Just so you guys don't get confused, this kinda jumps around in time, between Finnick and Maia. So Maia's part of the chapter could have taken place before or after Finnick's

Finnick's POV:

We reached the city in about 9 days. I knew it was the Capitol. We started to walk the streets and I, against Gales protests, asked a few people if the had seen a pretty, short girl, with straight brown hair and gray eyes. Nobody had. I figured If she was in the city, she had only been here for a day or two.

We combed through the streets looking for anything, but found nothing. I realized then if I could have anything, it wouldn't be Annie and my son, it would be her. Even if she left again. I needed to explain, a final kiss.

Just when we had given up hope, about a week later, I saw the back of a girl that I would know anywhere. But she was with another boy. She was laughing at something he said, really laughing. And they were holding hands.

Maia's POV:

"H-Henry?" I said.

"Maia," He stood up and walked over to me. I wrapped my arms around his neck and buried my face in his suit. When I looked back at his face, I realized mine was wet. He put his hand on my cheek and brushed some of the tears away. I leaned into his touch.

I had tried to forget Henry. I thought he was dead, that the Capitol had killed him. But here he was, mayor. "Ingrid, you may leave us," he said to to woman who had brought me here. She turned and left, shutting the door behind her. "Maia, when I heard you were here, I send Ingrid immediately to find you,"

"How did you know I was here though?" I asked puzzled.

"I was waiting for you," he whispered.

Then I pushed my self up on my toes and kissed him. He was surprised at first, but it wasn't the first time I had kissed him. I tangled my fingers in his soft hair and my mouth parted slightly in the kiss. He moaned slightly so I kissed harder. when his hands made contact with the small of my back I gasped slightly. I felt his lips smile. "I've missed that," he said. I laughed softly. "Where are you staying?" he asked me.

"Nowhere," I said and looked down. I had been living in underground for the past couple years, I was planning on sleeping on the street.

"Well, I happen to have an extra room," he smiled, and I laughed again. Wow, he was gorgeous. He had tan skin and warm, coffee-brown eyes, and dark brown hair that was slightly mussed from my fingers.

"Come home with me," he said.

"Okay."
