Tori eagerly jumped on the bed and began to sort through all of the cards in the cases. She got more shocked when she saw that a few of the cases contained really rare and valuable cards. She began to feel bad about asking Kite to buy them for her and decided that after she made her deck she would come up with a way to thank Kite.

After carefully sorting through all the cards and deciding which ones would complement each other, she placed her main deck and extra deck in the middle of her vanity. She placed the remaining cards back in the cases and put them in a drawer. She then ran back to her bed and burrowed under the covers excited about being able to get to duel for once instead of watching from the sidelines.

Yuma grabbed one of his dad's bags that he took when he went on his trips exploring. He was going to go find Tori even if it kills him. He owes it to her, even when all the other kids made fun of him back then 'cause he was terrible at dueling, she only sighed before picking him up and being there to encourage him. She was his first friend and would always have a special place in his heart, even among their other friends.

He put on the golden key his parents gave him that housed Astral. He quickly packed a few changes of clothes and a few other essentials before throwing the pack off of one shoulder. He then clipped on his belt with his deck and extra deck handy. He also put on his duel disk and gazer before he jumped out of his room and raced down the stairs. He ran to the kitchen where his sister and grandmother were.

"Grandma, can you please make me a huge lunch," Yuma said running in place, a quirk he has when he's impatient.

"Whatever for Yuma? Are you going on a trip?" His grandmother asked.

"No! I forbid it! You are not going anywhere!" Yuma's sister, Kari, responded.

"Kari! This isn't the time to be worried about me! I'm going to go look for Tori! Forget this, don't make me lunch then," Yuma glared before running towards the door.

Both of the women looked shocked at Yuma. He never raised his voice like that against them or glared at them with that severity. Yuma continued to glare, but he uttered a small apology as his head turned.

Kari was the first to snap out of it. "No! We already told you! Ms. Meadows left town, she's already in a whole other city!" Kari yelled.

"Tori's mom left, but Tori is missing! Why would Tori's mom leave town if Tori's gone missing?" Yuma questioned while glaring at the floor. That damned Kite. He was going to find him wherever he was.

"You idiot! Tori went with her mom! She's not missing!" Kari yelled.

"Oh yeah?!" Yuma responded, "Then how come I found this jammed in Tori's door?!" Yuma took out a folded paper from one of the pockets in his jacket and slammed it on the counter. Kari snatched the paper and quickly scanned through it. She looked up at Yuma in shock.

"Is this real?" Kari asked.

"Yes, I found it yesterday when I went to her house, but didn't really get a chance to read it until this morning." Yuma replied.

"This changes everything," Kari said as she bit her thumb. "I'll try and see what I can do, but Yuma you're still not allowed to leave." Kari said with a pointed look at her brother.

"Why not?"

"I wouldn't know where you are, besides, you're Tori's best friend. If she's gone, you'll know where she'll go."

"...Fine, I'll stay." Yuma dropped his bag on the floor.

"Kari, what's going on?" Yuma's grandmother decided to speak up.

"Yuma's right. Tori has been left behind, possibly ran away, and Ms. Meadows no longer wants anything to do with her." Kari concluded.

"That's terrible, poor Tori."

"Yeah," Kari agreed. "Question is, why?" She then turned to face her irate brother.

"Hey Yuma has Ms. Meadows ever had a fight with Tori or ever looked irritated at her for no reason? Anything weird been happening with those two?" Kari asked her brother.

"No. I haven't seen them fight, ever." Yuma said.

"Hm." Kari stopped to think. "Actually, now that I think about it, you're probably not the best person to ask."

"What?! Why not?!" Yuma ranted.

"Easy. You're too dense to notice anything, even if it's right in front of you, much less if someone's trying to hide it." Kari deadpanned.

"I'll ask Caswell!" Yuma jumped up.

"Your friend?"

"He's smart. He probably noticed if something weird happened between the two. Besides he always had this crush on Tori's mom. It was kinda awkward if you asked me." Yuma confessed. Kari and their grandmother sweat dropped. Yuma had no sense of secrecy or subtleness, even when upset.

"Anyway," Kari dragged on, "I guess you can let your friend come if you think he'll be able to help us."

"Right," Yuma jumped into the air. "I'll go get him!" Yuma then sped off towards the door where he quickly put on his shoes and sped off towards his friend's house.

"Yuma! Wai-!" Kari was about to interrupt, but he was gone before she could say anything. She huffed as she straightened out her hair.

Kari heard her grandmother begin to laugh.

"What is it grandma? Why are you laughing?" Kari asked.

"Well isn't it obvious dear?" she responded. Kari was still confused.

Her grandmother laughed again. "That Yuma is absolutely smitten with Tori. He probably doesn't realize it yet, but it's true." her grandma said.

"Yuma with Tori?" Kari blinked, startled by the declaration. She thought about it though and grinned. "Well, I can't disagree with you there, grandma." Kari grinned. "The fact that he was about to run out that door on a journey to find her without a single clue where she was pretty much proves it, not to mention the fact that he's still doing everything to find her. He's also very frightening and angry when it comes to anyone being in his way to save her. Did you see the way he glared at us?"

Her grandma chuckled, "Ah, young love."
