Oh My God, only 5 days left until we FINALLY get a new episode! Did you guys watch the interviews and clips yet? If not, you HAVE to watch them! It's going to be a tough one.
Anyways, enough of that. Here's a new chapter! Sorry if it sucks. I literally just wrote this so excuse any typos. Hope you enjoy!
After Olivia got herself together from her minor breakdown, she looked at Cragen and gave him a week smile. She wiped away the remaining tears and pulled away from her captain. "I'm sorry for all of this. I didn't mean to worry you guys; I just had to clear my head," she explained.
Cragen nodded. "I understand but, next time please let somebody know. We were all worried sick."
She just nodded.
"You should go home and get some rest," he suggested.
She nodded. "I just need to check in on Nick first."
Olivia saw Fin heading out of the locker room and figured Nick was also in there.
"Liv, need a lift home?" Fin asked.
"No, thanks. Is Nick okay?"
Fin smiled and nodded. "Just a bloody nose but, he'll live. You okay?"
She nodded.
He nodded, even though he didn't believe her. "Goodnight."
"Night," she replied as she opened the door to the locker room. Walking in, she saw Nick with a dripping ice pack on his now cleaned nose.
"You okay?" she asked as she took a seat next to him on the bench.
He chuckled. "Yeah, I'm good. You?"
She shrugged. "I'm sorry for putting you in the middle. He was upset with me and he shouldn't have taken it out on you." She pointed to his nose.
"It's fine. I'm just glad you're okay. What happened though?"
"It was just a stupid fight, no big deal." She stood up and got him a few tissues to wrap around the dripping ice pack. "Here."
"Listen, I don't think it's a good idea for you to go home tonight. I have an extra room at my place. You should give him some time to cool off," Nick suggested.
"Thanks but, I don't think that's a great idea. I'm just going to crash in the cribs tonight."
Nick nodded, understanding that it wasn't such a good idea if Brian found out she was spending the night with the person he just punched. "Okay then, I'll see you tomorrow?"
She nodded and smiled. "Goodnight."
"Goodnight."

Olivia found herself wide awake on the hard mattress. She glanced at her phone, hoping to get a call, or at least a text, from Brian. She knew it wouldn't come, though. He was beyond upset with her and she didn't blame him.
Olivia knew that leaving in the middle of the night for hours would cause him to worry. After the whole thing happened with Lewis, Brian had every right to worry.
It was now 3 am and she hadn't slept a wink. She had to be up in another five hours for work. Thankfully, they just had to catch up on paperwork and then they would have the rest of the day off.
She closed her eyes and hoped sleep would take over.

Brian lay in their bed, with so many emotions going through his head. He was angry, sad, and relieved all at the same time.
Mad at Olivia. Mad at Nick. Mad at himself.
Sad that their relationship was failing. He waited over a decade for this woman and it's all gone to shit the past few months.
Finally, he was relieved. Relieved to find out that she was safe.

Olivia sat at her desk the next morning with a fresh face and fresh clothes. She looked as if nothing had happened last night.
They all did.
That's one of the things she liked about her squad. They would always be there to support each other but, they would never dwell on it.
"So did you sleep okay?" Nick asked, handing her a cup of coffee.
Olivia rolled her eyes and scoffed. "Yeah, the rock hard mattress made it easy to sleep," she joked.
Nick laughed. "Going home today?"
She nodded. "Yeah, I should probably talk to him."
Nick took a seat at his desk and turned on his computer. "Good luck with that."
She took a sip of her coffee. "Thanks, I'm going to need it."

Olivia got home around noon after she had finished all her paperwork. They had no new cases so Cragen let them all leave.
Brian was at work and she was relieved. She had a few hours before he would come home so she decided to clean around the house and get some laundry done.
It was around 7 pm when Brian got home.
Olivia was on the couch, catching up on a book she had recently started. She looked up, feeling her heart racing, when she heard the keys in the door.
Brian closed the door and hung up his coat, not acknowledging her presence.
She kept her eyes on him, waiting for him to say something, anything. But all he did was walk right past her, into their bedroom.
Olivia could feel the tears threatening to fall from her eyes. She closed her book and set it on the table.
Brian walked straight into their bedroom, still being upset from last night. He sat on the bed and opened up a few case files he had to catch up on.
Olivia didn't know whether to follow him or just hold back.
She wanted to give him space but, she hated that he was angry at her. After another hour, she figured she gave him enough time so she stood up and walked into their bedroom.
She saw him sitting up on their bed looking over a case file.
Brian looked up at her then back down without saying a word.
"Are you hungry? I made dinner."
Brian shook his head.
She nodded and sat down next to him. They were both silent for a few minutes until Olivia spoke up. "Are we going to talk about this?" she asked him.
He shook his head.
She kept her eyes focused on him. "I'm sorry that I left. I know you were worried and I should have let you know where I was," she tried.
Brian kept his focus on his case file.
Olivia ran a hand through her hair. This wasn't going to be easy. "You didn't have to get Nick involved and punch him in the face," she said, trying to get some kind of reaction out of him.
He didn't say anything.
"What do you want from me, Brian?" she asks.
Brian put his file down and looked at her. "No, what do you want from me? Do you even know the thoughts that were going through my head last night? How terrified I was when you were gone for hours with your phone turned off," he raised his voice and stood up.
Olivia felt the tears coming down her face. "I'm sorry-" she whispered but, he cut her off.
"I've been doing everything I possibly can to make this work and all you do is push me away and make me feel like shit! You said you don't want to do this anymore, then fine. I don't know what else to do to make this better," he raised his voice.
She looked down, knowing he was hurt by her words from last night. "Brian, I didn't mean that," she said quietly.
"Then why say it?" he asked, not believing her.
"I just had a lot going on in my head but, I didn't mean it. Brian, please, you have to believe that?"
Brian took a deep breath and looked down. "Maybe you were right. Maybe we need a break from each other."
Olivia quickly looked up at him. "Brian, please."
"I'm going to stay in the guestroom," Brian told her.
She couldn't believe this.
He closed his eyes and looked down. "I just need some space."
Please review! :D
