Author's Note: This is short, and albeit probably not my best work, but I had this entire chapter written somewhere and it got lost in the chaos. So, here's the general idea of what I wanted. I wanted to give everyone closure with this story. Thank you for reading!

Charley Brewster went years without seeing his sister again. She'd gone off, leaving her family for a vampire that she'd fallen in love with…
He often wondered if it was fair - that Evelina had sacrificed herself to save them all from a man that had brainwashed her. Was she really even in love with Jerry? He didn't know if he'd ever find out.
It wasn't until his father's funeral that he saw her again, lurking in the shadows of the trees. But she didn't approach anyone – she'd just simply disappeared into the forest nearby.
He saw her again, at their mother's funeral, but this time she was able to approach him as it was a dark, dreary day filled with rain. It matched his mood perfectly. His mother had always been there for him and she had always been there for Evelina when she'd remembered her.
"Charley," her voice caught him off guard. He glanced over to face her, surprised to see her. He didn't know if he would ever get over the fact that she would never look a day over eighteen.
Her eyes scanned him sadly, taking in his middle-aged appearance. He hadn't grown in height, but he was no longer the thin, lanky teenager that she'd grown up with. She gave him a sad smile.
"Evelina," he whispered out, glancing around. "What are you doing here?"
She placed a single rose on the ground and he was amazed by how people continued on as if she wasn't there.
"She was my mom, too, Charley." He remained silent. "How was she?"
"What?" He glanced over at her, surprised.
"Was she happy?" Evie glanced up at him, her head tilted to the side.
"She was," he admitted with a nod. "She really was… She started to remember you, you know. Towards the end – she asked about you a lot."
"What'd you tell her?"
"Just kept saying you'd visit when you could," he whispered, looking away.
"I see you married Amy," she changed the subject as she glanced over towards the line of cars nearby. Amy was standing with a small boy, holding an umbrella over both of them. "And had a kid. Ooh, Charley."
He gave her a half-smile.
"How have you been?"
"Oh, you know… dead," she shrugged nonchalantly.
"Where's Jerry?"
"He's waiting nearby. He didn't want to come – thought it was inappropriate."
Charley nodded solemnly. "I miss you, Ev."
"I miss you, too, dork," she gave him a smile. "I'll see you again."
"Will you?"
She did see him again. This time, it was at Amy's funeral about ten years later. Charley was standing with his son and daughter. They'd interacted a bit more and he'd introduced Evelina to his children as a distant relative. She'd been elated to meet her niece and nephew, even if they didn't know who she really was.
The last time that she saw Charley Brewster was when he was being lowered into the ground some years later.
Jerry came with her that time, urging her to wait until after everyone left. He'd explained to her that it would be easier for her to let go this way – not to get close to Charley's kids and have to go through the pain anymore.
"He was my twin," she breathed out as she approached the headstone once everyone had cleared out. "He was my twin and I abandoned him."
"You saved him," Jerry informed. "And Amy, and your mom, and that idiot vampire hunter."
She gave a small smile, but it didn't meet her eyes. "I should be here, buried right next to him…"
"But you're not," Jerry brought her in for a hug. "You're still here. It'll get easier."
"Will it?"
"It will," he nodded.
With a sigh, she placed a single rose down on his grave as she had with her parents and Amy before him. She gave a small smile down at the headstone.
"I love you, Charley."
And as the wind swept through her hair in response, she gave a small laugh. Unsure if it was him or not, but willing to pretend that it was.
