They stayed quiet after that. The redhead princess bit her bottom lip, worrying on her sister's reaction after her revelation. Elsa was still, her outside expression was contrary with the storm that was raging in both her head and heart.
"Elsa?" Anna was terrified. She was terrified to herself and now she was terrified on her sister. The quiet was so overwhelming that she couldn't stand it any longer. She was sure her lips had bled by now.
"Say something." Anna whimpered desperately. "Please, Elsa. I don't know why but I can't… don't play silence with me, please."
Elsa's hand which still rested on Anna's shoulder twitched. The queen blinked as if she just snapped out to her sense. "Anna…" There were so many words inside her head but none of it was making sense even for herself. The fact that her little sister had been trying to kill herself was the one she could never believe. "We will figure it out… somehow. You didn't do that thing. You said that you just remember a part of it. Something must've had happened that day."
Anna shook her head, "No Elsa! I'm pretty clear! It's so clear that it scares me! I stepped on the gas and intended to kill myself by wrecking my car!"
"STOP!" Elsa cut Anna's words harshly. She didn't shout but her cold blue eyes reflecting deep anger and hurt. Anna caught it as betrayal.
"Stop it." Elsa repeated weakly. "First… let's go home. We can reschedule the examination for next week."
"Elsa?"
"… what?"
"You've been avoiding my eyes the whole time." Anna pointed out. "You are mad at me."
Elsa gasped, "… No, you are wrong. I feel so many things right now. Anger is one of them but believe me… none of them are directed to you."
"You blame yourself." Anna concluded now that the anger moved to her. "It's not your fault! It's my fucking own doing! You can't blame everything I do on my own as your fault!"
"Of course it is my fault Anna! I am your sister!"
"That doesn't make you responsible to anything I have done!"
"It does, Anna! It does! I am the older one! I have responsible on you! I didn't even know what you have been feeling until now. I am a terrible sister."
Anna slumped back to the bed. She recalled the flash she had had moment ago.
She threw her phone to the passenger seat. She was frustrated, angry, and confused. She felt she had run out of choices and now she only had one thing to do.
She opened the dashboard and pulled her gun out. With her hand she contemplated her choice. Her gun would do it fast and it would only hurt for a mere second before she could never feel anything. The gun would finish the job well and without fail. After spending several minutes considering the weight metal on her hand, her sight shifted to the wheel in front of her. There was a cliffy path in front of her.
Her phone vibrated. She didn't need to see the caller ID.
She had the choice but she also needed to execute it precise and quickly. The messier the better.
She accelerated her car toward the end of the cliff.
.
It had been 2 days since the event in the hospital. The same flash kept occurring even in her sleep. Now Anna was like a walking zombie with dark circle around her eyes. She wanted to press the blue button but she couldn't make herself to do it. Usually it was so easy to press it but now something was holding her back. It seemed that the 'avoiding each other' game was played between both sisters.
Elsa had been occupying herself with works and even Anna could only see Elsa occasionally. Their contact was simple greeting every morning before Elsa gone to work and Anna hid herself inside her room.
The flashes that now had turned into nightmare also affect Anna's eating pattern. Even Kai became concerned when the redhead princess didn't even touch the special chocolate dessert he had prepared for the princess's breakfast. He didn't know what was bothering both sisters that now even chocolates couldn't fix it.
Today Anna found a piece of paper along with her breakfast tray. It was from Elsa that informed her about a fencing tutor who would come over today.
Anna smiled a little on the sight of Elsa's writing. "She can text me or something…" but still, it was one of Elsa's ways to cheer her up and she would never waste it away.
The fencing tutor turned out to be the noble. Kai said that he was a duke but the most fun one.
"Princess Anna." He bowed a little. Anna was surprised when she found her fencing tutor was rather short. Shorter than her even. Her tutor was a handsome man in her 30's despite his height, Anna immediately was captured by his friendly smile.
Anna recalled the guy's name Kai had mentioned before. "Sir Olaf." She nodded a little. It was quite overwhelming when the noble looking at her. She felt she was being observed under his rich warm brown eyes.
"You don't remember me." He said with the lightest tone and Anna immediately liked him.
"You know the story."
"Not everybody knows, your highness. But, I picked the hints." He winked playfully.
"…" Anna didn't know what to say. Somehow she felt great familiarity with the guy in front of her.
"Sir Olaf…"
"Hmm?" Olaf mused while pulling two fencing swords out from a wooden box. He weighted both swords and after he was satisfied with their balance, he turned.
"What are we going to do today?"
Olaf winked again before handing out one of the sword to Anna. "I am your fencing tutor. Let's fence."
She awkwardly accepted the sword.
"The queen wanted me to not do anything that will exert the princess." He took a step back and made a comfortable distance from Anna.
Anna tilted her head. Her arm wasn't in sling anymore and she could do basic chores with both her hands just fine. However she still had some difficulties to move fast her injured arm. So Anna shifted the sword to her other hand. Oddly enough, she felt most comfortable in that position.
Olaf nodded, looked satisfied. "It seems your body begins to remember, your highness."
"Was I good with this thing?" Anna asked. She knew she was good with firearms but how familiar she was with the fencing sword, she still didn't know.
"I hate to admit it. But you are more natural than me."
It was both exciting and terrifying experience for the redhead princess. Exciting because fencing with sir Olaf turned out to be fun and it was terrifying how fast her body could re-learn everything even an advance movement in one day.
"Olaf, sir?" Anna was still adjusting her breath. They decided to take a break after done 5 rounds trial with Anna trying to take score from Olaf who would only do defense.
"Yes?"
"Why do you think I learn this kind of… sport?" Anna frowned. Her hand was still holding the hilt. "I just found out I was also good with guns few days ago." Anna shrugged. "What kind of person was I before my accident? Was I a bad person?"
Olaf chuckled, "my dear… you don't even have an evil bone in your body." Anna was slightly surprised as what Olaf was calling her. Honestly, it sounded warm and pleasant.
Perhaps her troubled expression that made Olaf finally sighed and began to explain. "It was few years ago… days when the late king and queen were still here and loved both of you so greatly…" Olaf was quiet for few seconds. Anna guessed that the noble was momentarily grieving. Anna wanted to cry not because she was mourning her parents but because she couldn't even remember the warmth of her father and mother.
"The king said you have massive energy that needs good use." Anna smiled. She knew that Olaf had rephrased her father's words.
"However, even before the king asked me to take you under my wing, you have showed me your interest in sword. You asked me about the 'thing' that rested on my hips. I explain that this thing… is a weapon called sword. Then you asked me back if it is yummy."
Anna smiled. She could totally imagine her child-self that had no knowledge beyond anything except chocolate, her parents, and Elsa.
"After that you became more curious about my sword. It had made the queen frustrated and angry with me. She said I shouldn't have told you about any weapon. The king knew and both the king and I reached an agreement. That we need to train you with swords. Honestly, princess. A curious redhead princess of Arendelle is more dangerous than a platoon of army. First you were curious and next day perhaps you could've stabbed someone accidentally with a sword."
Anna pouted. Her self-control had been underestimated since long ago.
"In other words, we didn't believe you around dangerous stuffs yet. So, the king asked me to teach you fencing. To satisfy your curiosity. Then… fencing became your favorite class in a week."
"I can relate with that feeling even now… it's fun." Anna said.
Olaf seemed considering for a while before he continued. "However, after the king and queen passed away… you changed. It was very obvious me that you train your fencing skill not only because you enjoy and like it. There appeared another reason as well. A noble one."
Anna frowned, didn't understand.
"You want to be strong. So you can protect your sister."
.
Inside the precinct of Arendelle police department, Kristoff sipped his fourth cup of coffee for the night. Sven who was sitting in front of him was buried between some postponed paper works they had.
"You look pale." Sven started. The blond detective only scoffed. When it was only the two of them, somehow his partner became the most talkative one. "Don't tell me that you are worried about the princess."
Kristoff snorted, "don't start it. You are not even there when she suddenly collapse. I thought she was dead or something. If she died, my head will fly out of my neck."
Sven threw a look at him, "you know that we don't have death sentence here. Especially one involves guillotines."
Kristoff rolled his eyes, "yes, I know. But God knows what will the queen do if something happens to the princess. Perhaps guillotine will out."
Sven pushed stack of new documents to kristoff's desk. "You do fine."
"I hope so." He groaned at the new fresh paperwork. He had to take overtime again tonight. "Is this document report for traffic violation? What the hell? We are detectives!"
"You are a detective. I am still police officer."
"Wait… is this your work? You want me to do your work?"
"… No, idiot. Look closely… these are data I was talking about with the queen the other day. You should read the report when the princess was pulled over because violating a red light and here when she drove over the speed limit."
Sven took the first document in a disc. "I've converted it for you. This is the first January when she was pulled over because she missed a red light."
"Miss, may I see your license, please?"
"… Really? You are kidding right?" Anna's voice sounded a little huskier and tired.
"No, maam. You miss the red light."
"Who cares about red light! It's a new year and I'm having the worst day ever! My sister ditched me alone, a creeps follow me around, and now you guys gonna give me a ticket?!"
"I'm not drunk!" Anna sounded offended.
"Your ticket, maam." The officer continued.
"Fine! If only you knew who my sister is…"
Kristoff was expecting the officer's reaction when he knew that he just pulled over a princess of his country. But the record was being cut there.
"You got it?" Sven raised an eyebrow.
"Got what?"
"The princess's words. She said someone was following her…"
"… She is a princess. Perhaps it's a reporter or something."
"Play the next part. It's February 14th. The princess drove over the speed limit."
"Miss, your license, please?"
"… Thank God! I thought you guys are one of the creeps. Trust me, I have good reason this time. I need to deliver this chocolate to my sister before midnight. If you brave officers would kindly let me go…"
"I can't do that, maam. I have to give you a ticket."
"Fine… quick give me one."
The record ended.
"You got it?" Sven asked again.
"The creeps?" Now that everything clicked for Kristoff.
Sven nodded, "last record."
"Good evening, maam… ah, princess." The traffic officers of all area in Arendelle now had memorized the princess and her habit to break traffic law.
"I know, you want my license, right. Just in time. For your information, you have no idea what you have done. I'm in the middle of investigation! It's a matter of national security!" The princess grumbled in annoyance.
"… License, please…"
The record ended there.
"This time she said she was investigating something. Considering the princess's character, perhaps it wasn't something serious… but…"
"The accident happened." Both finally reached a conclusion.

"Your majesty…" Kai knocked the queen's office while warily looking around his surrounding. The queen's order was clear. He may not be seen by anyone while carrying out this order.
"Enter."
Kai opened the door and watched the queen who was sitting behind her huge mahogany desk. Same like Anna, the queen had dark circles under her eyes too. Kai worried for both sisters but he believed the queen would've asked help if she needed him. Like what she was doing now.
"It's done, your majesty." Kai approached Elsa's desk and put a small box on the queen's desk.
"Are you sure that you don't need me to tell the princess? It's hers afterall."
Elsa lifted her hand, a gesture for him to stop speaking. "No. Thank you. I appreciate what you do for us. I can only trust you in this matter. You can leave."
Kai nodded and did as he was told.
After Kai left, Elsa reached for the box and opened it. She took out the content. It was fixed and the memory inside it had been restored.
Elsa was holding Anna's old cell phone.
