Chapter Nine

A Lucky Escape

"Nii-san! Hang in there!"

The ambulance had arrived right in front of the house but because of the crowd outside the first aid team couldn't get close enough to treat the weak brunette. This was hard enough on Kasuka but what made his blood really boil was that the fans and reporters wouldn't make a path for the first aid team.

"Please there is a female patient inside the house! We have received a report that the patient is in a critical situation!"

"We're not moving until we have proof!"

"DO YOU WANT A PERSON TO DIE FROM YOUR ACTIONS!"

"IF IT'S THAT DAMN BITCH WE DON'T GIVE A DAMN!"

The reckless shouts from the fans and first aid team grew louder while Shizuo's heartbeat grew slower. Kasuka clenched his fists tightly as his hot tears dropped down onto Shizuo's pale cheeks.

"Ka…suka…don't cry…I'll be alright…" Shizuo smiled.

Kasuka clenched his fists harder and finally stood up from his seat.

"Hanejima-san?" The police officers asked

"Please take care of her for a while…I'll make sure the crowd make way…" Kasuka replied wiping his face before walking out the door and exposing himself to the people crowded round his house.

"KYAA! IT'S YUUHEI!"

The fans all screamed and yelled excitedly as they saw the younger brunette come out the house. As the crowd went wild Kasuka used this to attract the crowd's attention away from the ambulance and very much towards him by running full speed away from the house. Doing this he managed to get all the fans and reporters away from the house by getting every single one of them to follow him.

"QUICK! GET EVERYONE OVER HERE! IF HE'S TRYING TO ESCAPE WE MIGHT GET SOME JUICY NEWS FROM THIS!"

"WE'LL DEFINATLY GET YUUHEI TO SPILL THE BEANS!"

When the reporters and fans had cleared the surroundings the first aid team hurried and went inside to treat the older brunette.

"Where's…Kasuka?" Shizuo asked as he slowly gained his strength from the first aid team's treatments.

"He's fine." One of the doctors answered.

Shizuo was slightly unstable at the time so everybody knew that it'd be bad if the brunette was informed about Kasuka's real situation.

"Also, we've been ordered by a curtain doctor that it'd be bad for you to be hospitalized in the general hospital so we're taking you to his place until your body stables" The doctor added, gently moving the brunette onto a stretcher.

Must be Shinra's place… Shizuo thought as the doctor and two other police men slowly moved him inside the ambulance.

Shizuo had managed to get to the doctor's house safely where as he thought Shinra and Celty were waiting.

"I knew it…" Shizuo coughed, smirking at the couple.

"Well I couldn't have you examined by other doctors so I pulled a few strings at the hospital." Shinra bragged.

[I'll go prepare some medicine then.] Celty typed calmly.

"Thanks Celty~" Shinra smiled.

Then as Shizuo was giggling at the two fairly idiotic couple he remembered he'd been forgetting about a curtain brunette.

"Ah, by the way, do you know where Kasuka is?" He asked.

"Yeah, he's in the shower. It seems like he was attacked on the way here." Shinra said, going through the lines Kasuka had given him before he'd headed for the shower.

"Oh…is he alright?" Shizuo added worrying a bit.

"He's fine." Shinra laughed.

Kasuka had been chased at full speed on his way here and by the time he'd arrived before Shinra, his clothes had been torn, his breath was heavy and he was so sweaty that Shinra thought he could have a bath in the younger brunette's sweat. Kasuka had told Shinra the whole situation before going into the shower so Shinra had no problem at finishing Shizuo's treatment.

He gave the older brunette a quick examination in case and quickly finished treating Shizuo. All that was left was for Celty to bring him the brunette's medicine.

Then as Celty had finally appeared with the medicine in her hands Kasuka had also finished his shower. He had borrowed a few of Shinra's clothes which were clearly too small for him.

At the sight of this Shizuo burst out laughing and Kasuka ended up blushing.

He was a bit embarrassed as he was laughed at but relived as he saw the older brunette had recovered.

That was a lucky escape, he thought laughing together with the others in the room...
