I once again return to District 12. I've been nagging at Casaer to get moved up to a better district. I didn't think I would mind but now we have lost so many tributes. It's too hard to continue. But I still carry on.
For the 65th Games, I reap Amber for the girls and Jack for the boys. They are exact opposites right from the word go. Amber is smart, and tells us she was invited to study in District 3 and was supposed to be leaving the day after the reaping. She is 18, so she would have been free from the Reapings. Jack on the other hand, blatantly refuses to wear the costume we give him, refuses to eat and speak properly and during the chariot rides, begins to shout rude things at the audience. Surprisingly, he scores a 8 in training and makes an alliance with a huge boy from 11. Amber scores a 7, but makes an alliance with a young girl from 3 called Ella and a boy from 4 Finnick. Both have lots of sponsors- Ella because she's cute and Finnick because he's very handsome and charming.
Both tributes escape the bloodbath with their allies. Jack and his ally soon realise that there are lots of mutts in the arena and they arrange a camp and a watch system. Jack doesn't like it after his ally refuses to wake up, and he stabs him. He goes a little bit crazy then, shouting at the cameras that he hates this and hopes that they all die. He doesn't notice a small snake sneaking up on him. It bites his foot, and he is dead within the hour, 9 days into the games. Amber and her allies run into the swamp part of the arena. The boy from four sets traps with nets and Amber covers them in varying poisons. They get chased by the careers, killing one but then eventually running. Ella is killed simply because she is the slowest. When they go back, they hold her hand as she dies. Then Amber steps backwards into a net. A net covered in poison ripped spikes. Eventually it was her own cleverness that got the better of her. She had no family, after Finnick thanked her in the victory tour, she was never mentioned again.
