"Yes!" she had a wide smile on her face and started eating.

They arrived at the hospital around noon with some breakfast and a decaf coffee for Kate. Phoebe was holding Rick's hand and walked with him. They knocked on her door.

"Come in," she said and sat up. Rick and Phoebe walked in and Phoebe rushed to her mom. "Mommy!" she jumped on the bed and hugged her.

"Hey Baby. How was it with your dad?" she ruffled Phoebe's hair. "It was so cool, daddy made me pancakes. And daddy said I get to decide what I want in my room at the loft; he said that when you are better we'll all go shopping." A big smile was on the little girls face.

"Oh did he now?" Kate looked at Castle with a raised eyebrow.

"Well yeah I thought she would need a room at my place too and I don't have any idea what girls like so I thought I would let her decide what she wants... is that ok?" He came closer to her and sat on the chair.

"Yeah sure, of course that's ok." She smiled and hugged Phoebe closer. Phoebe buried her head in her mother's shoulder. "The doctor said if my vitals are good I can go home this afternoon, but I would have to stay with someone or have someone to stay with me. "

"I'm staying with you mommy." Phoebe looked at her mother with a smile.

"It has to be an adult, sorry sweetie." Kate said caressing Phoebe's cheek.

"Daddy can stay with us, he is an adult and then we can spend time with him."

"Phoebe I don't think Rick will have time to stay with us. I don't think he wants to take care of me."

Phoebe looked at her dad. "Daddy, don't you want to stay with us?"

"Only if it's okay with your mommy, I would love to spend more time with you and I can take of you and your mom." He looked at Kate seriously.

"Rick you don't have to, I can just ask Lanie to help us." She sat up a little more.

They talked about it a little more and decided that Rick was going to stay with Kate and Phoebe, this way he could spent more time with Phoebe and Kate had someone to help them and take care of them. The doctor came a few hours later and gave them the final okay to go. They packed up Kate's stuff and got a wheelchair for her.

Together they drove home and got them settled in. They made a short stop at Rick's to pick some clothes and stuff for him. Rick made lunch for Kate and Phoebe and they ate together.

"Daddy, can we watch a movie?" Phoebe jumped up and down.

"Sure sweetie let's ask you mom if she wants to watch with us." And immediately Phoebe was standing next to her mother. "Mommy, do you want to watch a movie with me and daddy?"

"Sure Baby, we can watch here in the bed. Maybe your daddy can make some popcorn too." Phoebe had a big smile on her face and nodded enthusiastically and ran back to her dad.

"Mommy said we can watch it in bed and that maybe you could make some popcorn."

"Of course, Sweetie." Rick took out a pack of popcorn and put it in the microwave. "How about you pick a movie and put it in.

"Okay, Daddy." Phoebe went to pick up a movie and ran to her mom and put it in.

Rick waited until the popcorn was ready and put it in a bowl. He walked to his two girls and sat down on the bed beside Phoebe. He wrapped an arm around them and together they watched the movie. Phoebe slowly fell asleep against her dad's shoulder and Rick kissed the girl's head.

Kate looked at Rick lovingly. She loved him and she wanted him back. Of course Kate knew that what she did was really terrible and that he couldn't possibly forgive her that soon and that he would never come back to her and be with her. Yes he said he still loved her, but he would never come back to her.

Rick looked at Kate. He thought about their time back when they were together, how happy they were and how happy they could be again. He still loved her so much and now there was Phoebe, he wanted to spend as much time as possible with her. He wanted to be with Kate, to kiss her, make love to her, to marry her.

Their eyes locked. Rick leaned in closer to Kate, without even thinking about it. Kate leaned in too and closed the distance. The kiss was soft and slow. Neither of them pulled away but neither deepened it. They were lost in each other until they heard Phoebe wake up. Suddenly both of them pulled away.

"Hey Phoebe, are you hungry?" Rick asked her.

"A little..." Phoebe sat up and got out of bed. "Can we make pizza? I want pizza!"

"Sure, if it's okay with your mom." He looked at Kate who just nodded and smiled. "Well then, let's go." He got up and took Phoebe's hand; together they went into the kitchen and started making the dough.

Phoebe and Rick had a lot of fun when Kate rolled out of the bedroom. She looked at them and smiled.

Phoebe was sitting on the counter, flour all over her face, laughing at her father. Rick was also covered in flour, throwing the dough in the air.

Kate smiled at the sight of the two of them, this was her family... at least she hoped it was. She wanted him to be with her and she wanted this to be her family, Phoebe, Rick and her. A beautiful little family.

She rolled her wheelchair to them. "Hey you two." She smiled at Rick and Phoebe.

"Hey, what do you want on your pizza? Sausage, bacon, olives, onions, what do you want?" he looked at her, ready to put everything on her pizza.

"Uhm... I want sausage and pepper."

"Your wish is my command." And he put sausage and pepper on her pizza, bacon, onion and paprika on his and sausage on Phoebe's. He shoved them in the oven and rolled Kate to the living room, where Phoebe sat on the couch. They turned the TV on and waited until the pizza was done. Together they ate.
