Ruby was standing outside of her dorm, she was conversing with her dead teammate's spirts. She was having a lot of fun with the conversation, she was laughing loudly. She was laughing and talking so much, that she attracted the attention of team JNPR.

Pyrrha opened the door of her dorm and saw Ruby in the hallway, she then asked Ruby, "Hey who are you talking to?"

Ruby was snapped out of her conversation, she quickly responded to Pyrrha, "I was just talking and laughing to my self." Pyrrha looked at her like she was crazy but then said "Okay." and just went back into her room.

Ruby then began talking with her teammates again.

"That was close." Ruby said.

"You know I think that excuse is going stop working eventually, and may even backfire on you." Weiss warned.

"What's the worst that can happen?" Ruby asked while shrugging.

Well, after a few weeks and many more times of saying, "I was just talking to myself.", Sumire and JNPR started getting concerned with Ruby. Ruby had been caught many times, "talking to herself."

Eventually the 5 of them then discussed the Ruby matter. Eventually they came to a solution.

It was one that they were completely sure that Ruby was not going to like, but it would be a necessary action, for Ruby's sake.

Ruby had just come back from a walk around school and was heading into her dorm room. She was whistling happily, she just had a great conversation with Yang and Blake. Now she was going to either watch Tv or play video games.

But when she walked into her dorm, she saw Pyrrha, Nora, Sumire and Jaune. Then she noticed that Ren was behind her, who had just closed the door.

"Uh What's up guys?" Ruby asked, uneasily.

"Ruby look, we love and we're concerned for you." Sumire started saying.

"Which is why we decided to have you...evaluated...mentally." Jaune said. "What!? Why!?" Ruby asked in surprise.

"You've been talking to yourself a lot, we want to make sure if you have a condition or something so that you can get help." Pyrrha said.

"I see." Ruby said, seemingly resigned.

Ruby sniffed, scratched her nose, and walked over to her closet, while walking she was talking, "So uh looks like you guys had some ideas about how this would go down. I can see by your formation and the fact that you guys are nervously clutching your weapons, you people are aware that this can go one of two ways."

Ruby then arrived at her closet and began rummaging through it, she was talking during this as well, "I've been practicing a new style of fighting and I've been wanting to try it out. Yes we're doing this the hard way."

Ruby then pulled a sword, the one she had been practicing with. "Well then" Ruby said as she turned to face her now opponents, "En garde, I let you try my Wu-Tang style." She said with a smirk.

The fact that they had one, surprised Sumire. She could barely believe how fierce of an opponent Ruby was. In fact she was sure that even JNPR underestimated her.

Sumire, Pyrrha and Ren were carrying an unconscious Ruby to the mental hospital. Ruby was bloody, broken mess, she had to be in order to be completely incapacitated. As they were walking, Ruby's blood was falling from her mouth.

Towards the end of the battle, Jaune, who was scared half to death, to make sure Ruby wouldn't get back up, kicked Ruby repeatedly in the stomach. Eventually she started coughing up blood, and apparently there was still blood in her mouth.

Jaune couldn't help out the three carry Ruby, having passed out due to exhaustion.

Nora attempted to incapacitate Ruby by breaking her legs, but in an amazing reversal, which can't even be described, Ruby broke her legs instead. So Nora was at the hospital being treated for broken legs.

Sumire, Pyrrha and Ren themselves, were bloody and battered, it was taking every last ounce of strength they had to carry Ruby.

Finally they arrived at the reception of the hospital and dropped Ruby's body on the ground.

"Hi this is our friend we had called earlier about, we would like her to be mentally evaluated." Sumire said to the nurse.

"Ah yes we were waiting for you but...er...wouldn't you guys rather go to a hospital first?" The nurse suggested. "No we're fine, we just need her to be evaluated." Sumire responded. "Oh and don't worry, Ruby did consent to this evaluation." Pyrrha added.

"Um okay then, I guess we'll take her in." The nurse said. Then she signaled for nurses and doctors to carry Ruby on back.

After Ruby was taken away, the three passed out and collapsed on the floor.

When Ruby came to, she was sat up on a chair and was tied up. "Hey why am I in a straightjacket?" Ruby asked. The doctors had cleaned up Ruby so she looked a lot better now.

Ruby then noticed the doctor in the room.

"Hello Ruby, I am Dr. Stone and I am going to evaluate your mental health, sound good?"

"Sure Doc, but this is a waste time because I am not crazy." Ruby responded

"Oh well uh...we don't use the word crazy in here, we use neuro-divergent." The Doctor said.

"Whatever." Ruby simply just rolled her eyes.

The doctor began to ask Ruby questions and was performing some tests. He continued to ask questions.

While Ruby was being asked questions, she noticed three visitors in that room.

"What are you guys doing here?" Ruby asked her teammates.

"Oh we heard you were being mentally evaluated, so we wanted to see." Yang answered, smiling. Yang and Blake were standing up while Weiss was sitting on a spare chair.

"Man I never knew you were crazy Ruby." Blake said.

Ruby looked offended and said, "I am not crazy!"

"Huh, from what we heard the others say, you talk to yourself a lot?" Weiss said.

"No! That's when I'm talking to you guys!" Ruby responded. "You know what, guys get out of here!" Ruby commanded. "Why?" Yang asked.

"Because the doctor can't see you guys, and so when I'm talking to you people, it would look like I'm just talking to myself." Ruby explained. But the she realized something and she paled. She turned her head to face the doctor. The doctor was there and he had heard everything.

"Uh...I can explain." Ruby said, panicked.

"No need." The doctor said, smiling. Ruby thought she was in the clear but then the doctor spoke, "I can see from your...moment that you just had that you have Schizophrenia."

"What?!" Ruby yelled shocked.

"Don't worry we have pills for this condition, and you'll be able to live a normal life."

"But I'm not..." Ruby was going to protest but the doctor wasn't going to believe her, she had just talked to invisible people.

"Wow I guess you really are mentally ill." Weiss said. Ruby quickly turned to face her teammates, staring daggers at them.

"Oh and you're going to have to stay for 24 hours." The doctor said. "Great." Ruby simply responded.

The next day Ruby was released from the mental hospital, with prescription pills in her hand. She was going to throw them away but she knew her friends were going to make her take them, so she decided to avoid the hassle and just take them herself. They weren't going to do anything to her considering she knew she wasn't schizophrenic.

While walking to the airships, she noticed Penny on the street.

"Hey Penny." Ruby greeted in passing. "Hi Ruby." Penny responded and smiled at her.

Ruby then made it to the airships and returned to Beacon. When she found her friends, she apologized to them for hurting them, especially Nora, since she broke her legs.

Sumire made sure that Ruby would take the pills and so she would, knowing they wouldn't have an effect.

But then after a week she noticed that her teammates hadn't appeared yet. She began to get worried.

Then...a month passed and she had yet to see her teammates. She was incredible worried and frightened, she began to believe that her teammates were in fact an illusion and that she was truly mentally ill.

But then a miracle came.

Ruby walked to her dorm, Sumire was at the library and was studying with Ruby before Ruby decided to leave.

She opened the door and then gasped, she couldn't believe the sight before her. Before her were Yang, Blake and Weiss.

"Thank the lord up above." Ruby muttered. Ruby then smiled and rushed to her teammates, hugging them all in a giant hug.

"OHMYGODOHMYGOD! Where were you guys all this time? Why haven't you guys visited me in so long?" Ruby asked, still in shock.

"Oh we wanted to mess around with you, so we didn't show up for all this time to make you think that you were actually crazy. Sorry about the cruel joke sis." Yang said.

Ruby was angry but that was quickly taken over by relief.

"It was cruel, but I'm just so glad to see you guys." Ruby smiled at them, and they smiled back at her. They then caught up with each other, discussing the month that had just passed.

Then when they were done, Ruby and her team came up with a plan to make sure that Ruby wouldn't get caught talking to them again. They had to make sure there would be no one close, within earshot, there could be no possibility that anyone could catch Ruby talking.

It would be hard but they were sure they could do it, unfortunately it may mean that they couldn't talk in the dorm, but that was a sacrifice they had to make.

After some time, Ruby hadn't gotten caught talking to her teammates, to which her friends thought that the medication was working and Ruby would be fine. Ruby was glad they had fallen for her ruse.
