Ok this is a super super super short chapter but I wanted to update for you guys because you deserve it.

Zach POV

Cammie.

She was all I could think about. Not that it was and, this time, I didn't mind. We were on good terms, at least I hoped we were. I didn't really want to get ahead of myself, but it's hard not to do in the area of Cammie. I mean, I've known her for over 10 years. She used to be my rock, and I used to be hers. Until I messed everything up.

Anyways, when I got home from the great night with Cammie I couldn't stop smiling. Austin even called me out on it.

"I hung out with Cammie." I said without thinking about their relationship.

"Really bro? You're going to swoop in and take her away from me?"

"I had her first!" I said, not understanding why I was getting defensive over her. We were just friends, I didn't want to jeopardize that, "And you're just going to drop her and break her heart."

"Fuck you."

Great comeback. Not. "Dude, she's just my friend."

"Whatever bro. You can't compete with this anyways."

"Is that a challenge?" I am furious.

"If you want it to be, Goode."

"Fine. I can take you any day."

"Alright whoever gets to Cammie first wins."

"It's on." What have I just gotten myself into?

"You're an idiot," said Connor after I told him what happened.

I sighed, "What do I do?"

"Well you can't back down, Austin won't stop being a douche if you don't put him in his place," Connor knew Austin from high school so his advice seemed pretty valid, "And I mean you like her, right? So why not use this a push in the right direction."

"What? I don't-"

"Yeah you do Goode. You may be able to lie to yourself but you can't lie to me- I watch too many reality TV shows."

Did I like Cammie? I didn't want to because I didn't want to ruin our friendship, but I guess I did, "You're right Connor."

"What?"

I smile, "You're right Connor and you're going to help me win over Cammie."
