Hello everyone! Sorry it took so long for me to update but my laptop got all busted up and I had to get a new one, which I didn't receive until Thursday last week. I started this chapter the day I updated last with it all figured out, before the accident with my laptop *crying*, and forgot exactly what I was going to write but I hope that you all will still like this chapter!

Chapter 10: Lots of quality time with the ones you love

Lu slowly opened her eyes as sun light shined in to the cave. She slowly sat up and rubbed the sleep out of her eyes. "Ah so your awake. That's good." Rina said as she looked over at Lu. "Um… hello." Lu responded and looked at Katsu for answers. Katsu chuckled," this is Rina. I spotted her making her way back home in the rain and dragged her to the cave."

"Nice to meet you." Lu greeted cheerfully," same here." Rina replied. Katsu walked over to Lu and handed her a bottle of water, "thirsty?" he asked. "Um yes, thank you." Lu answered and slowly took the bottle of water from him. "No problem." He said and walked over to stand next to Rina. "If you're hungry I have some food in my bag." Rina informed with a smile as she watched Lu take a sip of water.

Lu closed the bottle and looked at Rina. "I'm not really hungry but thank you." She declined politely. 'How could any one ignore such a good mannered child?' Rina thought. "Well in that case, are you ready to meet my family?" Katsu asked with a smile. "Yes!" Lu answered happily. Rina giggled and looked at Lu with adoration. 'So cute, oh I can only hope my future child will be as cute as her.' Rina thought.

Katsu looked at Rina and smiled. "How about you, Are you ready to go?" he asked. Rina sighed," not really but that's only because of the large amount of affection my brother is going to give me when I get back." Rina answered with an irritated look on her face. "Huh?" Lu questioned, "You'll see when we get there." Rina said as she headed to the entrance of the cave. "Well I guess we better follow or she'll leave us behind." Katsu said as he followed her with Lu right behind him.

The three walked in silence until they reached a huge manor at the edge of the forest. "Reminds me of home only, it's bigger." Lu muttered nervously, "don't worry you wont be treated badly here that I can promise you." Katsu reassured as he turned his head to look at her. "Katsu is right they are really kind." Rina said as she practically danced up to the manor with excitement. Katsu smiled as he watched her before increasing his strides to the manor. They stopped at the patio when they saw Seth speaking with a teenage boy and Ryuu.

"Great my brother is here." Rina sighed wanting nothing more then to turn around and leave. "So is Ryuu." Katsu growled quietly as his now red eyes glared holes into Ryuu's back. Ryuu almost sensing Katsu's presence turned to glare right back. This caused Seth to turn his attention from Rina's older brother, Kaito, to his adopted son and friends. "Ah Katsu, Rina, you're back, wonderful." Seth greeted happily causing Rina's brother to do the same. "Rina!" he cried as he rushed towards her with incredible speed and hugged her close. "Oh Rina thank goodness you're ok I was so worried." He cried as he rubbed his cheek against the top of her head.

Rina's left eye twitched slightly in irritation before she punched her brother in the stomach and kicked him half way across the manor. "Whoa nice kick Rina that's your best distance yet." Seth said with a laugh as he walked up to the three with Ryuu following behind. "So who might you be my dear?" Seth asked kindly as he stopped in front of Lu. Lu shyly introduced her self as she slowly moved to hide behind Katsu. "Well it is very nice to meet you." He said before he turned his attention to Katsu. "Let me guess you brought her here hoping I would take her in." Seth asked in a serious tone. "Sir." Katsu's answered and bowed his head.

"Daddy!" Ayame cried as she rushed over to Seth. Seth suddenly smiled again before turning around to pick up Ayame. "Hey, how is my little princess?" He asked as he rubbed noses with her making her giggle. "Good…" Ayame trailed off as her eyes met Lu's. Suddenly Ayame's eyes lit up and she smiled. She quickly got out of her fathers grasp and walked over to Lu. "Hello my name is Ayame, what's yours?" she greeted with excitement shining in her lavender eyes.

Lu mumbled her name to her but Ayame heard it loud and clear. "I like your name but would it be ok if I call you Lu?" Ayame asked. Lu shook her head to let her know she didn't mind. Ayame giggled, grabbed Lu's hand, and dragged her towards the door. "Come on I want you to meet everyone." Ayame said as they entered the mansion. Ayame first dragged Lu to a room with an indoor pool and then over to the edge of the pool. Just then Haru came up out of the water for air.

"Hello Brother." Ayame greeted causing Haru to turn his head to look at her. "Hey Ayame. Who's your friend?" Haru asked as he pulled his goggles down around his neck. "This is Lu!" Ayame answered as she put an arm around Lu's shoulders. "Well hello Lu. My name is Haru and it is a pleasure to meet you." he greeted with a smile. Lu was just about to speak when another voice was heard from the doorway," Please stop acting all formal Haru. It's annoying."

The voice belonged to a sixteen year old girl with mid-length brown hair and blue eyes. She was leaning against the doorframe with her arms crossed and a board look on her face. "I never asked for your opinion." Haru retorted. "No one ever does." Sora said as he relaxed in a corner on the floor with one eye opened. 'When did he get there?' Lu thought as she looked towards Sora. "Oh shut up." The girl said emotionlessly. "The girl by the door is my big sister Lora and the boy lying in the corner is my twin brother Sora." Ayame whispered.

"Alright that's enough bickering you three." Seth said as he and Katsu showed up behind Lora. Well actually Katsu was being dragged by the hood of his jacket. "Aw come on pops were just having a little fun that's all." Sora Said as he sat up. Seth sighed and rubbed his temples. "Don't you all have somewhere to be?" Seth asked as he lowered his hand back down to his side. Lora slowly turned and left the room. Sora sighed and got up off the floor.

"Come on sis we got to go." He said as he slowly headed out of the room. "Coming!" Ayame called as she ran after him. Before she left the room she stopped at the doorway and looked at Lu. "Bye Lu." She said before running after her brother. "Well back to swimming." Haru said as he put his goggles back on and dived into the water. "Lu, could you come with me please?" Seth asked as he let go of Katsu who just sat there on the floor and looked between Lu and his foster father. Lu nodded and followed him away from the room.

He takes her to a room and slowly opens the door. He then walks in and sits down at a desk. Lu follows behind slowly and stands in front of the desk. Just then a gentle hand rests on her shoulder. "Relax there is no need to be so nerviest." A young woman said with a beautifully kind smile. She had long brown hair and lavender eyes. She then looked at Seth.

"So, Katsu told me about what happened, and while I really shouldn't be taking you in I'm going to do so anyways, but if your father ever comes looking for you then you must return. Do you understand?" Seth asked as he looked Lu in the eyes. Lu smiled," I understand." She said. "Well then welcome to the family." Seth said with a bright smile.

The scene faded to black as Lucy felt someone shaking her awake. 'Huh, what's going on?' she thought as she lifted her head up off of her arms and wiped the sleep from her eyes. "Man you were sleeping pretty hard but if you were tired you could have crawled into the bed I wouldn't have minded." Natsu said with a smile. 'Huh wait when did I fall asleep?' Lucy thought as she stretched her aching muscles. "Ow." Lucy hissed," Well that's what you get for falling asleep in a chair." Natsu said. He was sitting on the floor, on his knees, with his arms crossed on the desk and his head tilted to the side as it rested on his arms. Lucy looked down at the desk to see a few scattered papers and a pencil.

'Oh I must haven fallen asleep while I was working on my story.' She thought with a yawn. "Natsu what time is it?" she asked as she slowly stood up and gathered the scattered papers into a neat stack. "Dinner time." Natsu answered as he stood up and walked over to the bed. "Already?" Lucy questioned as she rubbed the back of her neck. "Yep a girl named Ayame and her twin brother is waiting outside the door." Natsu answered as he grabbed his waistcoat off of the bed and put it on. He then zipped it up and tucked it in. they then headed towards the door and opened it.

"Alright were ready!" Natsu announced as he stepped out of the room with a smile. Sora glared at him before Lucy and Ayame slapped him playfully up side the head. The two looked at each other and laughed as they started walking towards the guilds dining hall. Natsu gave them a confused look as they passed him but just shrugged and followed them. Sora rubbed his head and mumbled incoherent sentences as he followed them.

On the way to the dining hall Lucy chatted with Ayame. Once they reached the dining hall they split up. Lucy and Natsu went to look for Gray and Erza. "Natsu!" Happy called as he flew towards him. "Hey pal did you three manage to catch any fish?" Natsu greeted as Night and Luna flew up behind Happy. Luna Landed on Lucy's head and just hung there while Night sat on her shoulder. "Yeah we caught lots of them!" Happy answered happily as he sat on Natsu's shoulder. "How many did each of you catch?" Lucy asked as her and Natsu started towards one of the tables.

"I caught five!" happy answered as he held his paw up in the air. "Seven." Night said," ten!" Luna replied happily, her tail swishing around. "Sound like you guys had a great day." Lucy said with a laugh as she and Natsu took a seat. Luna, Night, and Happy jumped onto the table, "You bet Lucy." Happy said. Just then they spotted Gray and Erza walking towards them. "Hey Gray. Hey Erza." Lucy greeted with a smile as they reached the table. "Yo." Gray greeted," hello Lucy."

Gray and Erza sat down just as Katsu walked over. "Hey have you guys already told Rina what you want to eat?" he asked. "Um no, we haven't." Erza answered as she glanced at the others. "Well that's ok, just tell me what you want and I'll let her know." Katsu said with a smile, "thanks Katsu." Lucy said. The four told Katsu what they wanted before thanking him and heading off to find a table to sit at.

"So Lucy how much progress have you made on that new story you have been working on?" Erza asked as she sat down. "I've written about ten twenty-twenty five page chapters so far." Lucy answered as she sat down beside Erza. "How long have you been working on it exactly?" Gray asked as he sat down across from Erza. "About a month I think." Lucy answered as Natsu sat down across from her. "Did you even finish the one you were writing when we met?" Natsu asked trying to show at least a little interest in the matter. "Of course. didn't I tell you guys?" Lucy answered before asking a question of her own. The three shook their heads in reply.

"Oh sorry I thought I told you but I guess I didn't." Lucy said sheepishly. "It's fine just so long as you let me read it." Erza said with a slight excitement shining in her eyes. Lucy nodded in reply to the request. "I still want to know what happens next." Gray stated with interest. "Alright but you have to wait for Levy and Juvia are finished reading it." Lucy said. "Huh Juvia is reading it?" Gray asked obviously surprised by the information. Lucy nodded," She was reading the first chapter over Levy's shoulder a few days after I finished it. As promised, Levy got to be the first to read it when I had finished." Lucy explained with a smile.

Just then Rina and Ayame came over to the table with their food and drinks. The two girls placed their meals in front of them. "Enjoy your meal." Rina and Ayame said in unison with a smile before walking away. The group then started to eat. "Wow this is really good!" Lucy exclaimed. Erza and Natsu nodded in agreement. "Eh it's ok." Gray said with a look that said "I've had better".

He wouldn't admit it out loud but Juvia's food tastes better than what he was eating at the moment. (AN: this is a hint to something later either in this story or the sequel I'm thinking about doing if this story goes well). "You're crazy dude this is great." Natsu said with his mouth full of food. "Natsu swallow your food before you speak!" Lucy said angrily. Natsu swallowed his and looked at Lucy. "Sorry." He apologized before continuing to stuff his face. Lucy sighed, Erza just ignored him, and Gray looked at him in disgust.

When they were finished eating they headed back to their rooms. "So am I still staying in your room?" Natsu asked as they came to a stop at Lucy's room. "As far as I know you are." She answered as she opened the door and walked in. Natsu let the three exceeds go in before going in as well. Lucy walked over to the chair at the desk and sat down. A tied Luna and Night headed over to a light blue arm chair in the corner of the room by the window, which they jumped up onto, and curled up next to each other on the cushion. Happy walked over to Lucy and jumped into her lap.

Lucy watched as Happy curled up in her lap before gently stroking his head. Lucy smiled down at the blue exceed in her lap before turning her attention to Natsu, who was sitting at the foot of the bed in front of her. "Hay Natsu?" she questioned," yeah?" he replied. "Who do you think would have the guts to attack a guild full of dragon slayers? And why would they attack in the first place?" Lucy asked. Natsu shrugged," I don't know Luce but they would have to either be really strong to do this much damage against so many or absolute cowards if they attacked the guild while they were away." He answered. "Yeah I guess." Lucy said before picking Happy up out of her lap, placing him on the arm chair next to Night, and heading to the bathroom to change. When she was done she came back to see Natsu already fast asleep on the bed.

Lucy walked over to the bed and slid in under the covers. She lay down on her side with her back towards Natsu and closed her eyes. But just before she could fall into a deep sleep she saw a flash of red and heard a painful roar causing her to jolt up. Natsu noticed the sudden movement, immediately opened his eyes, sat up, and looked at Lucy. "What is it?" he asked with concern. Lucy looked at him and smiled," nothing I just remembered that there was something I wanted to ask Erza but it can wait until tomorrow." She answered. Natsu wasn't convinced but decided to let it go,' she'll tell me when she's ready.' He thought as he pulled her back down with him and let her cuddle into his arms.
