''We need help now!'' Sam screamed rushing thru the hospital doors. As he held Mercedes in his arms. She was soo pale and lifeless. Soo bloody. The nurses came running towards Sam. ''Get a stretcher now!'' One of the RN Nurse screamed aloud. Mercedes was laid on the stretcher by Sam. Then she was quickly carried off. Sam,Meredith,Mary and Dwight all followed. ''We're going to need all of you to wait and the waiting room.'' ''Sir,I'm going to need you to wait in the waiting room.'' The doctor told Sam. But,Sam keep walking towards the emergency room. Mercedes was being worked on. Needles,IV and ventilator were all benign administered. ''I'm going to have to get security.'' ''If you don't stop Sir.'' Sam ignored the doctor yet again. So he called for the security. ''Sam,please stop.'' ''Mercedes needs you when she comes back to us!'' Mary sobbed. Son stop. Dwight wrapped his arms around Sam. But,Sam kept moving dragging Dwight along with him. Meredith was at a lost for words. She just stared at Mercedes thru the clear class. As the doctors worked on her. Security came. Sam still wouldn't listen. Dwight still had his arms wrapped around him. ''Sir,we can't allow access to this emergency room.'' I'' know this is hard,but we're kindly asking you to stop walking towards the door.'' Four hug tall security guards. Stood in Sam's way. ''Come on son.'' ''This isn't what Mercedes would want.'' ''You'll get to see her and the baby.'' ''I promise.'' ''As soon as the doctors help them.'' Sam in a instant rage. Flung is dad to the floor. Tacked the first Security guard. Punching him in the face. Before Sam could attend anything else. He was hit in the face so hard with a nightstick. Sam flew to the hard floor. Loosing his breath for a few minutes. ''Was that fucking necessary to hit my son with such force?!'' Dwight yelled at the security guard. Who hit Sam holding the nightstick in his hand. Mary clung to Sam as he gasp for breath. Sam had passed out. He was brought to a waiting room. Where he was laid down. The security apologized to Mary and Dwight. But,Dwight told them they would be hearing from his lawyers. If Sam had any serious head trauma injuries. As Sam laid still unconscious.
Meredith blocked out Sam confrontation with the hospital security. All she could think about was her daughter. And praying that both her child and grandchild will survive. Meredith stood there with a blink expression on her face. Her eyes never left Mercedes. Until the doctor approached her. ''Excuse,ma'am.'' ''Are you related to the patient.'' The doctor asked Meredith. Meredith quickly snapped out her thoughts on her daughter. Yes,I'm related to the patient. She's my daughter. ''Mercedes Jones.'' ''Can you please tell me what's happening to her and the baby?'' ''Mercedes is hemorrhaging and her cervix can't hold the baby anymore.'' ''She's needs a c-section now.'' ''Or else the baby will go in distress.'' ''Mercedes is already set and ready for the procedure.'' ''I need your promise to do the surgery.'' ''Yes,please to the procedure.'' ''Do what ever needs to be done to save my daughter and grand-daughter please!'' Meredith told the doctor as tears fell from her eyes. He nodded and told Meredith that he was going to do what ever it takes to help Mercedes and the baby. Meredith legs and feet went numb. As she watch the nurses wheel Mercedes lifeless body to an elevator. Mercedes was being moved to another room were she would be operated on. She was about to fall to the floor,but Dwight caught her in time. ''Are you alright?'' ''Oh,god where is Mercedes''….''Don't tell me she and the baby didn't make it?!'' Dwight panicked looking at the empty emergency room being cleaned by people who worked there. ''No,no,no.'' Meredith shook her head. She legs and feet weren't feeling weak anymore. ''Mercedes has to get a c-section.'' ''She is hemorrhaging and the doctor said the best thing to do is the baby out now.'' ''So,Mercedes is being operated on now.'' Dwight took a deep breath. Calming himself. ''Is Sam okay?'' Meredith asked Dwight. ''Well,he passed out from the blow to the face.'' Dwight said with anger in his voice. He was going to sue the fuck out the hospital if a permanent injury happened to Sam. ''I can't seat down here and wait like this.'' ''I'm a nervous wreck Dwight!'' ''Meredith go up to the floor Mercedes is being operated on.'' ''And when Sam comes to.'' ''He'll be up there too along with Mary and I.'' ''She's your daughter I understand. '' ''Meredith got in the elevator.'' Dwight headed for Sam's room. When he got there Sam was awake. And a little light headed. But,answered a few questions. When the doctor checked his head injury. Sam needed a few stitches. Sam couldn't wait to get to Mercedes and his daughter. Dwight had told Sam and Mary everything he knew. Sam along with Dwight and Mary finally made it up stairs to the waiting room. They all waited for almost 2 hours. But,the doctor finally can out to tell them the news. Now whether it was going to be good or bad that's what they all prepared themselves for.
The doctor came walking towards them. Everyone stood. ''I'm sorry for not introducing myself earlier.' ''I'm Dr. Edward.'' Everyone nodded. ''So,I'll get straight to it.'' ''Mercedes had a hemorrhage and her cervix couldn't hold the baby any longer.'' ''Is the baby alright?!'' Sam blurted out scared. ''Yes,she's a couple of weeks early.'' ''But,she'll be find.'' ''And Mercedes wait about her?'' ''I guess your the boyfriend and father right.'' ''Yes,I'm Mercedes husband.'' ''Sam Evans.'' Mercedes mother and Sam's parents. Looked at him questioning that statement. Because,they were sure Sam and Mercedes weren't married. Unless,they weren't informed on the nuptials. ''Well,I stopped the bleeding.'' ''But,there was some scarred tissue that had to be removed in her cervix which will take time to heal.'' ''In the future her getting pregnant again this very well may happen again.'' Sam was sad about that news. But,atleast Mercedes was alive and the baby was healthy. ''We can I see Mercedes?'' Sam asked . ''Actually you can see Mercedes now,but one at a time only.'' ''Your daughter she's in the nursery unit you can also see her too.'' Dr. Edward told them. ''Sam you go be with Mercedes.'' ''We'll go see the baby,okay.'' Meredith told Sam. Sam nodded. Following the doctor to Mercedes room. Meredith,Mary and Dwight was led to the nursery unit by a nurse. Sam entered the room Mercedes was recovering in. The tears instantly fall from his eyes. He dropped to his knees at her bedside. Sam was overcome with sorrow. ''You got to get better Mercy.'' ''You hear me.'' ''We are going to get married.'' ''Watch our daughter grow up together.'' Sam reached in his pocket pulling out a diamond engagement ring. Sam had it in his pocket the whole dinner. He was going to propose to Mercedes. Infront of everybody. But,things didn't go as planned. Starting with Shane and Katy showing up at the dinner. Sam placed the ring on Mercedes hand. Kissing it. ''Wow,she looks soo much like Sam.'' Meredith said. Smiling at her granddaughter tho the clear glass window. As the nurses tend to babies in the nursery unit. Yeah,she does Mary smiled agreeing with Meredith. Dwight nodded agreeing with both Meredith and Mary.
Sam hated to leave Mercedes side,but he knew. That he needed to meet. His daughter for the first time. Sam kissed Mercedes on the lips softly. ''I love you,please wake up soon babe.'' He asked the nurses to keep an eye on Mercedes while he was gone. Sam made it to the nursery unit of the hospital. Where all the newborns are kept. He prepared himself. For this meeting. The first time he would be seeing his daughter. Walking up to his parents and mother-in-law. They were all in a conversation. With wide smiles on there face. Sam eyes locked on his daughter. As he looked at her thru the clear glass. He didn't even have to asked which baby was his. He knew it was his daughter. She looked just like him. Fair skin. The lips. Green/hazel eyes his nose. The only thing his daughter didn't have from him was blonde hair. She had Mercedes brown curly hair. ''God she's beautiful.'' Sam spoke. He was breathless taken away by his daughter. She was the split image of him. There was no mistake. Tears fell from his eyes,because this was supposed to be Sam and Mercedes moment together. Holding their new baby girl in each other arms. It's a bitter sweet moment. Mary wrapped her arms around her son. ''Sammy everything is going to be fine.'' He didn't speak he just breath in slow breathes looking at his daughter thru the clear glass. Dwight just looked on at his son. Feeling nothing be sympathy. He couldn't imagine how his son felt right now. Meredith left to go be with Mercedes. When she made it to Mercedes room. She instantly broke down. All Meredith wanted was for her daughter to wake up. ''Baby girl you have to wake up.'' ''There's a little girl waiting to meet her mother.'' ''She's so beautiful and looks like Sam,but has your beautiful brown curly hair.''
Mercedes talk and talk to Mercedes for atleast an hour. Until,the nurse told her that visiting hours were over. But,Sam was aloud to stay with Mercedes in her room. He wasn't going home. Not without Mercedes and their daughter. Meredith,Mary and Dwight all headed home. And would be back tomorrow. When they all made it home it was well late. Everyone was tired. But,Meredith was to have it out with Luther tonight. Luther was sitting on the couch he couldn't go to sleep until he knew Mercedes and the baby was alright. Mary and Dwight didn't even bother speaking to him. They just went upstairs to check on the children and get some rest. ''Is Mercedes and the baby okay?'' He spoke not looking his wife in the eyes. Hm,it's not like you care anyway. But,yes,Mercedes is in stable condition. She was hemorrhaging they stopped the bleeding. But,to save the baby a c-section was performed. Yes,they're both fine. But,you Luther will get on your knees and beg Mercedes for her forgiveness. ''And you owe sam the most sincere apology you've ever given in your life.'' ''Because,you acted like a jack ass Luther.'' ''And Mercedes loves Sam and loves our daughter.'' ''You can't keep them apart so you might as well accept Sam into our family.'' Meredith rolled her eyes at Luther going to bed. She was getting up in a few hours to go back to the hospital. And he damn sure was going with her. Everyone got up and headed for the hospital. The kids had no ideal what was going on. But,knew something wasn't right. Shane asked where is mother was and was told. He was going to see her soon.
Sam had woke up kissed Mercedes on the lips. Smiling done on her. Before he headed to the bathroom. To freshen up. While he was in the bathroom. Meredith,Luther and Shayden walked in Mercedes room. Shayden immediately ran to his mother's bedside. He didn't say a word. He just stared at her. ''Shay is there anything you want to say to your mom?'' Meredith asked her grandson. He shook his head sadly. Luther looked at his daughter. And he finally broke down. Walking over to her bedside. ''I'm so sorry babygirl I was being a stubborn fool.'' ''You have the right to love and be with who ever you want.'' ''I thought I was protecting you,but I was doing was pushing you away.'' ''I'm truly sorry Mercedes you're my heart my only daughter I love you so much.'' ''Please wake up and be okay.'' Sam listened to Mercedes father heartfelt apology. He just wish Luther would've come to his senses when Mercedes was able to here it. Sam opened the bathroom door walking out. Shayden ran to him hugging him. ''Is my mommy going to be okay dad.'' ''Sam picked Shayden up hugging him.'' ''Yes,mommy is going to be fine.'' ''Now I need you to be a big boy can you do that for daddy?'' Shayden nodded. ''Okay,would like to meet your sister?'' ''Yes.'' The little boy spoke wiping away his tears. ''Come on honey bun.'' ''I'll take you to see your baby sister.'' Shayden took his grandmother hand. ''You two play nice.'' Meredith glared at her husband and son in-law. Luther wiped the tears from his eyes. He stood up straight. Looking Sam in the eyes. ''Sam I want to apologize for the way I treated you.'' ''I just want the best for my daughter.'' ''I know you love her I see it all in your face the way you look her.'' ''I'm sorry.'' Luther raised his hand for Sam to shake. Sam didn't shake his hand. ''I respect that you apologize to me.'' ''But,I can't accept your apology right now.'' ''Right now I'm so pissed I really can stand the site of you.'' ''But,you're my finance and wife to be father.'' ''That's the only reason I haven't snapped and ripped your face off.'' ''Because,of Mercy.'' Sam said rubbing the diamond ring on Mercedes hand. He looked up at Luther. ''The best thing you can do right now is go meet your granddaughter.'' Luther just nodded at walked out the room. ''Is that my sister?'' Shayden asked looking thru the clear nursery glass. ''Yes,it is honey.'' Meredith smiled. ''She looks like Sammy!'' Stacey said excitedly Stevie agreed shaking his head. Everyone was having a moment looking at the newest Evans/Jones member. Luther arrived his face lit up seeing his granddaughter for the first time. ''Babe,I'm going to go check on our daughter.'' Sam kissed Mercedes on the lip. She still hadn't woken up yet. He held her hand and just before he was going to let go. And get up. Mercedes hand gripped his. Her eyes slowly open. ''Mercy?''

Mercedes and Sam were married. ''Marci baby don't put chocolate pudding all over over mommy's floor please.'' Mercedes blow out a grasp. She really didn't want to clean her kitchen again. She could lost it,hemorrhage again. Sam didn't want neither to happen. ''Mercedes wake up.'' Sam shook her arm. Trying to wake her. ''Sammy not now babe.'' ''Give me another hour than we can go at it again.'' She moaned sleepily. ''This can't wait.'' ''We need to talk now!'' ''Mercedes knew that tone in his voice.'' She sat up wrapping the covers around her naked body. She flicked on the night lap. Sam looked pissed at her. ''Sam what's wrong?'' He didn't say a word.
