"I told you the thing in the cage was a boarbatusk."

Nodding thoughtfully, Rhet replies to my comment, "Well, to be fair I did think that it was a boarbatusk but now we have proof. Weiss did take a much longer time than you but the way you took down that boarbatusk back then is questionable."

Are my ears still on my head? I give them a twitch. Yup. I'm surprised this guy rattling on and on about his past achievements haven't caused my ears to drop off yet. No one else in class is fairing any better. I swear the guy in the corner with the black coat is asleep and the person next to him in what looks like a white suit (heh, looks like I'm not the only one who doesn't like the uniform) is folding paper airplanes and throwing them around, using his semblance to cause the planes to fly in circles around the room. Even the studious Rhet is bored, spinning that crystal quill of his like a top, wearing a small hole into the table.

"So who among you believe themselves to be the embodiment of these traits?" Finally. I thought that oaf would never stop talking. Now please, just get on with the class! Thankfully, my wish is granted as he asks for a volunteer for a demonstration. Silence is the only reply to his request, everyone else is sleeping or too bored to pay attention and realise what's going on. Seeing that I'm the only one who is actually looking at him, the Professor grins and gestures towards me, telling me that I'm the "lucky" student that gets to perform for the whole class.

"And your partner for this demonstration." Professor Port walks towards a large rectangular object with a curtain covering it. Pulling off the fabric, he reveals a rattling cage with two red eyes staring out of it, a growl coming from it. I recognise the growl, it's unmistakable to a trained tracker, it belongs to a boarbatusk. Hmm, unless one uses a weapon with enough firepower, the only way to kill it is by attacking its belly. Too much trouble, might as well just use my big game gun.

From my belt, I pull out a dual barrelled pistol, from the pouch on its left, I take out two of the six bullets that it contains. They are huge, about the length of my index finger and twice as thick, they're too volatile to constantly keep loaded in my gun. Pressing them down each barrel, using an arrow to push it all the way in I look up to see Professor Port gathering everyone attention.

"Alright everyone, Mr -, uh your classmate is about to show us how he deals with a boarbatusk. When you're ready my dear sir, just give me the word."

Looking around, I notice that most of the students are still in dream land, well this will wake them up. I smirk and point my pistol at the caged boarbatusk.

"Now." With that, I rapidly fire the two shots at the beast. The first one hits the cage and causes a small explosion, destroying the cage, launching the remnants of the cage around the room and causing quite a bit of smoke. The other shot nails the boarbatusk and splatters its remains onto the walls of the room.

Now everyones pays attention. The few who knows what's going on immediately stare at me, first because they can't believe what I just did, then because they notice how I look. Most of the time, I keep my hoodie up so no one has seen my face clearly yet. My fringe can be considered spiky and the colour of my hair is ebony but each strand of hair in my fringe or the side of my head abruptly turns silver a few centimetres above bottom. My eyes are leaf green but the thing that catches their attention are the silver wolf ears on the top of my head, telling the world that I'm a faunus.

Before anyone can say anything, Professor Port dismisses everyone due to the condition the classroom is in. As the students leave the classroom, I hear one of them, a blonde boy with a crossbow mutter "Great, another damned faunus."

"Ouch. Did you really have to bring that up? That happened years ago."

Rhet smiles when he hears this, damn, that must have been the reason he brought up the topic in the first place. Git.

As I'm about to reprimand him, the door opens and Fireo and Lioso enter, the latter carrying a small cardboard box.

"Hmm, so what brings you two here? And how are you Fireo?"

"Hey boss, hey Rhet and I'm fine, thanks. Anyway, Ozpin is trying something new. Since we are all doing so well, the entire level is gonna be getting missions ranging from small and unimportant to missions of the highest level. And these are the stuff we get."

While Fireo says this, Lioso opens the cardboard box and pulls out a scroll and a small card before passing it to Fireo who does the same and passes it Rhet. Rhet takes out two cards and reads what's on them before passing one to me.

"I didn't know your middle them is 'Gray'" he comments as I receive the card. Looking down at it, I realise it is an I.D card of some sort, with the school logo at the top with the words "Beacon Adcademy" below it, a picture of my face on the left of the card, a picture of our team logo on the right, my name in the middle and the title " Beacon Hunter in Training" below it.

"It's like a police badge. Actually, it may as well be a police badge as being a hunter in training is equivalent to being a police officer." Fireo explains as I re-read the card. "And you didn't tell us your middle name was cerulean, Rhet."

"Do you guys have a middle name?" I ask, gesturing to the two of them.

"Yeah, my full name is Fireo Dawn Emberno and for Lioso it's Lioso Volt Nugner." Fireo replies while Lioso simply nods.

Just then, all of our scrolls beeped, and a message appeared on the screen. The message is a test to check whether or not the scrolls are working and also tells us that there is a briefing that we need to attend, though I'll probably just watch from one of the security cameras. The others say their goodbyes before heading out the door, leaving me to my thoughts.

Hmm, so now we'll have missions, this will be interesting.
