"Love…" Whispered Tsuna.
Suddenly a wave of memories strikes Tsuna's mind. The memories where Giotto successfully makes Tsuna's heart throb like crazy, when he feels like the world is on his side when Giotto gives him a warm smile. Endless memories come to his mind, even when Giotto saved him from a dog that tried to bite him, and ended up with Giotto getting bitten.
'Love… Is this love?'
Tears start to flow down Tsuna's cheeks.

"Love…?" Tsuna is now staring at his room's white ceiling while sometimes muttering the word that's been haunting him since he realized that the feeling inside him all along is… Love. Tsuna chuckled in agony because the reason that made him realize it is some soap drama. But, maybe he should be grateful for that. He sighed deeply and grabbed one of his pillows, burying his head into the soft material. But there is also guilt haunting him, he never realized that this kind of love is… sweet but also hurting him and his brother.

'I'm sorry Gio-nii…'

"I'm home." From the moment when Tsuna's ears catch that voice, a small smile blooms on his face. It's his brother – Giotto has finally come home from college. Not long after, Giotto appeared from behind the couch where Tsuna is sitting now and hugs the little one with affection. Tsuna flinched a bit at the sudden action.
"Gi-Gio-nii?"
"I'm home, Tsuna." Giotto placed a soft peck on Tsuna's cheek which makes the brunette blush. The blonde chuckled and pats Tsuna's head before he circling the couch to get closer to his beloved brother. With a heavy sigh, Giotto put down his bag on the floor and took a seat next to Tsuna while watching the anime currently playing on TV.
"By the way, where's mom?"
"Out, shopping."
"Hmm…" Giotto's attention is back on the TV's screen in front of him, a small smile can be seen from his gorgeous face when he finds himself enjoying the sports themed anime. On the other side, Tsuna suddenly finds himself staring at his brother with a blush staining his cheeks and no longer paying attention to his favorite anime. Since Tsuna realized that the 'love' inside him is no ordinary love for a sibling – Tsuna finds it kind of hard to face Giotto. But of course, Tsuna understands very well that this is a forbidden love. The people around them may find this disgusting.
Tsuna understands.
Of course he does.
It can't be helped.
He already fell too deep into this love.
"Tsu-Tsuna?" Asked Giotto when he realized that the brunette is staring at him with big… round… and sparkling chocolate caramel eyes as if Giotto is an Idol of some sort. Giotto gulped nervously when he realized that his brother is in a state where Giotto can attack him anytime. Giotto immediately throws that perverted idea away before he really loses control.
"Tsuna? What's wrong?"
Tsuna blinked.
Giotto smiled.
"Gi-Gio-nii? E-Eh, umm… it's nothing…" Tsuna averted his gaze somewhere else and covered his blushing face with his hands – trying to hide his expression from Giotto. The blonde was taken back by the cute reaction, Giotto is now trying to suppress his laugh while occasionally rubbing Tsuna's back.
"Did you just realize that your brother is super cool, Tsuna?"
"You narcissist!"
Tsuna slowly uncovers his face from his hands and stares at Giotto's blue orbs.
A silence was there for a moment before it was broken with loud laughter from the Sawada brothers.
Ah… it's been a while since Giotto laughed like this. Tsuna doesn't even really remember the last time he laughed like this… since Giotto came home really late with that gloomy face? Since that moment, Giotto hasn't smiled very often and Tsuna missed those unbearably.
"Gio-nii…"
"Hm?"
"Is there anything that I can help with?"
"Eh…?"
Tsuna closed the distance between them by hugging Giotto tightly with his small arms. Giotto was taken aback can let himself be hugged by the brunette – it's not that Giotto doesn't really know what Tsuna is talking about. Of course he knows, how can he not know. He knows how worried Tsuna and his mother were when they saw him came home late tired and furthermore, Giotto never really talked about the reason of it. Giotto slowly put his arms around Tsuna and hugs him back tightly.
"With you hugging me like this, it's enough for me. So don't worry about it."
Tsuna slowly brought his face up and stares deeply into Giotto's sky blue orbs.
"Re-Really…? Just like that?"
Giotto nodded.
"Yes. And I promise I will take care of myself more from now." Giotto brings his soft lips to the brunette's forehead softly. His big warm hands now rubbing Tsuna's back in circling motions, hoping that helps Tsuna calm down. Soft sobbing comes from Tsuna and droplets of tears starts to fall from his cheeks and onto Giotto's shirt. That makes Giotto hug Tsuna even tighter and his eyes fill with determination.
'I can't make Tsuna more worried than he already is,
I have to end this.'
…
And in a few days.
An incident happens.
That day, Tsuna just came home with his two best friends – Gokudera and Yamamoto like always. Gokudera and Yamamoto bid their good bye's after they reached Tsuna's house, and when Tsuna entered his house, Nana immediately welcomed her son. Tsuna smiled and went to his room upstairs, throwing his body into the soft mattress with a deep sigh. Tsuna's been wondering since when his room's ceiling has become so attractive to look at – he occasionally found himself staring at the white ceiling for no reason.
"Gio-nii…"
That awfully familiar name slipped from Tsuna's mouth.
Is this because of this 'love' feeling?
Maybe.
Tsuna groaned and rolled onto his side before deciding to grab a cold beverage and (if there's any) some cookies from the kitchen. He swings his feet to the bedside and stand up. When he arrived at the kitchen, he saw his mother is stuffing the necessary stuffs like her wallet and such into a big bag she always use for shopping. Realizing that her son is near, Nana turned around to face him, "Tsu-kun, I'm off shopping. Is there's something you want?"
"Hmm… nothing in particular."
"Okay then, be good at home."
When Nana walked away from the kitchen, Tsuna approach the innocent looking fridge and opens the door. Tsuna sighed comfortably when the cold air hits him, Tsuna grabs an orange canned juice and sighed in disappointment when he found out there's no cake, cookies or ice cream to eat. Then he closes the door with his feet. As always, Tsuna has trouble opening the can. He sighed in relief when he finally succeeded to open the can. He brought the can to his lips –
"Ts-Tsu-kun!"
Tsuna was really surprised and nearly dropped the can; he put the can away hastily and run to his mother's side.
"What's wrong, mom?!"
"Th-That-" Tsuna immediately turned his attention to the direction his mother is pointing at.
Chocolate caramel orbs widened in disbelief.
A huge black pillar of smoke that's engulfing the sky, tainting the clear blue sky. Tsuna clenched his fist and keeps it close to his chest, he didn't like this at all. And what's the feeling inside him? He wants to puke right now. A dozen of sirens either from the fire department, ambulances or the police – or maybe it's all of them. But where are they heading to? The smoke is to dense and Tsuna could only assume where it's from. Tsuna hoped that he was wrong…
"Mo-Mom… isn't Gio-nii's campus that way…?"
…
Tsuna hope for the countless time that he was wrong.
But looks like God isn't on his side for this one.
After catching a taxi with Nana and driving at full speed, he can now hear many noises from around. Tsuna couldn't believe his own eyes – Giotto's Campus set in huge flames, with a few explosions coming from further inside. Then the taxi driver said he couldn't get closer than this because of the commotion – the mother and son got off from the vehicle and stared dumbfounded at the scenery in front of them.
Screaming and crying can be heard from around.
Why?
Why did this happen?
Why did it have to be the college Giotto attends?
Why not somewhere else?
"Gi-Gio-nii…"
"Gio…" Tears fell from Nana's eyes and trailed down her cheeks. Her right hand grabs Tsuna's shoulder and pulls him into a tight hug. Tsuna couldn't say or do anything, his mind still processing the whole thing. Tsuna began to question himself why this happened in a beautiful city like this? Why? Why?
Tsuna broke from his mother's hug and ran towards the crowd in front of the main gate, he occasionally wiped his tears with his sleeves as he was trying to find his brother. He couldn't help it as his eyes wandered around, resisting the urge to vomit when he saw a lot of blood from the students who came out of the campus injured. Tsuna tried not to pay attention to the blood and fastened his pace to a run and search for a certain blonde.
"GIO-NII!"
He hoped for an answer.
But it never came.
Tsuna fell to his knees when an unbearable pain blossomed in his chest – damn. Maybe he breathed in too much smoke, 'Why now…?'
It hurts.
It hurts to breathe.
Tears formed again in the corner of his eyes because of the pain, he clutches his shirt tightly and tries to breathe normally again without feeling any pain. But it was futile. He then coughed countless times and an extreme headache begins to attack his head. His sight started to blur, then he let his body fall to the hard asphalt. He shut his eyes tightly while listening to the various sounds around him – but there's one voice that's calling him in an awfully distraught way.
"TSU-KUUN!"
His mother's voice was the last thing he heard.
"Gio-nii…"
And everything went black.
