Sorry I haven't updated, some stuff has happened so I didn't really feel it. Sorry I can't respond to the reviews tonight, here's the chapter. The songs are "That's what you get" by Paramore and "Welcome to my life" by Simple Plan.

Mitchie's POV
Okay so I didn't go back in there. At the last moment I walked away. I could tell that Alex didn't like that, but she didn't say anything. Days went on, and Dallas didn't leave. She'd show up everyday and everyday I'd avoid her. She knew it, she had to to be so persistant. I don't think she'd be trying this hard if she didn't think I was her sister. It was fine with me for the moment. Alex tells me I'll have to talk to her eventually but I don't think I'm ready yet. In the meantime Alex and I had gotten more into music than we had ever been before; we put together a band. We didn't have a name yet, but we had some songs written out. Most of it was lyrics and music, but we had some music that doesn't have any lyrics yet, but I'm sure something will come up. The band consisted of me on guitar and lead vocalist, Alex on drums and Miley on keyboard and Max on base. Miley was one of Alex's closest friends. Their closer than Caitlyn and I but not as close as Alex and I of course. Alex met her beginning of freshman year. Miley was like Alexs double. Not in looks, in personality, only to more of an extreme. Alex and Mitchie were the two biggest rebels in the school, Miley behaved worse, but Alex got caught a lot less. I didn't really approve of their friendship at first because Miley is clearly a horrible influence on Alex. Now don't get me wrong, Miley is cool and she can be a great friend when she wants to be, and I do like her, but Selena and Demi are a bit more hesitant about the whole thing. Max is a freshman who was getting picked on the beginning of this year and so Alex helped him out. Then the two sorta clicked and now he's like our little brother .
I'm kind of excited because we have our first gig at Ruzzoni's Pizzeria tomorrow night. We've been rehearsing non-stop, in fact, that's where we are right now.

That's what you get
When you let your heart win, whoa
That's what you get
When you let your heart win, whoa

Now I can't trust myself
With anything like this
And that's what you get
When you let your heart win, whoa
I finished singing the last note as everyone stopped. I looked around and smiled at my bandmates.
"Was that awesome or what!?" Max exclaimed cuasing us to laugh.
"Yeah it sure was Maxie" Alex told him standing up and ruffling his hair.
"We're totally gonna kill it tomorrow night" Miley added in and I felt myself smiling wide. I couldn't wait. This is something I've always dreamed of doing. Playing my own music on stage. I just wanted to feel that rush I've heard so much about. I mean I find immense joy just in practicing. My smile faded a little when I remembered something.
"But wait, What are we gonna call ourselves?" I asked everyone else. We all looked at each other.
"Do we really have to think about that now?" Alex asked.
"Yeah dumbass, we can't exactly go up there and say we're nameless." Miley told her and I rolled my eyes at her choice of words.
"Wait.." I said as I thought about it. "Nameless. I think that sort of has a ring to it" Everyone thought about it for a minute before it was settled.
"Alright, Nameless it is" Alex said after everyone agreeing.
"You're just agreeing because your too lazy to actually think one up aren't you?" I questioned her and she looked away.
"Maybe" She said dragging the word out. I rolled my eyes playfully laughing at her.
"Whatever. Let's all just go home and get some rest, big day tomorrow" I told everyone and we packed up our instruments. We were in Miley's garage for practice seeing as how it had everything we needed.
"Mom said she'll be here in five" Alex told me holding up her cell. I have been living with the Russos now. I nodded before walking outside into the cool night air to wait for Selena and Demi.
Alex's POV
I watched as Alex walked into her first hour before turning and heading down the opposite hall way. I turned the corner and ran into Dallas. I sighed as I watched her walk up to me. We have been exchanging a few words every now and then. Mitchie didn't know, and I'm not sure she'd be so happy to find out.
"Please tell me she's letting up" She asked as soon as I was in hearing range.
"I don't know Dallas. She's stubborn and has those walls up. She's been hurt by her family, I don't think she could handle you doing the same thing."
"But I would never hurt her."
"She doesn't know that. She knows nothing about you, you can't expect her to trust you just because you say you're here for her. You can't just say it, you need to show it." She looked down sadly and I my heart went out for her. All she wanted was a family, and Mitchie was her last resort.
"You know, you can find her night at Ruzzoni's at 7" I told her and she seemed to brighten up a little.
"Thanks" She said as I just shrugged before heading to class. School dragged on slowly like I knew it would. At lunch Mitchie and I went outside like we always did and I scarfed my lunch before joining my team mates out on the field. Of course there wasn't enough time at lunch to play a full soccer game with everyone wanting to eat and hang with their friends but we did some drills and a little back and forth with the ball while Mitchie watched. Miley was on the soccer team too. It's how we met. It became ritual for me to kick the ball whenever I was down and she found me on the field.

I can't believe she chose her over me! I thought as I ran with the ball like I always did. Momma had gotten mad at me the last time I did this because she doesn't want me skipping, but it's what I need. It's my outlet. Mitchie and I have been planning out tomorrow for weeks and today she just called it off to spend some time with Caitlyn. Of all people! She knows I hate her and she cancels OUR plans for HER!? I angrily kicked the ball and watched as someone dived to the ground to avoid being hit.
"Whoa, talk about killer balls." The girl said as she started getting to her feet. I don't know why, but I found that funny. Though I didn't feel like laughing, I found myself smiling.
"You okay?" I aksed and she nodded brushing off her front.
"That depends, were you trying to hit me?" I could tell she wasnt being serious because she couldn't hold back a smile.
"Maybe.." I said in mock admittance. Her eyes went wide.
"Oh, well then no, I'm not" She said as she started holding her arm. "I'm severely injured, I've been hit!" She exclaimed and I finally let out a laugh. The brunette joined me and came closer.
"I'm Miley" The blue eyed girl said extending her hand which I took.
"Alex"

I smiled at the memory. Not counting Mitchie, Miley's my best friend. Mitchie will always come first, but Miley's a close second. We finished up our mini match just as the bell rang. I went back to Mitchie who was in conversation with Caitlyn.
"Sorry, I can't. I have cheerleading" The curly haired brunette said apologetically. I rolled my eyes in annoyance. Caitlyn was on the cheer squad, and truth be told, I'm not a big fan of cheerleaders.
"Oh, that's okay, I understand." Mitchie told her and I could tell she was disappointed but Caitlyn was completely oblivious.
"Thanks Mitch, I promise I'll make your next one" She said hugging her before running off. I put my arm around my best friend in a comforting manner.
"It's okay Mitch, You don't need her to live your dream" I told her and she nodded a bit sadly.
"I guess. I just wish I could have someone that would always be there to cheer me on no matter what" She told me. I gasped and put my hand to my chest feigning offense.
"And what am I? chop liver?" I asked and she laughed.
"No, Alex, that's not what I meant and you know it" she said and I chuckled. "but... I don't know, it just kind of gets to me when I see everyone else has their family their to always support them in everything they do, and mine couldn't even do the decency of sticking around to at least pretend they care for me." I pulled her into a hug with my chin on her head.
"I know Mitch, but like I said, you have me, and you know you have my parents. You don't need them either. They would have to be pretty retarded to leave you behind, so in my opinion, they aren't worth your time" I said before planting a kiss on her head. "Come on, we're already late for class" I told her and she nodded as we walked back into the school.
Mitchie's POV
Alex and I piled into her parents car after school let out. Ever since that incident with that one paparazzi guy, we are to either be picked up everyday, or ride the bus. We didn't really argue, that creep was walking around, I'm pretty sure he's just waiting for the perfect moment to harass us again. And in case you're wondering, no my ankle's not completely healed. I have to wear a brace which is why I've been wearing shorts. I didn't feel like try get my jeans on with the stupid thing on my foot. Luckily it hasn't really been giving me any trouble and Alex has been making sure I take my medicine and follow the doctors orders.
When we got home, Alex and I went up to her room to finish up our homework before meeting with the band. I plopped down on the bed and laid down spreading my arms and legs out dramatically.
"Ahh Finally, home at last" I said as Alex chuckled. She grabbed a pillow before lifting my leg and putting the pillow under.
"Don't give me that look. You're gonna be on it for a while later tonight, and the doctor said you need to elevate it every now and then." She said when I started pouting. I rolled my eyes feeling like I had been doing that a lot lately. We got to work and before we knew it Selena and Demi were calling us down for dinner.
"So you girls excited for tonight?" Demi asked us.
"Definitely" Alex said as I just nodded.
"Nervous?" Selena asked.
"Definitely" I said the same way Alex had and we laughed.
"Don't worry, the first time is always the most nerve racking, but it's also the best feeling in the world, if you're really passionate about your music." Demi told us. We both knew that she was for a fact. Alex and I have listened to all their songs over and over. We loved them so much and we couldn't believe that it they were the ones who recorded them. It was almost unbeleivable.
"You two are coming right?" I asked a little hesitantly. I really wanted them to come but If they couldn't I just needed to learn to get over it.
"Of course. We wouldn't miss it for the world" Selena told us with a smile as Demi agreed.
We hurried to finish eating so we could run upstairs and get ready. Alex let me use her shower while she went to use the guest bathroom's shower, then I straightened her hair and she curled my hair slightly and brushed my bangs to the side in a stylish way. (A/N Think of Alex when she sang Make It Happen on WOWP and Demi in the music video for get back). I glanced at the clock noticing that we needed to hurry, I called to Alex that we had to go. We got our shoes on and I grabbed my electric guitar and amp while Alex got her drumsticks. We barely hit the bottom step when there was Alex's cell rang.
"That's gotta be Miley." I said as she checked her texts.
"Yep, she's out front." Alex infromed me. "Mother! We're leaving!" Alex called out and her parents came out from the kitchen and gave us each a hug.
"Okay, we'll be there in a bit. We love you" Selena told us.
"We love you too" Alex called back answering for both of us.
"Bye" We said in unison before running out to jump in Miley's jeep.

The four of us set up our equipment, preparing for our set. There were already quite a few people in here. There was still an hour before we were even supposed to play, but I guess word got out that Selena and Demi's daughter was playing tonight. I was tuning my guitar when I felt someone tap me on the shoulder.
Alex's POV
I was helping Max with the wiring and stuff for the amps and electrical equpment. He was a wizard when it came to any kind of devices.
"Okay, so just-" I stopped listening to Max when I heard a small yelp. It was quiet enough that I shouldn't have even heard it but by some miracle I did. I turned around and spotted Mitchie with her staring wide eyed and fearfully at whoever she was talking to. I immediately got up and when I got closer, I felt my blood boil when I saw who it was. I was ready to storm up to him and punch him in the face when I decided that wouldn't be the best Idea, so instead I found the manager.
"Hey, you guys ready for tonight?" Mr. Lundberg asked me once I got his attention.
"Well sorta, you see that guy over there talking to our singer?" I asked and he nodded. "Is there anyway you can kick him out? He's hurt Mitchie before and I don't want him to start something here. Mr. Lundberg nodded.
"Of course." He walked up to him and said a few words before the sleeze gave me a cold hard glare and stomped out of the resturant.
"Thanks" I told the manager before walking over to Mitchie.
"You okay?" I asked pulling her into a hug and realizing she was shaking.
"Um" She swallowed. "I- I will be. Don't worry" She tried to assure me.
"Did you take your medicine?" I asked and she shook her head.
"I f-forgot it she said still trembling.
"Don't worry" I told her grabbing my backpack I had with me and digging into one of the smaller pockets. "I didn't" I smiled as I pulled them out. She looked a bit relieved as I handed her the bottle. I went and got her a glass of water and she took the pill that helped calm her down. She was drinking the water when something caught her eye.
"What is She doing here!?" She whisper yelled to me. I turned around and spotted Dallas entering the restaurant and taking a seat.
"Mitchie, it's a public place and there are sorta posters around, I'm sure she heard about it somewhere." Mitchie eyed me suspiciously.
"You told her didn't you!" She accused and I looked away for a split second. "I knew it! Alex, how could you!?"
"Mitch, she's your-"
"Don't you dare say sister. We don't know that."
"Yes we do! I don't understand why you're so upset about this. There's no doubt in my mind that she's your sister and that she's only here to help you. She's been looking all over for you, doesn't that mean anything?" Mitchie turned around and stormed into the restroom. I sighed knowing I should just let her cool off and went back to help Max.
About ten minutes later, Mitchie came out of the restroom and I could tell she'd splashed some water on her face before reapplying her make up. She looked like she was going to head back here but then she saw something else that she found more interesting. I watched as she walked up to my parents with a smile as they came in. I finished what I was doing before joining them. We had a small conversation before it was time for us to go up there. I was about to go but then I noticed Mitchie wasn't following. I spotted her talking to Dallas. She looked pissed off and I could tell whatever Dallas said, it was the wrong move. Mitchie stuck her finger in Dallas' face before swiftly turning around and marching up to the small stage. I quickened my pace to get to my seat behind the drums. Mitchie marched up to me and handed me a paper. It was a music sheet for one of the songs we had been writing that didn't have lyrics yet.
"Change of plans" She said making sure everyone was looking at the same sheet. "Instead of 'Open' we're doing this one."
"But, Mitch, we don't have any lyrics" I told her.
"But I do, just follow my lead. She positioned her guitar and took out a notebook from her own bag. She opened it to a page towards the front of her songbook.
"1, 2, 3!" She counted it off and we started following the sheet. We had played the music quite a few times before so we were able to do well. Mitchie started singing as soon as the music started.
"Do you ever feel like breaking down?
Do you ever feel out of place,
Like somehow you just don't belong
And no one understands you?
Do you ever wanna run away?
Do you lock yourself in your room
With the radio on turned up so loud
That no one hears you're screaming?

No, you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No, you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life"

She looked straight to Dallas as she sang the lyrics with a certain passion about them. It was obvious she was pissed and this is how she was showing her that.

"Do you wanna be somebody else?
Are you sick of feeling so left out?
Are you desperate to find something more
Before your life is over?
Are you stuck inside a world you hate?
Are you sick of everyone around?
With their big fake smiles and stupid lies
While deep inside you're bleeding

No, you don't know what it's like
When nothing feels all right
You don't know what it's like
To be like me

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life

No one ever lied straight to your face
And no one ever stabbed you in the back
You might think I'm happy but I'm not gonna be okay
Everybody always gave you what you wanted
You never had to work it was always there
You don't know what it's like, what it's like

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No, you don't know what it's like (What it's like)

To be hurt
To feel lost
To be left out in the dark
To be kicked when you're down
To feel like you've been pushed around
To be on the edge of breaking down
And no one's there to save you
No, you don't know what it's like
Welcome to my life
Welcome to my life
Welcome to my life"
