"Quentin! We left Vicki's body in one of the rooms, what if she wakes up and tries to do something?" Carolyn whispered as they came to the front door of the house. "Should we find her?" Quentin asked and received a look from Carolyn as if he were to be the dumbest person she ever witnessed. "Should we find her? Should we find her! Should we find her, my ass, yes we should find her!" Carolyn flared her arms and Quentin held his up in an act of surrender. "I'll find her, I will be quicker" Quentin said and with that, he took back in the house with his super speed and using his scenes to find the one and only, Victoria Winters.
"Hey, look! It's Cassandra and she's live right now!" Angel exclaimed as she watched the little video on her phone, causing the rest of the group to crowd her phone. "She's really pretty" Sarah sang. "You do realize it's the same woman that tried to kill your brother today" Brooke said with a gutted look on her face. "Yeah but I believe she has changed. That's what Josette always told me" Sarah smirked. "Who's Josette?" Angel asked but before Sarah could fulfill her wonder, Quentin came out with an awoken Victoria.
"Mom!" Brooke shouted, a bit frightened for her mothers health for they are under the sun. "I'm fine" She smiled but that soon was removed when she narrowed her eyes to Carolyn, just as Vicki was about to make a move on Carolyn, Elizabeth, Barnabas and Nicholas came out of the house.
"Victoria!" Barnabas shouted as he ran over to hug her, exposing a rather worried Nicholas as his head wandered around, that is, until he met eyes with Carolyn. "Don't worry, she's fine" Carolyn mouthed to Nicholas seeing as he was worried for he could not see Angelique, but that didn't seem to calm down anything as he walked over to Carolyn. "She was supposed to stay here!" He whisper shouted to Carolyn, leaving Quentin to eavesdrop.
"Chill big bro, she's just at an interview" Carolyn muttered. "No, she was not supposed to leave. I suggest we go to the location of her whereabouts" Nicholas said, shouting the end of his sentence which made Angel's head perk up, earning an eye roll from Carolyn.
"No, Nicholas. Angelique is a fully grown woman and she knows very well where she stands and will stop at nothing to get what she wants, meaning she is capable to be places without you, you just need to give into that trust of trusting her" Quentin dropped into the conversation between Nicholas and Carolyn, earning looks from Barnabas, Elizabeth and Victoria.
"You don't get it Quentin. Ever since Angelique has been back from the dead, she has become more vulnerable than before, she has dug up some depths and one simple step out of line can send her back to the very dark place she once was in. That's why I am always concerned for her because, as her brother, I do worry for the coincidences of the specific actions she does" Nicholas hissed at Quentin.
"She is very smart, she is not that stupid to follow the path she was once in, Nicholas. You need to see the bigger picture here, stop guarding her and let her live the life she was supposed to live those many decades ago" Quentin said and Barnabas couldn't help but feel a bit guilty for he knew that he was the one causing Angelique the pain she had been feeling.
"Okay, stop. We get it, get over it" Carolyn huffed.
-1 hour later because I have no idea what to write (Time: 6:30)-
Angelique and Ashley had just arrived back at the house and just as expected, the cars were no longer in their positions, but that didn't mean the remainders were gone.
Angelique made her way over to the grand door with Ashley sitting on her left hip, fiddling with the door knob and as soon as she opened it, she noticed the presence that settled in her house, although they were familiar, she could not pinpoint her finger on it and she could tell it was not just Carolyn, Quentin and Nicholas' presences she was feeling.
Of to a weird start, she absentmindedly wandered into the main room which held the location of everyone she was dreading to face and she put Ashley down.
"Welcome back, sister" Nicholas greeted but his eyes never left the ground. As if the silence had grown even more, Barnabas stood up which led to accidentally knocking over a few objects close to him but that didn't really startle the vampire, seeing as he was more curious about the little girl with black hair and blue eyes that stood next to the witch that had caused him hell for so many decades.
"Nicholas, I wish to speak with you" Angelique said with piercing eyes as she grabbed Ashley's hand and was followed by Nicholas who still had his head hanging. "Why are they here!" Angelique hissed when they entered another room. "We think it is the appropriate for you to tell Barnabas about Ashley, he deserves it and it is best to hear it coming from you" Nicholas said shamefully. "Tell him? Excuse me but do you know what will happen if I tell him? I have not faced Barnabas since my said death, Nicholas" Angelique said as she paced the room.
"We know that Angie but you are a changed woman and surely he will be able to see that, you can do this" Nicholas encouraged which only resulted into Angelique rolling her eyes. "Fine, but you can send him in" She hissed and Nicholas was out of the room in a blind of an eye.
A few minutes later, Barnabas entered the room.
"Why are you here" Barnabas automatically started with the questions. "Hush, Barnabas. I believe it is my chance to be asking the questions under this roof" Angelique automatically reacted. "Now, why is it that you are here?" Angelique asked, empathizing the word 'you'.
"Well, for starters, you did take my wife" Barnabas retaliated. "No more games, Barnabas. Why are you actually here, you got your little vampire back. You should have left long before I returned" Angelique said, scrolling over to the desk located in the room and scrapped her red nails on it before deciding to sit down. "I know there is a question deep inside of you that you have been longing to ask" Angelique spoke again seeing as Barnabas was thinking.
"Who is the father of Ashley?" Barnabas asked straight away which actually surprised Angelique. "Barnabas, don't make this more awkward than it already is" Angelique said, trying to avoid the question but Barnabas only repeated himself and he was not going to stop until he heard her say the answer because he very well knew who the father was.
"And I thought you were smarter than this, Barnabas. The minute you laid eyes on Ashley you knew she was her daughter" Angelique breathed. "Why did you not tell me!" Barnabas raised his voice. "Why would I? Angelique said, very aware of his emotions right now but Barnabas did not scare her, for she could turn him into dust with a click of her fingers.
"Maybe because, I don't know, I'm the father of the child and I haven't known of her existence until today? You know, parenting isn't supposed to go this way" Barnabas growled under his breath. "And so what? What if I didn't tell you? Did you really expect me to tell you after you thought I was dead? No! It was better off like that anyways, you would have taken her away from me the minute you knew about her. You, of all people, would never have trusted me with a child" Angelique said, her eyes growing big as she feared she had just given him the idea of doing so.
"Who knows, maybe I will" Barnabas said in a hush voice which brought Angelique onto the verge of tears, which resulted in the lights flickering on and off in the house and furniture being knocked around as she picked up Ashley and disappeared.
A few minutes later, Nicholas and Carolyn entered the room to find Barnabas staring at the ground and Angelique to be gone. "What did you do.." Carolyn shook her head.
