walking towards them, Luna laid on the ground breathing heavily.

"She came here looking for intense training, have you been challenging your students enough Kakashi?!"

"It's her first day…and I pretty sure she came here looking for me…"

"Why didn't you come sooner?" Luna gasped out, she was still breathing heavily.

"Think of the training you did here as reimbursement for being late and not remembering where to go." I said she stared at me blankly.

"I can feel my heartbeat in my eyes…"

"In your eyes?"

"Yeah"

"Time to go home, let's go" I said picking her up, I put her on my back. "Well nice to see you Gai, but we have to go" I said before leaving.

{Luna's P.O.V}

"I'm going to die" I whined as Kakashi set me down on my bed, Star jumped on the bed and licked my sweaty face. "You're not going to die you just need to rest for a little while" Kakashi sighed.

"I see the light…"

"That was the lamp I just turned on, stop being dramatic"

"Kakashi, tell the others I died doing something cool, and tell my mother I love her" I said closing my eyes. "I don't even know your mother and for the last time you're not going to die, just take a nap and you'll be fine"

"You don't have to tell me to take a nap" I said my eyes already getting heavy, I heard Kakashi leave the room and shut the door behind him. "I hope every day isn't going to be like this..." I whispered, Star nuzzled my face, probably telling me to go to sleep. 'I'm going to be really sore later'
