All right guys, this is my next chapter and I think I will make Blu as pov because I could explain a lot. Hope you enjoy!
I couldn't believe it. I had my first dance with Jewel! Practically, I had no one to dance with when I was little, just listening to the music in the radio, laying down while enjoying the view of the snow. I have to admit, she was pretty good at dancing and the song that they sing, it was incredible! I've never heard those songs in my life.
I continued to dance, staring deeply into her eyes every time I can. Around me, I can see other birds that seemed to enjoy the song too. They are dancing as couples which isn't a problem to me. Speaking of Nico and Pedro, I have to thank them for the song that they gave. Mentioning that they are the best singers a bird could be.
Without a mere second, I can hear someone clanking the rooftops. At first, I thought it was my imagination but I started to think it was real when I heard more and more clanking coming in. Jewel saw me puzzled and asked," What's wrong Blu? You face seem like you see a ghost." My face does look like I just see a ghost but I responded back," Nothing, I thought I just heard something. I think it's gone now."
She wouldn't just stand back. " Blu tell me now. If you don't tell, how can I help you if you are in a difficult situation?" she asked kindly.
She was right, I sometimes do need help, maybe from her if I need to because I don't like to give birds problems since I feel sorry if they've had sacrifice their time only just for me.
From what I can tell from her personality, she wouldn't stop pestering birds until she found the truth and speaking about truth, she can also tell if that bird was lying or not. It's impossible to escape from her now. I have no other choice but to tell her.
" Alright," I sighed," I thought I heard someone clanking the rooftops and I was a little disturbed by it but…" she didn't let me finish. Instead, she put her wingtip on my beak and I felt a shiver on my spine..
" Ok blu," she placed her right wing on my cheek," Just forget about that for now and concentrate on dancing with me would you?" she asked warmly.
I place my wing on her wing. How could I say no to her? I already promised myself that I would protect her from any danger. So I nodded. Just as we started to continue dancing, the rooftop suddenly crashes down, leaving the cloth to cover all of us. Everyone scream in panic, fidgeting everywhere to get out from it.
Jewel and me manage to get out first then all other birds started to follow us but I didn't expect to see the same bird again. A white-feathered cockatoo is standing right before us. For a moment there, I become wide eyed. I thought that he was gone the minute he crashes into the electric generator last time.
Behind me, everyone looks at Nigel and us. From what I can tell, they seemed to be confused of what is happening right now.
In a sudden, he grabs my throat tightly using his right talon. " I've finally found you. You thought that you've escaped from me," he tightens his grip and I was almost out of breath," I will make you suffer for what you did to me!" he shouted real loud, causing everyone to gasp in horror.
He raises his left talon and prepares his claws. He laughed sinisterly and was ready to attack me. I closed my eyes tightly, getting ready for the consequence but instead I fell onto the floor. I open my eyes slowly and saw Jewel defended me from him. Nigel fell to the floor, half way within us
I placed my right wing on my throat and try to soothe it but it was no use. The pain was still the same recently. She worriedly kneel down and asked," Are you ok Blu?" She rubs my throat slowly and I welcomed it. I don't know why but when she does that, the pain slowly started to vanish. It looks as if she had magic wings.
Nigel recovers immediately after his being thrown on the floor. He inhaled heavily, which signs that he is angrier than he is supposed to be. Just before he is about to run Rafael steps in and calmly said," Guys, guys, guys. Don't we suppose be friends huh? Forever?"
Nigel eyed me then to Rafael. Honestly, I don't know what will happen next but I have a bad feeling about this. I knew I was right because in a sudden, Nigel punched Rafael on his temple (temple is the part between the forehead and the ear). He slides on his back and groaned helplessly on the floor. For a moment there, I can't stand watching my friend suffer because of me. ' I have to protect them' I stand up slowly with my wings supporting me,' I have to…"
When I already stand up, Nigel smirked at me. I feel scared inside me but I have to let braveness overcome my fear. This is the only way if i want to defeat someone in a battle.
" Ready to suffer?" Nigel asked with cruelty, showing no mercy. I just keep quiet and prepare myself for a fight, which his hungry fingers are willing to touch my flesh. He boldly runs at me. I feel Jewel tugging my hips tightly. Somehow, that gives me more motivation to defeat Nigel and I can't find the reason why.
While he was running, someone yelled from behind," Birds vs. Nigel!" Nigel stopped running towards me. I look around and flock of birds started to hover in the air. From what I can tell, Pedro shouted recently. " We have to protect these blue macaws! They're the last of their species!" a yellow macaw shouted. "Let's go!" another one shouted.
They all flutter to Nigel and pinned him down. Nigel tried to break free but tons of birds were on him. He practically can't fidget, not even a single tiny movement. Nico and Pedro helped Rafael up. I felt relieved that I didn't fight Nigel because his strength is higher compared to mine. On the other side, I'm happy that they realized we're the last of our kind not because I act like a boss. I 've never felt that way.
"Blu!" I turned my body towards Pedro," Get to the Monorail above you!" I saw a monorail above me passing by. It was full of people but if I were stealthy enough, there would be no problem.
"How about you?" I said," How can you get to the monorail in time? You have a rare chance!" Nico and Pedro each draped Rafael wings around them. They looked to each other and nodded. They both flutter to the climax due to Rafael weight. Rafael was still alive but was too weak to do anything.
Jewel elbowed me and said," Blu! Let's go now!" I nodded at her and we both flutter to the monorail's direction. "I will get youuuuuu!" Nigel shouted sinisterly. I looked back then forward to concentrate where I'm going. We landed above the monorail just in time. I instantly came to Rafael and pat his back. Both Nico and Pedro was also worried about him." Rafael," I asked kindly," if you don't mind me asking, are you okay?" He looked and me and smiled slowly.
" I'm…" he coughed badly, causing to Nico and Pedro to give their full attention to him," I'm okay. It's just… my body… it's… it's weak" he mumbled.
" Get some rest," I slowly lay him down," you'll need it." He lied down and slowly closed his eyes. I feel even more worried about him. " We'll take care of him," Pedro said," You can spend your time with Jewel."
The more I look at him, the more I feel bad towards him. He wasn't supposed to accept this fate. What did I do? What did I do? I reminded myself all the time. Rafael sure was a great friend. He was one of a cheerful and joyous bird and surely, he can make tons of friends.
I looked at him all the time but instead, Jewel tugged my wing. I look at her and she said," Blu, can we seat at the front, you know, so we could have some privacy?" I nodded and I still look back as I walk forward.
The moment I have seated on the front, Jewel leaned on me for which I draped a wing around her. She draws circles on my chest.
"Blu," she asked," there is something that I want to tell you. Something prominent." I looked at her. I didn't know what she means by something prominent but I'm glad to hear what she says.
"Do you mind if," she stopped for a moment," we have… children?" I was shocked so much that even I can't respond to what she says. She wanted to have children, more badly with ME. I mean, sure I love too but something puts me on the edge. I can't understand why.
" Well," I sighed," I like to have one but isn't this to early to have children? For both of us?" Jewel responded back," Blu, please. I really want to have one with you. You are a perfect bird for me. I don't like other birds chasing me around anymore. I feel protected if I'm with you."
This somehow is getting interesting I have to say. I kissed her cheek and she returned with a smile. If she wants to have one, so be it but my other side of my head said no. I mean I do love her but I need more time to know her more.
It's now already evening and the monorail has come into a stop. " Here we are!" Nico shouted," I present you Luis's garage!" I help Jewel get down from the monorail slowly. She then leaned on me while we walk inside the door and Nico and Pedro was helping Rafael to walk but he seems to recover slowly according to me. When I see around, it was a little eerie. There were dangerous tools everywhere. I feel that someone may just jump out and instantly kill us.
I heard a rattling inside a car. Now, anxiety forms inside of me again and I have a feeling that heat is trying to burn me. I saw two eyes and immediately a bulldog just jumps out and chases us. Even Nico and Pedro was shocked.
"Run Jewel Run!" I shouted for our own safety. But we're too slow. The dog pinned us down on the floor with his paw. I tighten my eyes to wait what will happen next but he laughed back. "Hahaha!" his saliva is drooling on us," I got you good. I could have eaten your heads off, but I didn't, but I could have."
Nico come in while Pedro is treating Rafael and said," Hey Luis! Don't scare my friends, we just want some help from you." Luis came off from us." So this Luis," she scanned his whole body," is a bulldog?" He turned back at us and replied," You got something against dogs?" His tone is higher than before but I stay quiet in case anything happens.
" I do," she replied back," when they're drooling on us." Luis frowned but Nico tried to cheer him up." Hey it's ok. She didn't mean it. So, can you cut the chain in half? Please?" he showed the chain that is between us. Luis nodded and said," I think I know what to do."
His tone, according to me, sounds as if he's unsure of what's he's going to do next but if his plan is dangerous, I swear I'm going to run away. Probably if Jewel want the chain broken so she could forever be with me.
So here we go to follow his plan.
