"Baa-sama?" Naruto asked the figure that came from the orb blinking all sorts of confused.

"No, its Uchiha Madara. Of course it's me! Who else would I be huh? Who do you think designed this thing?" she said smiling proudly.

"How? Wait… give me a moment please." He said closing his eyes and concentrating with furrowed eyebrows.

"So you designed the Tenrai Chiken Fuuin." A nod, "ok, I'm going to guess you used seals to draw power for it in the surrounding area, air, whirlpools, the natural energy I don't know, I'm guessing since you made it the seal takes on your appearance?" he asked

"right on the power wrong on appearance. Good guess though. Wanna try again?" she said a little cheekily. 'Who knew playing with your grandkids could be this much fun in the afterlife?' she thought as to her poor situation after the attack happened.

Nodding Naruto took another moment before widening his eyes a small fraction. "The attack? You sealed your consciousness inside the seal for a personality for the seal. Is that why you're here to stay alive after the attack on Uzu?"

She smiled. "Well who would have thought? I got me a smart grandson!" she said praising him with a beaming grin. Sobering a little though she was still smiling softly at him she started speaking again, "I am only part of this seal, I sealed my body and consciousness inside the seal to survive the attack at the request of my people. It was going badly, we had nearly lost and were only holding up in a cave. The attack was much stronger than we anticipated. The Raikage, Tsuchikage, and Mizukage themselves came to make sure we died. Who knew a family protecting itself would be so scary to a couple of old men around the nations?" she asked rhetorically before continuing, "We were almost winning when those stupid Greshi showed up and started attacking. It was hellish trying to fend off both attacks from the allied nations with their kages and the Greshi acting seperate. While the Greshi may be no certain warriors they do have a significant advantage over us. They can dispel ninjutsu. From what the seal saw in your mind you saw only one type of the Greshi. The Kaze Kataki Greshi. They are not as annoying to most Uzumaki as the Nami Katakis but they are still annoying as hell. They are strong, and dispel most wind release techniques. And are resilient to lightning if your memories are anything to go by, that may be why your kunai didn't go straight through them instead of only killing them." She said to his shocked and widened eyes as realization stormed through his mind. "Anyway, We managed to get to some of the intact buildings in the village and we talked through our options. Though above all, we needed a record of what happened, we needed someone to live to bring back the Uzumaki clan to new heights. Though I suppose you are already on your way to doing that aren't you fufufufufufu" she laughed as Naruto blushed slightly and shouted "BAA-SAMA!" it took a minute for her laughter to calm down. "Sorry Naru-chan, but I couldn't help it. But back to the story I was picked, as I knew the most out of all that were left. Heh four jounin three chuunin and a kage, against the horde of Greshi and the Kages themselves. We certainly didn't disappoint them in their fear of us. No, we made it to the tower, barely but we made it. Only I was left when we made it as the others had stayed behind to guard the outside. I made it to this room and activated the Tenrai Chiken Fuuin. My body was put in stasis by the seal as it came to term with my spirit lasting inside my chakra inside the my body. It turned out that the seals intelligence was smarter than we gave it credit for." as she said this the room brightened a bit before going back to its ambient glow, "See? Smart seal. I'm not sure what happened afterward as I was not really coherent at the time, still getting used to being inside the seal. I still am inside it, as this is just a very realistic genjutsu brought about by the orb you saw. That is its power supply. Pure chakra given form by the mix of the different chakras around condensed down into an orb. It is quite powerful. I doubt anything less than a biju could have anything more than what it is currently storing inside itself." Before she could continue the same voice from before spoke.

Perhaps you should stop focusing on my power supply and start focusing on if and how you are going to get out. While I will keep you sustained for however long you need I will not be able to function fully if I am keeping you alive at the same time. Nor will I be able to function for the role you gave me when you made me.

Naruto did notice the walls brightening while it spoke, signaling a seals activation. Naruto was utterly confused by the wording of the seals words. What purpose did he/she/it serve a hundred years after it was made? His answer was a chuckle and more telepathy from the seal.

My purpose when I was created was to help the Uzumaki clan in battle with seals and chakra supply. That orb you keep talking about is what I would call my own chakra supply after it is merged into something… more than what conventional chakra can do as it is thicker, denser, more powerful, and overall more potent than even the coveted Senju chakra. But I digress, we are not here to talk about me, we are here to talk about your training and how you are going to get off this island with your grandmother.

"That is a good point as my ship is currently wrecked. Even if I knew how to build one it would take time and materials that we don't have." Naruto said at a loss of what he could do. A realization came to mind after a few seconds though "Do either of you know how to build ships?" he asked getting a shake of the head from his grandmother while the room lit up briefly signaling its response.

I have the knowledge of how to Naruto Uzumaki Senju. But alas the knowledge of sailing the ship I do not have.

Smiling at the confirmation Naruto spoke, "Then would you tell me how to? If I was careful I could collect the materials for a simple ship to be crafted. The question is where will the materials come from? I know there are a lot of good trees for wood on the island but I do not believe that I can process and get the lumber from the trees without some tools. Not to mention the fact that I don't believe the Greshi will ignore the fact that I am building a boat and wouldn't mind taking a shot at me while I'm working." He said shaking his head. He didn't think it would but the room lit up again as he raised his head to look at the ceiling.

No need to worry about the where to build the ship, I shall take care of that with Mana's assistance. As for tools I cannot help you with.

"Well then it's a good thing that I'm still here isn't it?" Mana spoke again.

"What do you mean?" Naruto asked looking at his grandmother.

"What? Did you think you knew everything about the Uzumaki's?" she asked with a mischievous smile on her face and her eyes sparkling. "Oh no you still have so much to learn about what an Uzumaki can do." She added seeing his questioning look.

"I have a bad feeling about this." Was all he muttered content to ignore the insane giggling he heard coming from his grandmother. It was as if she was about to watch something that would be extremely funny to the person watching and extremely painful for the one involved. Of course it was a little harder to ignore the room brightening and dimming over and over as if the seal itself was laughing at his misfortune.

'What did I get myself into?!' was the thought of one Naruto Uzumaki Senju. It was a few days after they had gotten to the village and everyone was in a wide cavern with the girls lying on the floor panting badly with their weapons lying around in open hands with no grip on the weapons. If it wasn't for their chest raising and falling Naruto was sure they would be dead with how ragged they looked.

"Come on now. You can't be that tired yet. I felt your chakra levels when you entered the village. Almost a third of my grandsons! So come on you should have plenty for this little exercise." And there was grandma. Now out of the seal. It took her a day to come round and had eaten a lot afterward but she proved herself being in shape after she mopped the floor with Naruto's summons. At the same time. With one hand behind her back. Blindfolded.

Ah there they were. They twitched a little bit. Moments passed before Grandma lifted her head a little to look at them better to see them still breathing a question mark floating above her head. "Grandma, you have to realize they aren't Uzumakis. They don't have our stamina. And this little exercise is for Uzumakis."

"Oh… right. On a completely unrelated note, how is your medical jutsu?" she asked looking first at me then them.

Shaking my head a little at her I make two clones and walked over to Awai and started healing her bruised bruises while the two clones pick the other ones and start healing their bruised bruises.

Ten minutes later and everyone is healed back to being significantly more alive than before. Their breathing is easier and they are all asleep on the ground. Naruto makes another clone for the three clones to take one of the girls each to a bed to rest.

And now he is standing in the cave alone with his grandma… who is wearing a very very sadistic grin on her face as she looks at Naruto. 'Oh dear this is going to hurt in the morning' he thinks. Chuckling is heard through the cave as Mana gets closer to her grandson.

It continued like that for a month before part of the day was Naruto going out to collect wood for the ship he was building in a different part of the cave. After their naps to regain some strength Arashi, Awai and Shuuha all helped in making the ship as Shuuha with the seal's help gave out orders to Naruto's clones on what goes where. Naruto during this time merely had a scroll out while his brush danced across it with his eyes seemingly everywhere. Clones were rushing everywhere working in perfect harmony. It was impressive to say the least. To see around thirty blonde boys working in the cave as shouts pass through the air. Only the ones mentioned ever pay any attention to the orders though as it seems each clone knows what order goes to whom before the order is even finished.

Right now Naruto was resting in his room in the tower gathering his strength back for some personal training later in the evening. He didn't want his grandmother or the others knowing what he was going to do. This was his secret project for himself.

After a few moments he opened his eyes, stood up and stretched his sore and slightly stiff muscles. Nodding to himself seeing he had enough chakra for his training, Naruto nodded to himself and walked out of his room to his training area.

Half hour later Naruto stood in a clearing of trees with two shadow clones posted by the edge. One to heal him and drag him back when he was done and one to guard him incase of attack while he was concentrating. He couldn't really defend himself when he did this training.

Naruto sat down closed his eyes and balanced himself. Reflecting on everything he now knew and what he was doing. Chakra training. Not just any training either.

Yin-Yang training.

Naruto had seen the topic in a book in the library but had yet to try anything with it, so now would be a good place to start. For at least a better understanding of what he held.

His head slightly bowed Naruto dug into his chakra and felt it. Immersing himself in it. Naruto felt his consciousness travelling around his body with his chakra current. Lifting his palms slightly so they rested palm up on his knees Naruto focused on his chakra. Twin forces making up the energy used by an entire populace. And yet they barely knew what else it could do just by itself by picking it apart. Feeling the energies gather in his core Naruto made the energy pull itself apart. Bending to his will to break an incredible source of power for knowledge of that very power itself. Naruto was ready for the feedback this time. Last time it had knocked him out because of the amount of energy it took to tear the two apart he was stuck in bed for the next day because his whole system was out of whack. Then it came. The surging of chaotic energies with no direction to take. Calmly he started to direct it. It was like the energies were blind, it didn't know where to go nor how to get there, you had to guide it along the correct path while scooping up any excess energy that was left over so it wouldn't harm him later. Hearing a gasp come from his clone and not sensing anything nearby Naruto took it as a sign of success and continued guiding his now separate yin and yang chakra.

Naruto could only continue to herd his chakra to where he wanted it. Yin to his left hand while Yang would go to his right hand. Naruto immediately felt the difference in the feel of the chakra in his arms, his right felt solid, alive, like it could topple a mountain and still go, while his left arm was faster and he felt more aware of the hand by itself. Bringing the chakra to the surface and amassing the huge amount he carried Naruto could feel the sheer power he felt from both left and right arms. He did not feel this from normal chakra. It seemed Yin and Yang chakra was different by itself than as whole chakra. Now to work on the exercise. He thought as he slowly, ever so slowly, brought his hands down to the ground and channeled the chakra out of his body.

Naruto's clones could only stand in shock at the display. The grass on his right side was growing! Just the feel of the chakra and the clone could feel the life energy radiate through the surrounding grass. The grass on his left side flourished. It became greener. It grew a little but nowhere near the extent of the right side. The clone could feel something coming out of the grass on the left. Tuning his senses to it he widened his eyes as he saw the grass bloom. The tip of the blade opened and bright green flower petals flourished on the tops. It wasn't long before the pretty flowers surrounded the clone on Naruto's left side with a sweet scent hanging in the air, it wasn't so strong it was hard to breath but it was very evident that it was there. The very ground was alive with his chakra flowing through it. Not much longer and the trees were affected a small amount. The ones on his right side branches grew and flourished a small amount while the left had flower petals sticking out of where the leaves had been with the same sweet scent hanging through the air.

It was very refreshing being where the left clone was. He looked very relaxed with his eyes closed and his arms hanging by his side, his face one of a child, as they finally got comfy in bed. It was extremely peaceful right up to the point where they saw Naruto bend forward like he had collapsed. Rushing over the pair of clones sweat dropped slightly as they heard his snores coming from where his face lay between the now foot long grass and the 9'' green flowers. Flipping him over to get started on healing him the clone that was on the right sat on the grass and started on healing him while the clone on the left started patrolling around looking at the clearing. It was incredible.

This was the first time he truly got started on the exercise and he does this? A twelve-foot clearing exactly half in bloom and half with extra length grass blades. It was impressive to be sure. Unfortunately all good things come to an end.

Snapping his head to his left at the tree line Naruto saw three of the snarling visages of the Greshi. "Yo. Take boss back to safety. I'll stall them as long as I can. Hurry." No other words were necessary as Naruto stood strong in his 4'10'' stature staring at the 6'0'' creatures with swords glaring back at him.

No signal was given as the clone whipped out a kunai for one hand and the other hand in a half seal. The Greshi only had smirking faces at the small dagger in their prey's hand before one charged forward to prove the difference in weapon grades. Something he did prove very well as his sword swung down at medium speeds intent clear in its eyes.

Naruto merely looked up and brought his kunai forth charged with chakra to his muscles as he stood in defiance to the larger creature. Then something happened that made the other Greshi pause.

CLANG

The fact that a simple knife in the hands of this child was enough to completely stop a fully grown Greshi's strength was something they paused at for too long in Naruto's opinion as he brought his free hand and struck the Greshi in the chest sending him flying back to his brothers? Pack? Naruto wasn't sure what to call them. Though that dense chakra thing was really quite handy. Little bit of dense chakra to the muscles and next thing you know you're Tsunade's equal in brute strength.

Naruto held his ground as the three Greshi snarled at him for the damage done to one of them before the other two charged him in hopes to kill this impudent child. But alas their hopes were dashed as he jumped back making two one handed seals before his cheeks bulged and he spit out a fair sized water bullet sending one to the far side of the clearing and charging the other. The one that was sent back by the water jumped up, snarled and charged again as his yellow eyes glared at the small child that had bested two of them so far. The two charging forces met with a bang as Naruto ducked dodged and rolled out of the way of the two swords coming at him meanwhile landing light blows on his opponents that seemed to do nothing upon impact. Not a minute passed like that before the third one started to stir and shot up his face snarling as he brought his sword up and charged the blonde brat.

Naruto met his charge with one of his own getting away from his other two opponents as he jumped away after dodging their blades once more. Naruto met his charge with his handy kunai holding the sword tip up with chakra to make it stick. Then took a small step forward and sent his fist crashing directly into the Greshi's stomach area using his dense chakra. The Greshi could only grimace in the air as it was sent flying again by the no smaller force and ended up rolling on the ground away from where Naruto was.

Naruto gave him no time to relax as he surged forward. He was not about to fight the three of them together. He managed to make it to his opponent right as he stood up, with the grace born of a warrior he managed to make his blow high enough just to reach his opponents chin. The blow wasn't pumped full of dense chakra but had a small enough amount to make sure it stayed down for the rest of the fight.

Turning around he saw the other two snarling more at him and jumped up through the air directly over the two Greshi. As he was descending he noticed the Greshi had started swings so the blades would meet Naruto on his way down. 'I suppose that's enough time for them to escape. I'll pop after a few minutes after using this but oh well.' He thought before he acted. Using the air compression technique he jumped again only this time even higher before his hands blurred through multiple seals and his mouth bulged again. 'Water style: Exploding Water Colliding Wave!' water surged from his mouth as his mind shouted the technique. The force of the technique slammed into the ground. The Greshi were sent backwards from the force of the water.

Naruto waited on top of his small wave of water as he watched for any signs that they had survived the waters onslaught. Bringing his arms to his sides the clone relaxed and nodded before it dispelled.

None of the participants noticed the widening of light purple eyes at the show. 'I never thought he could do this much. And to think he managed to separate his chakra. And from the show of the chakras effects it had on the grass and trees it was wonderful for the life here.' Mana thought before she stepped into the now only damp clearing she could see the remnants of the grass/flowers and elongated grass blades. Walking over to one of the trees at random her features relaxed before she put her palm on the tree feeling the energy left over from her grandsons chakra Mana could only shake her head at how powerful he could be if he mastered what he was using. "Now let's go see how he's doing after that impressive display." She said rather cheerfully before starting to skip merrily out of the clearing smiling after noticing a single flower blooming where Naruto had sat.

Snapping his eyes open Naruto took inventory of where he was. Small nightstand and scroll sitting in the middle of it, twin size mattress, plain brown room. The room was lit by a single light on the ceiling coming out of lines carved into it.

Satisfied by his surroundings he looked curiously at his arms. They felt fine. Considering how much yin and yang chakra he had poured through them he figured they would be sore all to hell. 'I guess I need to thank my Uzumaki strength for that' he thought with a smile. 'Though I have to wonder how the flowers and grass will stand up to the wildlife around here.' He thought before he remembered the fight his clone had with the three Greshi. His shoulders dropped slightly at not getting to see the result with his own eyes. When he had practiced that move the results were quite… catastrophic to the surroundings. After he mastered the yang chakra he needed to go back to that valley in Wave country to help it heal and grow.

Naruto quickly noticed two more things his looking around failed to show him.

He wasn't alone in his bed.

Something was breathing softly beneath him.

Freezing where he was Naruto remembered what had happened the last time this happened. Looking around slowly to not disturb what was beneath him he noticed a stray pillow on the ground. 'PERFECT!' his mind screamed as he silently did a substitution with the discarded pillow and stared at what was occupying the space beneath him.

Awai was sleeping with her arms to her sides with a rather content smile on her face as she breathed slowly. Twitching his brow slightly at Awai's constant new habit to sleep beneath him. While he had fewer nightmares the past few weeks he knocked it up to coincidence and shook his head. He should have expected this. Honestly every night they would play this game. Naruto would try to catch Awai getting beneath him and Awai would try to get beneath him without him detecting her. He had yet to find out exactly how she did it she would always just appear below him with his head tucked in her cleavage and Awai with a content smile on her face. He did admit they were nice pillows but he would not support this type of activity. Especially with grandmother out of stasis. She would tease him all to hell for this. After all, wasn't it all mothers and grandmothers wish to have more grandkids and great grandkids to spoil and tease?

In a different room Mana Uzumaki suddenly felt a rush of excitement and joy for no obvious reason.

Naruto shivered at the vision of Mana Uzumaki jumping for joy about the prospect of great grandkids running around as she spoiled them with candies and other junk food. No, Naruto was going to raise his kid's right. When he had kids anyway. And that would not be for a long, long time. He was only thirteen! He just had his birthday a few days ago. While he might entertain the notion of having kids in the future he would be busy for a long time until he was satisfied that his kids could grow up safely, protected by family.

But enough about kids, those thoughts were for another day.

After sneaking out of his room so as not to wake Awai and make it horribly awkward for Naruto he went to start his warm ups for the day. Today they were putting the pieces together on the ship so he wanted his muscles warmed up at least so he had to get breakfast and then warm up.

Walking to where they always had breakfast Naruto sat down and thought about what he had finally accomplished the last night.

The separation of yin and yang chakra, and the use of said chakra on surrounding objects.

Sure he had separated it before. The few times he had were met with disastrous results. There had been the chakra exhaustion aplenty when he had tried back in wave at his cottage. But in Uzu he got it, somewhat. He knew he didn't have full control over it like he did with normal chakra. With normal chakra it was instinct to fight with it. Ninja use it for everything, walking, running, jumping, healing, fighting, it was a source of power that could be used for everything. Yet Naruto knew that wasn't all it could do if it was pushed. Yang gave the grass such life energy that the grass grew to nearly a foot when it was next to his legs, and on the other side was flowers…. Made from grass blades. Naruto couldn't really explain that one. Sure he had heard myths and legends about yin and yang, form and life. Who knew that just giving energy from either could inspire such changes? He had felt drained for sure but getting the hang of using the chakra would be extremely useful in the future Naruto could tell. The night before wasn't a mistake. It couldn't have been a mistake. He had grown foot tall grass blades and bloomed flowers from the same grass with the different energies. Yet if he had given normal chakra nothing would have happened. Such power from yin and yang. It was a wonder no one tried to reach for such knowledge and power before now. But for now he would settle to get better control over it. He guessed his control over his yin and yang chakra was at most low chuunin because of his ridiculously high control over his normal chakra.

Naruto shook his head getting rid of the thoughts between yin and yang. He had other things to work on before yin and yang again. His reserves weren't completely full yet so he would have to wait a bit before he tried something so tiring again. Looking around the room he noticed only his grandmother was up. Noticing him she waved and walked over to him.

"Sooo…. how is everything? Been training on anything interesting recently?" she asked with an all too innocent smile on her face as she looked at him.

Naruto deadpanned at her before speaking, "You were watching me weren't you? How much did you see?"

Her smile widening a bit she chirped "Oh not much, just an awesome scene with the grass and flowers from the grass. That was awesome by the way, how did you do it?"

"… Yin and Yang chakra. The side with the abnormally tall grass was the yang chakra while the flowers came from the yin chakra. As for how, I channeled either chakra type through a different arm and then forced it into the ground and giving it to the surrounding environment. Needless to say my clones were quite impressed by the results. I am as well when I looked at their memories. It's not everyday that someone can use yin and yang chakra. If they even use it at all."

Mana could only stare at him with a blank face. A bit nervous Naruto was about to ask what she was thinking before her face broke into the largest smile he had seen on her yet and she shouted out "OH my grandbaby is so strong! He can use Yin and Yang chakra like no other! Ha! Eat that stupid Senju brother! Hahahaha!" her laughter degraded into maniacal laughter that made Naruto want to scoot away a little for safety before his grandmother scooped him into a large bear hug and swung him around in the air like a child.

"Please put me down Baa-sama." He asked but got no reply from the mad woman as she kept twirling him like a toy.

This was the scene the summons came into the room to see. A deadpanning Naruto with a laughing grandma spinning him around like mad. They could only sweat drop at the actions of the Uzumaki duo. Though one thing did come into their minds as they all walked to get food they weren't about to get in between Mana and Naruto right now. 'Only with Naruto would I get to see something like this and consider it normal.'

Well? How was it? Chapter 9 is done. 5,197 words. Eh. Let me know if you all want longer or shorter chapters it will help.

As for the yin yang scene I hope you all like it. My theory on Kurama's chakra on the wood style was that if purified yang biju chakra could do that by merely standing in it's presence then what about human yang chakra through direct contact? Why not make it grow like mad. Yang is life energy so it would make it grow while yin is form; I figured that since it would have a different effect of the Yang chakra it would change the grass into something else while maintaining its original function growing by photosynthesis and obtaining nutrients from the soil. The yin chakra only made it so the grass had better surface area to gather sunlight from by changing into flowers.

Well that's all said and done now time for something else. Sorry if this chapter didn't really live up to the others, I had trouble with more than a few parts of it.

School is going well so hope that keeps up.
