Brick and Jen decided to spend an evening out with each other since Miranda was going to be at the Shortman's house tonight for their project. They didn't always do this, mostly because they have a seven-year-old daughter, but they went out to a bar tonight.
"Brick, are you sure it's okay if we stay here?" Jen asked, a little uneasily.
"It'll be fine," Brick put his arm around his wife, he could do it this time without a slap in the face from the fiery redhead he fell in love with. "Besides, we should go out and have some fun too while Miranda does too."
Jen smiled to him. "Yeah, you're right..."
A waitress with frizzy ginger hair with a loose red hair ribbon came to them, she had a Playboy Bunny type outfit that was red as her eyes with a nametag labeled 'Berserk'. "What'll ya have?"
"I'll take my usual of scotch on the rocks." Brick put in.
"Just a pint of liquor for me." Jen told her drink.
Berserk nodded, then yelled out. "BRAT! SCOTCH AND LIQUOR!"
"Alright, alright, sheesh!" Berserk's sister with golden pigtails and dark blue clothes with the same outfit yelled back.
"Have a seat, folks." the sister named Brute told the couple, wearing a dark emerald green outfit with short, frizzy black hair which made her look like Butch from the Rowdyruff Boys.
Brick and Jen nodded. They went to take their seats. The Powerpunk Girls were summoned by Dr. X a long time ago to dispose of Blossom Utonium, but they never could and since they didn't fulfill his wishes, they never got to go back home in Vilestown. Their father, Opressor Plutonium didn't even bother trying to get them back, he seemed relieved they were gone and appeared to had disowned them. They never even got to pester Bell's counterpart named Bethany Y ever again or her father, Mr. Y. Brat got their drinks together and slid them down the table once Brick and Jen sat down. Brick caught their drinks and decided to sit with the woman he loved very much.
"You okay, ma'am?" Brick asked as he took a sip.
Jen took a sip too, looking into his dark eyes. "I'm fine... Just worried about Miranda... Even if I didn't have them, she has hints of the shadow powers from Mom."
"Probably a hidden gene," Brick shrugged. "I was raised by my mother alone and I really got in touch with my feminine side, but wasn't afraid to face Jo Elliot."
Jen looked ahead with a smirk. "Why don't you go tell her yourself?"
"Yeah?" Brick playfully taunted his wife. "Don't think I won't."
"Well," Jen chuckled. "Here's your chance."
Brick blinked, then looked behind him, getting a little nervous. "Oh, hey, Jo..."
The dark blonde woman looked back with a smirk, she still seemed to wear her sweats, but this time had a headband and looked like she had indeed aged a little with bags under those green eyes. "Nice to see ya guys again, even if I dont' know you that well, Red." she said to Jen.
"Hey, we hung out," Jen shrugged. "I was just busy after school... You know, workin' in the Mall with Caitilin, Nikki, Jonesy, Wyatt, and Jude."
Jo puffed air from her mouth. "That's no real job."
Jen rolled her blue eyes. "Hey, I had to keep myself busy... I wasn't going home that was for sure... Besides, that wasn't even my real home."
"I know how ya feel," Jo said as she gulped down her whiskey. "I knew from the start Sue and Sylvester weren't my real parents... Didn't even bother comin' to the wedding."
"Sorry we had to miss it, we were just busy." Brick said to the jockette.
"Porkin' each other, I know," Jo smirked. "I heard about little Miranda. She looks so much like ya, Red."
"How do you know about her?" Jen asked with a smile, letting the crude comment about what they had been doing for the past eight years slide. "You work in the high school."
"Gym Teacher's association," Jo explained. "We're all tight with each other."
"Maybe someday she could play for you." Brick shrugged with a smile.
"Unless she's a pussy like her daddy." Jo laughed then.
Jen glared at her, her eyes becoming red. "Don't talk about my husband that way!"
Jo laughed, then slapped Jen on the back. "Relax, I'm just kiddin'. How 'bout some pretzals on me?"
"Okay... Just watch it, okay?" Jen smiled.
Jo nodded, then turned to the Powerpunk Bar Maidens. "Yo, Punk Girls, some pretzals for my main squeezes!"
"You got it, Jo!" Brute nodded from afar.
"I'll be right back, guys," Jo stood up. "Gotta 'drain the main vein'."
Jen cringed at Jo's way of communication, but smiled at the tough girl. She had always secretly admired Jo's leadership skills and her take no prisoners attitude.
The door opened when a familiar face came out. She had spiky green hair that seemed to change depending on what light she was in, but she wore a black coat with a red plaid skirt, grey stockings, and black boots and she appeared to be wearing sunglasses. Jen looked back to see who had come in, she looked away briefly, then looked right back. She thought maybe she had been seeing things, she wasn't sure if this was real life or just fantasy.
"You okay, Jenny?" Brick asked his dearly beloved.
"I swear I saw someone I knew..." Jen whispered.
"Was it Mike again?" Brick asked like that was a normal event lately. "I told you, you were just dreaming..."
"N-No, not Mike..." Jen kept looking.
"Just scotch and water please," the woman told Berserk when she came in, then came to the table.
Jen looked to her. "Tuesday X?" she couldn't help but ask.
The womab turned, then removed her sunglasses to reveal shiny aqua colored eyes. "Jen Mavinsky...?"
Tuesday and Jen blinked, then squealed and hugged each other.
Brick looked to his wife and this stranger woman. "You two know each other?"
"Oh, yeah," Jen smiled as she came out of the hug. "Brick, this is Tuesday... I-I remember her..."
"You do?" Brick smiled, he knew that Jen didn't remember a lot about her past due to the tragic happenings for the Mavinsky family that got John and Miranda killed a long time ago.
"We went to school and summer camp together," Tuesday smiled as she remembered. "We were like sisters... Well, of course, Jen had a sister, but I had always wanted one."
Jen chuckled with a smile. "I haven't seen you since fifth grade, wasn't it?"
"Yeah," Tuesday smiled. "What happened to you? Did you move away or something?"
Jen frowned. "Actually Tuesday... Something terrible happened..."
"What happened?" the green-haired woman asked in concern.
Jen started from the beginning and told her old friend all about what had happened for the past decades. She even mentioned how it was too much for Mike and Mike eventually taking her own life.
"Goodness..." Tuesday put a hand to her mouth. "I'm so sorry to hear that..."
"I can't believe you didn't know about it," Jen said to her best friend. "It's a part of Megaville's history these days."
Tuesday sighed. "I haven't been able to pay attention lately... My family's been so busy with other things... Jen, I know you won't tell anyone, like you wouldn't tell any of the other kids my secrets I shared with you and not them... But... I'm a spy."
"Spy?" Brick sounded serious.
"Don't tell anyone!" Tuesday put her hand onto his mouth to shut him up. "I understand you're Jen's husband, but this is important no one knows, SUPERIOR will transport me to the bottom of the ocean!"
"You have a secret base there?" Jen asked.
"No," Tuesday shook her head. "Jen, do you know how my mom had weird stuff like exploding hair dryers?"
Jen paused to think, then remembered and nodded her head.
"Well, that was a plasma cannon, we have all sorts of spy technology," Tuesday explained. "I'm from a spy family. Our enemies are SNAFU, led by the evil Glowface... I've been trying to get away ever since, I've begged to be a normal teenager, you don't know how bad I wanted to be like you, Jen. Have a normal family..."
"Well, depends on what you mean by normal," Jen chuckled slightly, due to her heritage.
Tuesday rolled her eyes. "You know what I mean... At least at my slumber party without you and Skipper, Anastasia, and Kimla I was able to protect our family secret."
"You had a slumber party without me?" Jen sounded heartbroken.
"I had no choice, Mom picked those girls at random, but let me look at their dossiers," Tuesday explained. "She made me have a slumber party... I didn't even want one... Unless you were involved, you were my ONLY friend."
"Only friend?" Jen sounded touched. "Oh, come on, Tuesday..."
"You never made fun of my hair, you never thought I was a freak, you always helped me out, you were like the sister I always wanted..." Tuesday smiled sadly. "I'll save my brother's life and everything, but if he does something stupid, I have a hard time forgiving him for it..."
"Little brothers, huh?" Jen shrugged slightly.
"Sometimes I wish I had a little brother." Brick spoke up.
"Want one?" Tuesday asked with a chuckle. "I'll rent you Truman for free."
Jen laughed too, smiling. "It's great to see you again, Tuesday..."
Tuesday smiled back. "Great to see you too... We should meet up since we live in the same town still... Can't believe we didn't see each other before... I must've been in disguise when you went to the grocery store or something."
"Maybe," Brick smiled. "You should come over sometime and meet little Miranda."
"Little Miranda?" Tuesday asked.
"Our daughter," Jen informed. "She's seven-years-old now and just started public school."
"Seven-years-old?" Tuesday felt old. "Now I know it's been a while... You sure you didn't adopt her?"
"Um, I was there, Tuesday, I think I would know if my daughter was adopted or not." Brick laughed a little.
Tuesday laughed too. "I'd love to have a child... But... I'm afraid I'm too busy for a relationship," she said, then her wrist went off. "Aw, crap... I gotta go. We'll talk later, okay?"
"Here, give me your number." Jen said as she took out her cell phone.
Tuesday and Jen quickly exchanged numbers, then hugged one last time and Tuesday went away.
Jen smiled. "I really missed that girl..."
"I think she missed you too." Brick smiled, gently patting her shoulder.
Jo came back then, wiping her forehead.
"What took you so long?" Brick looked back at her. "Now I know you're a girl becuase you took forever in the bathroom."
Jo let out a forced laugh. "Too many women hitting on me and asking me why some guy was in the ladies room. I'm obviously a lady!"
"Was Lightning in there by any chance?" Brick deadpanned.
"I think he was," Jo scoffed. "Besides, he's married."
"Lightning got married?" Jen asked like that was the craziest thing she had heard all night.
"Yeah, he married Courtney," Jo explained. "They have a daughter in private school named Ruby or Gem, something like that..."
"At least he and Scott aren't a partnership anymore," Brick spoke up. "Luckily, I heard that Jade married him and they have their own daughter named Audrey."
"Jade?" Jen asked.
"Dexter and Dee Dee's cousin from Texas," Jo replied. "She looks so much like their mother. I think her mother and their mother are sisters or something."
Jen shrugged. "We could ask... Maybe arrange playdate."
"So, Jen, are you married?" Brick asked.
"Yeah, I finally got tied down, late night though, so I decided to come out and get some company," Jo smiled. "Hopefully we'll find someway to get a child."
"What's stopping you?" Jen asked.
"Personal reasons." Jo said, not revealing too much, a bit too shy to tell them, even if she was open about her marriage to almost anyone else.
After a while, Brick and Jen decided to get home so if Miranda would call them they would know. Jo left a little afterwards, then looked around and looked ahead to the beauty salon with a smile.
"Sorry I had to be so late, Jo." Justine said to the woman.
"That's okay, babe, I know you're just doing your job." Jo kissed the other woman, and then they went home together.
