So yes, moar updates. Last chapter was LOOONNGGG. Longest chapter I've written for this story so far, anywho. Here's chapter 10. Enjoy! My writing is gone...eh lately. Many reasons for it. Hopefully soon the enthusiasm for writing it will return. I've been focused more on the One-Shot I've been doing up.

Chapter 10: Bloodline

Armin and Annie walked down the street together, chattering away about the new people added to their group. She and Armin were on their way to Armin's place for some study, she enjoyed hanging around Armin, their relationship was strange though. For some reason she was scared of him, she didn't know why, but she was also madly in love with the boy.

He seemed to catch onto her emotions and tried his best to be more gentle around her, but it only annoyed the blonde. He didn't know what to do to help, the teachers in the school weren't ones to talk to, the cow in the field would give better advice. Armin had tried to talk to her a few times, but she'll only go into a lock down and stay like that for days on end.

When they reached his house, Armin led her into the back garden where there was a porch. They sat down there and began to study, or atleast they tried. The two ended up chattering again, this time about him. He didn't mind telling her about himself, about his parents, his grandfather, his hobbies and other things. She seemed to enjoy listening to him talking.

After a while she took out the art copy which Armin had gotten for her birthday, she seemed to have already drawn in it. He sat beside her, watching her silently. He knew she hated it when he watched her drawing, but he found it quite fascinating, about how an artists mind works. She was very creative, but she seemed to enjoy drawing crows quite a bit.

Then she did something that seemed to become for frequent lately, she began to rub her arm. He didn't know why really, he had a little thought on it but pushed it aside hoping it wasn't that. Instead he just hugged her from the side, she rested against him and sighed out.

"I have to go home soon" She said looking up the boy, he just nodded. After several moments the pair began to gather their things, gave a hug goodbye, and Annie left. Armin had to clean up the house before his grandfather came home, so he couldn't walk her home, he didn't like leaving her to walk alone in the dark for half an hour.

Annie walked through the dark streets quietly. The street lights didn't help her see much, she saw things much better when there was no light around. The occasional car passed every once in a while too. The night was cold, she liked it. The stingy cold feeling on her face was nice. But the fear she was experiencing was still there.

She loved Armin to bits, she never really knew what love was untill she met him, but she was also afraid of him. For what reason she didn't know much, she knew it was because of him but Armin wasn't like that, was he?

Her mind was wild again. She stopped by a log beside the footpath and sat on it, heavily sighing and covering her face with her hands. Then her phone began to ring loudly. She jumped a little at the sound and took the phone from her pocket. It was Bert, now why was he calling?

"Annie?!" The voice on the other line sounded a little worried and strained out, Annie was a bit confused now. "Annie, where are you? We have to pick you up RIGHT NOW" He said, she looked up at a sign and told him the address to where she was. About five minutes later a car pulled up and Annie hopped in.

"Whats going on?" She asked as she put on her seatbelt quickly as Reiner did a U turn and began driving towards town. Bert and Reiner exchanged a glance for a breif moment before Bert turned and gave Annie an awkward, yet upset, smile.

"We don't really know..we were just told to collect you right away, Mum sounded worried" He said turning to face forward again. Annie sighed again and relaxed into the seat. Atleast she didn't have to walk home.

The car ride was long though, people were starting to come home from work so the roads were full. Reiner tapped his fingers on the steering wheel impatiently. Annie was starting to feel uneasy, why did they collect her? And why was mum worried? She had many questions that the boys could not answered because they didn't know either.

After what seemed to be hours, they arrived home. Reiner parked up the car on the driveway. There was a mysterious black car parked up on the footpath in front of the house. Reiner and Bert exchanged confused glances and looked down to Annie, shrugging, guessing that she was just as confused as they were.

The three made their way to the front door, Reiner unlocked the door and let Annie and Bert in first before entering himself and closing the door behind him.

"We're home!" He called out as the three took off their jackets and hung them up.

"Good! Three of ye into the sitting room okay?" Called out Jasper from the kitchen. The three went into the sitting room and were greeting by Wolf. He was happy to see them and yipped in excitment, looking for play. Annie sat on the ground, rolling him over with her hand and letting him attack it. The pup distracted her again, into a new world. It was weird. Its as if all the other people and things around them didn't exist any more. She liked this world.

Wolf then had enough of playing, his attention span was short and he wanted to play with his toys now. Growling playfully, he tackled a rubber rabbit toy and chewed on it for a while. Annie got up from the floor and went over to Bert and Reiner, sitting in between them.

"So, you don't know whats going on?" She asked, it was like a challenge. She had a feeling they might know why she had to be rushed home straight away, and why there was a strange car out the front.

"We honestly don't know, Mum and Dad sound a little...distressed and wanted you home right away" Reiner said, his voice didn't betray him though, he sounded like he was telling the truth.

An hour had passed when finally Jasper and Wendy came into the room. They sent Reiner and Bert out and sat down beside Annie. Bert and Reiner left hesitantly though. Wolf quickly followed behind when Reiner called him to go out the back, potty training him

"Okay Annie, you know how we're only foster caring you, right?" Jasper said in a saddened tone. He looked to Annie and smiled a fake smile. "The Social worker's have apparently found relations to you that will take you in, we don't know who though"

Annie wasn't sure what to say. For the first time in her life she was happy, she had two brothers, a huge group of friends, a nice town and the two best parents you could get...And she was going to be forced to loose all of it? She had many mixed feelings about this. Number one being, who was her relation? She didn't know anybody related to her apart from her blood parents. But her mother wasn't on this earth any longer and her father...well. He literally abandoned her at the social services office. Telling her he'd be back from the bathrooms in a few. But he never did come back.

So who was this other person? Two, she did not want to go live with a stranger. She had partly known the Hoovers since they visited her in the childerns home a few times before taking her in to prove they were loyal since she was in a depressive state at the time and trusted nobody. And three, she had a life now, a good one. She was NOT going to give it up without a fight.

Jasper did most of the talking, explaining how they were powerless to the situation and that this relation had agreed to take her in. He also explained the most painful part of the situation. The fact that the relation lived in Ireland, so visiting was next to impossible since Wendy and Jasper had full time jobs and might not get any time, which they hugely apoligised for. But they did say Reiner and Bert could be sent over for a week to visit.

But even worse was the fact that Wolf could not come. Because Wolf was only two months old, travelling would be impossible untill he was six months old atleast. By that stage he would've forgotten who she was. Which she agreed with since she's only had the pup a few days now. She would missed him. She had been training him, looking after him. And the pup would look after her too, in his own way. By keeping her busy and distracted from thoughts.

Wendy gave Annie a hug before the boys were allowed in. Annie made an excuse to need the bathroom while Jasper and Wendy explained what was going on to the boys.

Annie flung a bottle of shampoo at the wall after locking the bathroom door and sitting down, leaning on the door. She hugged her knee's and cried into them. She lifted the sleeve of her hoodie and scratched it like mad, it bled so much that it dripped on the ground. She whipped it up with a paper towel and flushed it down the toilet before sitting back down against the door again.

"Urg!" She hit her fist of the tiled wall, it left a sharp, yet satisfying sting in her knuckles. She hit it again, and again and again untill her had was numb, now both her arms were dead. After a few moments there was a soft knocking on the door. It was Reiner.

"Annie, ya al'rite?" He asked, it was a dumb question and Annie couldn't help but crack a smile, he was so oblivious that he wouldn't have guessed what she was doing. She got up and opened the door, flinging her arms around him, flinching a bit at the pain in them and sighing.

"Gonna miss you, big brother" She sniffled as he wrapped his arms around her and cackling a saddened laugh.

"Me too, lil' sis" They broke the embrace and Annie leaned against the wall.

"I had just gotten attached to this place..and now I'm going back to Ireland. My accent is all fucked up now, its like a mix of Scottish and Irish now, the Irish kids will kill me for it. Irish people are..annoying" She droned on, Reiner listened though, And so did Bert when he came upstairs to see if they were okay.

"Hey Annie, we can play video games tonight. We got some of that Monster stuff stashed in our room" Reiner whispered as they trotted down the stairs to spend some time with their parents. Bert nodded and gave Annie big pleading puppy dog eyes.

"Yeah, please? We can teach you how to play" He begged as they reached the bottom of the stairs and stood in the hallway for a few moments.

Annie nodded, agreeing to play some games tonight. Bert also told her that she had another month or so before everything was ready for her to head back to Ireland. She was not looking forward to it. All she could think about now is how her friends would an aching came into her chest and a churn in her stomach. One person came to mind then.

How was Armin going to react?

:D Yay, Done, Woo. So um. All the crap I said about Ireland. Well *handsintheair* I live there, so I know about the crap here. So eh yes. I am offending my friends in a way xD
